Through their official website, English Premier League club Crystal Palace have announced that they have completed the signing of Nigeria Football Federation target Michael Olise.

Olise is returning to a London club more than five years after he departed Chelsea, where he was on schoolboy terms prior to joining the Manchester City academy.

The current English Football League Young Player of the Season ended his association with Reading by inking a multi-year contract with the Eagles, until the end of the 2025-2026 campaign.

Following a banner season that saw him directly participate in 19 goals (7 goals, 12 assists) in 44 Championship games, the attacking midfielder was heavily courted by several Premier League clubs.

Speaking to Palace TV after the deal was confirmed, Olise said : "I had a conversation with the manager and he was talking about how he sees me in the team: the plans, the development and the vision for the club. It’s very good, so I thought it was a good fit.

"It’s a big moment: Premier League football. The Premier League is known to be the top league in the world, so it’s definitely going to be a lot tougher. But nothing that I’m not ready for".

Olise is Crystal Palace's first signing under new manager Patrick Vieira, and has been allocated the number 7 jersey for the 2021-2022 season.
Please who is Richard Olise who just signed for Chelsea academy

Think there is need for FIFA to make changes on PK during games. This idea of the taker kicking the ball the 2nd time when Gk makes a save should be stopped in place it can only be another player, These days GK are just rooted on one spot on the line until the kick is taken. Even when they make a save, the same player will just roll it in. This needs some adjustment if I may say.

My elder bro brought this up during the 2010 WC and it made sense to me ever since. Now you've brought it up here and i can't but agree its unfair to the GK who is already tied to his lucky of picking only one side and with all their zeal and breath in that.

With his teammates rooted to outside the box again, the pk taker has more chance to change his fate which isnt fair to the Gk. Of course there are few good gks that recover to deny such a rebound like Kane's yesternight, but since its still IN GAME, the rule should tilt to fairness. The PK shoot outs own is okay for now.

I seriously doubt he will get called up by France, its between Nigeria, Algeria and England. I don't know why the NFF keep stalling and delaying these player's switch to Nigeria.

Now I will talk. We need to watch out for the last all Africa games u20 team and the last u20 that did not qualify from Africa. They have given us adewale adewoye (the new Patrick viera) and Chinonso Emeka who are in Genk and now Samuel Nnoshiri. Their set is really coming up. They are a talented generation.

Yeah but he played in the allafrca games 2019.
Besides I hope you remember that the Cairo 91 allafrca games team gave us part of our golden generation like tijani babangida, Emmanuel ammunike etc

Its not really being for Nigeria or not. The player that took the penalty already have an advantage over other players. FIFA should try and remove that. Looking at it the other way, he is already offside.

PK during a game is meant as punishment. The attacking team should rightly have the advantage not the goalkeeper defending it
