No English test but if you have IELTS, you can access extra academic excellence scholarship but your CGPA will be considered too.

Pls I would like to inquire on the following;
1. Is it true that applicants must notify their undergraduate
university to send their transcript on behalf of the applicant
through WES (World Education Services) in order to apply
for Masters in any Canada universities?
If this is true, and although he already decided to inform his
undergraduate university to send his academic transcript to
the WES organization as well, how can he be able to contact
an academic professor in a desired university for the aim of
getting admission to embark on a Masters program ?
2. Pls which provinces or regions in Canada provides the
best opportunities
for Masters applicants seeking to study Environmental
Engineering and at the same time be working ?
3. Which universities are the best option for my brother to
apply for Masters in Engineering?
4. Pls which Canadian universities offer less expensive
tuition fee or
scholarships for Masters program in Environmental
engineering?
5. What are the requirements or conditions that must be met
to apply for both masters program and the student visa?
6. Pls is there any offer for post-study Work Permit in
Canada?
7. My brother has a recommendation letter from his
undergraduate university's academic affairs (not his own
department). Is a recommendation letter(s) from
undergraduate university a compulsory requirement? Must
the recommendation letter be specifically from his
department professor/lecturers or just academic affairs
Head/Director ? Pls at what stage or point will this letter of
recommendation be demanded for (if it is compulsory) - Is it
required for applying for Masters admission or will it be
demanded after admission is obtained?
8. Is it compulsory for my brother's SPONSOR (e.g Uncle/
Aunt) to be a Nigerian citizen with a Nigerian bank account?
Also, is there any specific eligibility for sponsors
(sponsorship letter) especially if the sponsor of the Graduate
program works or lives abroad (eg. USA)
9. Pls what are the next step that my brother is expected to
take once he gets admission to a Canada university? What
level or extent of Proof of Funds or bank statement for
instance will be required from his sponsor?
10. My brother is looking forward to obtaining a Permanent
Residency permit in the future (even if it means proceeding
to read a PhD in Engineering field), what further steps or
process does he
need to know to partake in ?
11. What is the total cost for applying for a study visa ?
12. Pls if you have any advise to say concerning his desire in
seeking to study Masters in Canada, I am ready to
understand and learn. 1 Like |

Good morning everyone. Please I want to apply for my undergraduate study permit and I need someone to put me through because it's my first time.
These are my questions: Do i have to complete the application once i start it or i can be save and continue later?
At what stage would i be asked to pay my Visa fee?
Do i fill the IMM forms online or I print them, fill and scan it back?
Do I type my LOE or I have to hand write it?
Finally, please the gurus in the house, i need ur advice on the issue of sponsor. I'm planning on using two sponsors, one main and the the second as a co sponsor. The main sponsor will be covering the tuition expenses, he has enough funds, but the only problem is, he can only confirm to the VO when they call that he's indeed sponsoring me but too busy to provide documents like landed properties, tax clearance and so on...
The co sponsor on the other the other hand will be taking care of living expenses and will provide affidavit of support, ID card and maybe one other document, please do u think this wld suffice, pls i need ur professional advice. Thank you and God bless! |

Please, when was your application refused? Actually, it's likely that the major problem here is the unexplained lump sum deposited to your account, of which you stated belongs to you. Usually, if there is an unexplained lump sum deposit, the application is bound for a refusal. 1 Like |

I did my medicals 2 days ago. DonI have to upload the slip or is that done when you feel you are being delayed? makano: There is no timeline as to when IRCC updates Medicals to pass, you can as well upload the slip given you in Qlife via a Webform.. You can keep doing this until you either get an acknowledgement from IRCC or your medicals updated to Pass.. https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 Thats the link to the Webform. You can also send and attach the slip via mail to the Visa office handling your application.. Peace 1 Like |

A very good morning to you all. It’s PPR!!
Wow! IRCC really toyed with my emotions o. In fact, I had decided my timeline would be very straightforward because of how they dragged the whole thing. It was just frustrating. But, to do that will be unfair.
Although I had submitted my application before I joined Nairaland, I must say that it’s been such a pleasure being on this platform. People are ever ready to help. Let’s all endeavor to continue with that spirit wherever we find ourselves. I really enjoyed reading good news (which went a long way in keeping my hopes alive) and I also said a little prayer in my heart for those who were refused. All will be well.
SO…snippets of information about my application:
I am going for my Masters of Law (LLM) at Western University (London, Ontario) to resume September 1. Please feel free to reach out if we would be neighbors! Lol
I was offered about 90% scholarship and I indicated my mum as sponsor to cover the remaining tuition fee and living expenses.
First time applicant.
To Note:
My permanent residency application which I submitted since December 2020 is still being processed. Dual intent comes in here!
General documents:
- Degree certificates/ transcripts. - Certificate of incorporation (ONLY) of father’s company and mother’s company. - Certificate of incorporation (ONLY) of mum’s foundation. - Mum’s Share certificates - CV - Int. Passport bio data pages for parents and siblings - Sworn affidavit of one and same person (my names are all over the place lol) - Police character certificate - IELTS result (L8,W,8,R8,S8.5) - Mum’s C of O for just one property (no valuation report, etc., ONLY CofO) - Proof of mum’s past and current employment - Letter of support from mum (sponsor) - Mum’s 1 year mybankstatement - Scholarship package from my faculty
Home ties:
1. Work ID card, Letter of introduction from current employer indicating my salary, benefits, etc., (and also stating that I will be granted a study leave once my study permit has been approved). 3. I also downloaded my appraisal notes where my supervisor made very nice comments about my work in the Firm and my good character ( The appraisal notes also stated that I was recommended for promotion). 4. I am also a trustee in my mum’s foundation (the certificate of incorporation shows my name as one of the trustees) 5. Fact that my parents and 2 younger siblings are in Nigeria. I am the first child of my parents.
Proof of Personal Assets:
- 3 months payslips and statement of salary account (the balance at the time was not too significant- I only highlighted salary inflow) - Statement of Retirement savings account and reference letter from Stanbic pension managers
Dual Intent:
I felt like I really needed to let them know that I would leave Canada (after my authorized stay) in the event that my PR application is refused so I added a bit more documents like:
- Character reference letter (from a former employer) who is also a notary public. - Affidavit of good conduct stating that I will abide by the relevant laws and would not stay in Canada beyond the authorized period. - I also stressed in my LOE, my frequent travels to the US and UK over the years so they know I will respectfully comply with their immigration laws and not overstay illegally.
Timeline:
- Application Submission: 30 March 2021 with NSE documents and upfront Medicals (which I used for my PR application)
- Review of Eligibility Start Date : 14 April 2021
(Caught more than 5 ghost updates )
- Medical Request : 10 June 2021
(Informed them via webform that I had previously submitted my medicals and it is still valid)
- Medical Passed : 14 June 2021
- BVL : 8 July 2021
- PPR: 9 July 2021
God bless us all and grant us our heart desires! Happy to answer any questions!

Cheers, guys!

Echogrey: A very good morning to you all. It’s PPR!!
First time applicant.

nifnifemi:
I can share the student recruiter details with you. chat me via the email connect on Naira Land.
It was a Phone conversation.
No English test but if you have IELTS, you can access extra academic excellence scholarship but your CGPA will be considered too.
I was only given $3000 which is tied to my academic performance after my 1st year.
