Bigflamie: Stop this rubbish.. any capable hand in the south is good to go.. A southern Man see his co southern as one, don't try to create unnecessary political disunity down south.. Since we have 2 grounded pol party, let the 2 Pol party throw their card open where they have weight. Most likely APC SW, PDP for SE &SS. Osinbanjo/Fashola/Amaexhi will fight for APC ticket Wike/Makinde/Okowa will fight for PDP ticket.. Anyone wey finally win is ok.. |

Bigflamie:who in the east to be precise, you can't just give it to a northern slave from the east imagine giving it to rochas or uzodinma they will still carry the power to asskiss the north, Nigeria needs a southern leader who can place the interest of the South above kissing the ass of the north. |

Chill brah! The north need not 'put a banana BTW southerners' because there is nothing like 'southerners' in d first place but bed of strange fellows. The noisemakers who hitherto had seen no good in anyone but herself and has all of a sudden remembered that it has a (newly found) brother in d same person it had constantly openly derided for eons. All na because of 2023! Once 'she' gets what it so craved for, she returns to hate mode. ItsTutsi: |

Wichtig: No disrespect but emotional people like you are the reason the South will continue to lag behind the Machiavellian North at the game of politics. Who will vote for Akeredolu, Abaribe etal you guys are touting ignorantly? Or have you sentimental people found a magical solution that will completely prevent the North voting in 2023 or that will miraculously compel them to vote for those they perceive to be openly against their interest? 1 Like 1 Share |

danilmo: If it's not a southeasterner then have it in mind that there's nothing like southern unity, we will definitely throw our weight behind a northern candidate. There are no two ways about. Have this in mind, this I stated is the opinion of 98% of the populace down in eastern Nigeria. |

Easterners should wake up, I'm seeing Tinubu's handwriting on the wall. I don't like division down south but if by producing a president and southeast is skeemed out then the north will continue to rule this injustice called Nigeria. |

Bigflamie:It will not be a southeastern candidate. You know that The whole whole knows that .Even unborn children know that You Threw your weight behind Tofa against Abiola in 1993 Behind Shagari in 1983 Behind Shagari in 1979 Behind Balewa in 1965 Behind Balewa in 1960. Nothing new there. No one takes you seriously because of this emotional and politically naive approach. You are the only ones in the South saying if we don't get it we will support the north. Evidence of a lack of rational decision making, indiscipline and unreliability. When you make decisions or take actions the consequences outlive you . Today you are still living with the consequences of Ojukwu's actions Your weight as kingmakers is weightless and everyone makes their calculus WITHOUT the SE because of this attitude. The same Fulani you have served for decades are today calling you dot in a circle or 5% No one is even attempting to change your minds.Do what is in your interest and let other do the same .Stop making empty threats MKO Abiola won a landslide without you. Come 2023 if Nigeria is still standing a southern president will be installed WITHOUT YOU The woman in the bible whose child died and was taken to King Solomon for judgment comes to mind. Her thinking; my own child has died so why should her neighbour's child survive. That sums it all up |

richie240:The same argument applies in reverse and that is why Buhari could not win despite his huge following. In summary to win the presidency today the President must get 25% of the votes in 24 states The north has 19 states The south has 17 states. No candidate can become president without getting support from north and south The truth is that the North has never voted as one block In 1979 there was a 12 2/3 crisis. The law said that in other to win the presidency a candidate MUST gather 25% of the votes in 13 states The eventual winner; Shagari could only do this in 12 states. 7 out of 10 in the North and 5 out of 9 in the South In Kano he got 20% . The case was eventually settle in court .So Shagari could not cross that threshold in Kano State. His party the NPN was able to win the governorship in 5 out 10 Northern state at the time Sokoto, Benue, Kwara,Niger and Bauchi. It did not win Kano, Kaduna, Plateaus, Borno or Gongola the remaining 5 states. In fact Plateau state was won by NPP = Nnamdi Azikiwe's party |

richie240: Don't mind them. A people always 100% driven by hate and unreasonable egotism. How the fck can an Igbo win Nigerian majority votes given what most Nigerians now justifiably percieve Igbos to be? Igbos do things daily, whether a beauty contestant in Russia defacing our flag or UGM slaughtering armed forces personnel, that shows other Nigerians they can never be trusted with power because of their palpable hatred of Nigeria. Until that perception changes, bearing in mind only Igbos can make it change, how will Nigerians be comfortable voting an Igbo to be their President? How many Northerners, including El Rufai etal, have chided Igbos alone for being so rabidly anti-Nigerian yet insisting they must lead that very same nation it is obvious they hate and always appear willinv to sabotage? |

festacman: As at today, the APC is almost ready ready to hand her ticket to the south (west?) it remains just a few governors who have parochial political views to be brought on board. However, as for the PDP, it is a totally different story. Even, the southerners in the party are clamouring for northerners. It is as bad as that |

candidtalk:What even does it for me is d massive support such treacherous and unpatriotic acts attracts from their majority, which goes to show their collective mindset. You see them cheering such dispicabe acts with tons of encouraging and supportive comments, likes and shares and then turn around to wail when such fellows are apprehended. That speaks volume.....and shows where they stand. "UGM kills 10 soldiers", u see them beating the rejoice drum, but " ugm arrested/killed", d wail of "innocent citizen" rents d air. 1 Like |
