Not true.

For too long the North has given power to the south, when in all actually the south has been dominating the presidency.

The south ruled with OBJ for 8 year, GEJ for 6 years, and the North only had Aso Rock for less than 2 years during Yar'Adua of blessed memory. It is not a must for presidency to rotate, democracy is based on election not selection, the south is too small, and disunited to win elections at this point in our history.

The North will retain the presidency, but the North is prepared to rotate the VP position between the SW, SS, and potentially the SE. Since the majorities of Nigerians are Northerners, it is only fair that the political representation mirrors our nation's demographic dimensions.

Presidency will stay in the North because the North is united, a Yoruba will never vote an Igbo, and the Igbo will not allow the Yoruba to have the presidency twice before they have it once. As such, the south is not ready. Moreover, the south is harboring and quietly supporting secessionists.

2023 will be full of surprises.

Nobody buy your idea, go and sleep in the toilet with your bandit goons. It is a MUST

I dey your back Fehintola. But why you come spoil your name like this? You've made nonsense of its deep meaning.

Thanks bro. There is a big story behind "Vehintolar" but unfortunately, I can't narrate it all here. It's actually in memory of my Caribbean friend,my best friend actually while in the college. There was this particular day I asked her to spell "Fehintola" and she spelt and wrote it as "Vehintolar" instead !

Fehintola is my grandmother's name. The big deal here is that Vanessa ( the girl) died in a plane crash same day my grandmother also breathed her last !

Do have a nice day at work bro.

Yaradua ruled after Obasanjo, his death paved way for Jonathan. The North had no choice but to accept. The South don’t have to agree on one candidate, it’s politics, and both Buhari and Atiku got support from the South.

Then logically Jonathan shouldn’t have contested after severing 2 years to complete the 1st term. A northerner should have been forced by the party to contest and do yaradua’s 2nd term if it is a MUST.

Do u understand why it is not a must now??

Why are you lying? Yard adua was president btw May 2007 to March 2010. Almost three years and you are saying less than two years.

You northerners are always trying to be mischievous with yar adua tenure to prove the north had not been in power for long. When you add Buhari eight years, will that not be 11 years for the north since 1999? When you now add shehu shagari number of years from 79- 83 as president, has the north not supercede the south in terms of being civilian president?

Let us fear God abeg, enough of the lies. And for your information no northerner can command the kind of followership like PMB so it will be too difficult for any northener to win in 2023. We are not deceived as PMB is no longer contesting and even despite the followership of PMB until he teamed up with tinubu, he could not win any ward in the south. This is why pdp and their followers hate tinubu cos that was the difference.

The north is overrating itself and is not as united as people think. It's a different ball game now and even the northern elites know this but are only pretending

Actually is a must. Considering the peculiarity of Nigeria, the country must run based on equity, transparency, fairness and equality and that's the only way to keep this nation as one. As long as our leaders and people keep politics of convinence, we ll lead this country to its destruction and then everyone's eye ll be opened

Ode, the first two years of GEJ was due to necessity. We know how the north forth it tooth and nail. The next four years was the real contest, which the north also opposed. What are you saying that doesn’t make sense.
The north has only marginally supported one southern leader & that is Abiola who was a close accomplice of the northern oligarchs and looters.
Obasanjo was largely supported by the north because they expected him to be their slave since they brought him out of prison and installed him to cover up the Abiola saga. He initially played along ( which made Atiku one of the wealthiest persons on earth). But they opposed him immediately he started trying to liberate himself.

Stop this none sense of the North supports sm1 so u can be their slave. Do u know what a slave is? I call that ipob language. Nobody is anybody’s slave. If u are stupid people will naturally take advantage of u. In politics it also happens that way and u start to say ure a slave. Them chain anybody??

Now On to the more serious discussion. If we should follow logic Jonathan had no business doing a 2nd term for yaradua and even making it a 1st term for him all to still contest for a 3rd term or rather his formal 2nd term even after obasanjo had served 2 terms. Bt implication the south would have severed 8+10. And yet we or rather Igbos will say North have born to rule mentality.

