Hello everyone! Congratulations to all who have been awarded visas and for we intending ones! My question please: I am a 3rd year PhD student currently in naija to renew my passport with my family. Please does family size affect visa approval? We are a family of six. Also, any transcripts from F1 students who applied with their families would be very highly appreciated. Thank you! @Fairheart thanks for all you do! Thanks in advance for all the responses! 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Good morning academic minds, I will be going for my interview in Abuja next week. Please do I need to photocopy my documents? If yes how many copies or sets ? At what point do I need to do the documentation? Do they accept stapled documents or I should not staple at all? I will so much appreciate a good feedback especially from someone who has done his/her interview. Thanks alot! |

Just curious to know why you didn't renew your passport in the US and apply for US visa in Mexico or Canada? Queenneomakanu: |

Hemingway:You dnt need to do any photocopies of all the documents you need. The US embassy is not a document Embassy. Your i-20, IP, Appointment letter, DS-160 confirmation, Offer letter, GA letter/ Sponsorship evidence( Bank Statement) are needed. Just take the print out copy with you and you should be fine. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Tricia14: The best ‘lodge’ close to MMA is inside the AIRFORCE BARRACKS, the second gate that’s close to local and international airports not the gate that’s close to Oshodi oh. The only problem there is that, it’s mostly not for civilians. You know how the country military people are, but if you can find your way in (knowing someone), it would be very ok. An average room is less than 10k, ofc, total security and they obey the Military rule of everyone should be in by 10 Pm. PS: It’s trackable to the local airport and like 5mins drive to international airport (we dey treck am sef). N200 or less for a cab. Shalom! |

Hi Everyone, My F1 visa interview is this Thursday but I am a bit scared due to some reasons: 1. My 2 years work experience does not correlate with I am going to study for Msc. 2. I do not know how I can strongly demonstrate a home tie. 3. I want to ask if I can still edit my already completed DS-160 form between today and tomorrow Night. 4. I need volunteers who wouldn't mind to have mock interviews with me (Please don't air me ). If you have passed through this journey before and you prepared well, please kindly help me out. God bless you all 3 Likes |

Please, I would like the gurus here to advise/ assist me. I want to apply to a university in US for my master's program and I will be needing their graduate assistantship. I graduated with a CGPA of 2.88/5.0, I studied Agricultural Economics. I still want to study Agricultural Economics or anything related. Do I stand a chance of getting admission with an assistantship? What do I need to do, please? Thank you, guys. |

Having waited for a response from Lagos embassy with no response. I decided to switch to Abuja. I applied just yesterday and I got a date today. August 18. My school resumes September 1st so I still have sometime. Although I'm still gonna try my luck with EA for Abuja. Actually I got a lady at the embassy to help me fast track it. |

mimme14sure:Do WES Evaluation at first as your GPA is very low. After that , do GRE & TOEFL and try to score at least 300 and 90(S-23) respectively then your chance is very bright to apply to schools that accept a GPA that’s below 3.0/4. You can apply to courses like Animal Science, Plant Biology, Economics , Plant Science etc. 4 Likes |

TitilayoAde: Hi! I can't speak for the OP but currently foreign nationals can't enter Canada unless it's for essential purposes even if you're vaccinated. Mexico appts available for non Mexican nationals is like December and you can't request emergency interview. The best advice they give you is to go back to your home country if you really want to renew visa. It wasn't like this pre-covid I went to Canada twice pre-2020. |
