Hello guys, For those that travelled to Canada recently, how did you change your naira to USD before travelling. I have tried the personal travelling allowance route but almost all the banks have return ticket as a requirement. I am going as a student hence I booked one way trip as I have no idea when I will be returning. Is anyone aware of any alternative asides Bureau de change/Aboki ? 3 Likes |

Hello, I'm trying to secure a phd position in environmental science in a Canadian university. I've reached out to dozens of professors but no positive response yet. If anyone knows any professors needing a phd student for research, kindly share. Or if anyone has another trick to go about this, please let me know. Thank you |

Alchemist01: Yes, you need return ticket to get pta from banks. The best alternative is using aboki or trusted someone to buy cad from over there. If you’re in lagos I can connect you. |

Frankrobbn1:Pls my brother wants to study Masters in Environmental Engr in Canada. He has an undergrad degree on Material Science (Engr field). He has a 2nd class Upper (2.1) and work experience of 5 years in NESREA (an environmental govt agency). I would like to inquire on the following; 1. Is it true that applicants must notify their undergraduate university to send their transcript on behalf of the applicant through WES (World Education Services) in order to apply for Masters in any Canada universities? If this is true, and although he already decided to inform his undergraduate university to send his academic transcript to the WES organization as well, how can he be able to contact an academic professor in a desired university for the aim of getting admission to embark on a Masters program ? 2. Pls which provinces or regions in Canada provides the best opportunities for Masters applicants seeking to study Environmental Engineering and at the same time be working ? 3. Which universities are the best option for my brother to apply for Masters in Engineering? 4. Pls which Canadian universities offer less expensive tuition fee or scholarships for Masters program in Environmental engineering? 5. What are the requirements or conditions that must be met to apply for both masters program and the student visa? 6. Pls is there any offer for post-study Work Permit in Canada? 7. My brother has a recommendation letter from his undergraduate university's academic affairs (not his own department). Is a recommendation letter(s) from undergraduate university a compulsory requirement? Must the recommendation letter be specifically from his department professor/lecturers or just academic affairs Head/Director ? Pls at what stage or point will this letter of recommendation be demanded for (if it is compulsory) - Is it required for applying for Masters admission or will it be demanded after admission is obtained? 8. Is it compulsory for my brother's SPONSOR (e.g Uncle/ Aunt) to be a Nigerian citizen with a Nigerian bank account? Also, is there any specific eligibility for sponsors (sponsorship letter) especially if the sponsor of the Graduate program works or lives abroad (eg. USA) 9. Pls what are the next step that my brother is expected to take once he gets admission to a Canada university? What level or extent of Proof of Funds or bank statement for instance will be required from his sponsor? 10. My brother is looking forward to obtaining a Permanent Residency permit in the future (even if it means proceeding to read a PhD in Engineering field), what further steps or process does he need to know to partake in ? 11. What is the total cost for applying for a study visa ? 12. Pls if you have any advise to say concerning his desire in seeking to study Masters in Canada, I am ready to understand and learn. 1 Like |

AdoChel:Of a truth, this eligibility stuff can be funny, I can remember during my application, "we will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility" is what I saw from the beginning of when they start processing my application till when they made a decision on it". It's safe to say underground work was going on , but wasn't updated on my application. I would suggest you await a response from the gurus pon this 4 Likes 1 Share |

Good day all, please I need an urgent help. I am applying for my children who are all minors. So, for the family representative information form, whose details should be there? Mine or the oldest of the children under whose the name the application is being done currently? Also, in answering the checklist questions, what should be my response to the attached question? Please my people, I would appreciate any urgent response. Thank you