If u say Jonathan was supposed to serve more terms out of necessity then nothing stops North from serving more term of necessity warrants it cos now the North is short changed in away bt the south is looking at that angle.

If Jonathan won Buhari and served 12 years the south will still call it necessity? Is yaradua’s tenure 12 years or 8 years assuming the necessity is completing yaradua’s tenure?? undecided

Or is the necessity also for him to serve yaradua’s tenure and serve his own tenure as a southerner to that even after obasanjo’s tenure? Is that not a cheating rather than so called necessity?

If the North had such necessity excuses I’m sure the south will cry more than foul. undecided

The south does not need to agree on any candidate, Power will come to the south in 2023, it's none negotiable

It is very negotiable and not a must. If a Northerner contests and wins nothing will happen. It is still constitutional just like Jonathan a southern contested to serve almost 12 years straight bt lost.

Your fellow Southerner is in a position to give you employment.
You go to him for employment.

You speak good English and write an excellent application letter to impress him.

He tells you to bring your qualifications.

You bring your First Degree (First Class or second class).

He tells you to go and do your Masters and even PhD for you to get the job.

ON THE OTHER HAND

A Northerner is in a position to give employment.

An Hausa Man goes to him.

He speaks Hausa to him.

He tells him to bring his qualifications.

He brings a third class degree or an SSCE with two Credits.

He gets the job and saves money to further his education.

He gets a Masters Degree while doing the job.

Tomorrow, he is appointed as Executive Director.

Ten years Later, he becomes Chairman or DG of the Agency.

The Southerner sees this and hates on the Hausa Man.

He accuses him of nepotism.

But that's not nepotism.

That's communalism.

Southerners must understand the difference between nepotism and communalism.

Helping your Brother to succeed is not nepotism.

Southerners just need to learn how to love one another like Northerners do.

Stop hiding opportunities from your people.

Northerners do not hide opportunities from their people.

Awon southern Were with low mentality. They are all Lily livered.

The north has a born to rule mentality, which subsists prior to now when this generation has become wiser. The better forget that idea for good!
Who is a slave? A slave is someone who obeys another called a master regardless of merits or demerits. The truth is that some people are slaves to the north. How else do you explain how some southern leaders allow the north get away with so much. Even when the wealth of Nigeria comes from a region in the south? The population the north relies on is suspect, as there has never been a credible census in Nigeria. Also it is common knowledge that underaged and foreigners are allowed to vote to make the fake numbers in the north.
Secondly the constitutional doctrine of necessity was only forced on the north for Yaraduas last 2yrs. The law mandated GEJ to complete that tenure after the death of his principal, Yaradua. We know how Yaradua's wife & the northern oligarchy frustrated most efforts to follow the law. They even had to hide the death of Yaradua. That 2years was not a southern tenure. Sadly, GEJ did not use the rare opportunity destiny gave him to provide exemplary leadership. This was what gave room for the scam we all suffer today.

It's so sad. Reason most southerners especially yorubas no too give a damn about the presidency. If not for the insecurity that has invaded the SW of late, I no too care about the presidency ish.

U have no idea what a slave means or u don’t have a better word to describe what u want to say. The North is the most uneducated so the few educated ones stand out. There is also less competition for them like in the south.

B4 oil was discovered or lucrative was the Nigeria not doing well? Was the North not doing well economically? Even better than most regions including the one u say if feeding Nigeria 2day? When oil finishes or stops being in demand will that region no longer feed from Nigeria? So what is wrong with this selfish mentality of one region provides this and that like other regions weren’t once providing?

Also what exemplary leadership did Jonathan provide besides peaceful elections? Was obasanjo not better than Jonathan by far in performance? Was corruption not thesame or more. Let’s be reasonable pls.

The south is supposed to rule bt they should stop shouting must. There is no Must in the constitution that is why Gej could contest 2ce after completing yaradua’s tenureans the North could not stop him even though they did not like the idea.

This is the fact.
