The biggest difference between the Super Slim and previous PS3 models is the power supply (PSU, or power supply unit), & console size.

The Super Slim does offer one major improvement: quiet fans. The Super Slim is the quietest home console I’ve ever used. It’s silent compared to the jumbo jet PS3 fat. there are games I don’t install on fat, reason is because they’re too heavy and Installing them on a fat console damages the processor.

PS3 fat doesn’t spoil easily like u stated if you adhere to instructions.

Some customers insist I download heavy games but I tell them the implications. GTA is not a heavy game but I don’t install it on fat.

Please I have a PS3 extra fat. I bought it in 2007. It developed the RLOD problem in 2009/2010 thereabout and the repairer was clueless. Are there more technicians now who can repair it? If so where can I find them in Lag?

I don’t think there’s any remedy to that since someone has attempted to fix it and it didn’t work.

What they normally do is to put 1 or 2 ic to help boost the console.

The guy didn’t use any ics. My memory is a bit dim since this was a long time ago, 2009/2010. But I remember he used a heat gun and toothpaste. That was all. He was clueless. I never had time to take it to anyone else. YouTube didn’t really help much back then cos the videos I saw talked about using a hair dryer and covering the console with a thick towel or duvet to melt some metal plates in the system.
