I just noticed this evening that my 3 years old daughter's vagina hole is totally closed like a healed wound after her caregiver told me in school today that she has been scratching the place lately and suggested I check her. How come I didn't notice at home and she never complained is astonishing

I didn't give birth to her with a closed vagina ooo I'm totally scattered as I type. I've never heard of such all my life. I'm taking her to the clinic but I need ideas pls. Has anyone heard of this before? How was it managed?

Ejoor nor Waka pass mamas I just need information on the name of such a condition and how it can be managed so I can confidently follow the doctors up make Dem nor go damage the place. My head is spinning

Your best bet is to quickly take her to the hospital. Cos I can't imagine if she will be able to pee.
I'm sure you must be tearing your head with worry which is expected. Your daughter will be fine and we will pray for her healing. Please keep us posted.

Thanks so much for responding. This means a lot to me at this time. Worry is already feasting on me. It looks like the urethra opening is closing up too but there's still a small opening she's peeing with.
Chai! it didn't just occur to me to buy her potty specially for her use. It's a standard creche and they have enough potty. It never occurred to me that infection is very possible for tender kids. If I had known

I can't say I have heard of that before, but I saw something in Facebook yesterday in the ask the gynaecologist group I think you should read up if it's related to this:

That's the link above. The condition is called imperforate hymen, though this seem to be from birth, with nothing the mother could have done differently.
