2.1 is the minimum admission requirement for Masters in Canada. 2.2 graduates going for Masters in Canada has a slim chance of admission.

With your 2.2 and your 5-years working experience, consider going for a program that that its Course outlines (curriculum) resonates with your work experience and duties.

That being said, check the overview, course outlines (curriculum), tuition amount for international students for the programs below, make a choice of the program that suites you, then apply for either the Winter 2022 intake or Spring 2022 Intake (depending on the Intakes available for each Programs)

Hello Nairalanders, I have 2 questions to ask!

Firstly , does it make sense or is it possible to apply for the Canadian study visa and USA study visa at the same time, I applied for the Canada study visa last year and I was rejected and I am reapplying again, but I think since I have the money to pull both through should I give it a go instead of putting all my eggs in one basket?

Secondly , since I won’t be paying for biometric again as I did my Canadian biometric last year, do I need the biometric slip of last year while applying now or it will be shown on IRCC portal when my passport number comes up , how will they know I have done my biometrics last year?

When are you resuming?

Have you sent a webform?

Most of these delays is simply because of oversight. Unfortunately, VOs are not the ones accessing the webforms but it's still the best bet.

1. I see no issue.
2. The biometric slip is going to be required only when your passport is requested.

Good evening, please can you reach me urgently I need your prompt guard on this means of payment, I am stuck. You can reach me on nikefasesin@yahoo.com . Thank you.
Queenmama03:
Actually the bank will pay in USD but deduct the naira equivalent from my account (please correct me if I'm wrong). I believe I've come accross persons who have paid with their naira account, I think the only problem with this method is that it takes longer but since I'm not in a hurry I wasn't bothered but its this deadline email that is making me confused.
I guess I'll just do another one and take to the bank on Monday.

Yes

Dual intent is allowed.

I had a visit visa running while I applied for study permit .

Pls @Lianna2020, having a temporary visa and later applying for another temporary visa is not dual intent.
Dual intent relates to temporary and permanent visas or vice versa, which is allowed as long as the applicant can convince the VO to approve the application.

Okay if you say so.

I applied for visit visa last year and it wasn’t approved and still running tho I’ve requested for withdrawal while study visa got approved this year .

I might be wrong because they are both temporary visa

Peace

A very good morning to you all. It’s PPR!!

Wow! IRCC really toyed with my emotions o. In fact, I had decided my timeline would be very straightforward because of how they dragged the whole thing. It was just frustrating. But, to do that will be unfair.

Although I had submitted my application before I joined Nairaland, I must say that it’s been such a pleasure being on this platform. People are ever ready to help. Let’s all endeavor to continue with that spirit wherever we find ourselves.
I really enjoyed reading good news (which went a long way in keeping my hopes alive) and I also said a little prayer in my heart for those who were refused. All will be well.

SO…snippets of information about my application:

I am going for my Masters of Law (LLM) at Western University (London, Ontario) to resume September 1.
Please feel free to reach out if we would be neighbors! Lol

I was offered about 90% scholarship and I indicated my mum as sponsor to cover the remaining tuition fee and living expenses.

First time applicant.

To Note:

My permanent residency application which I submitted since December 2020 is still being processed. Dual intent comes in here!

General documents:

- Degree certificates/ transcripts.
- Certificate of incorporation (ONLY) of father’s company and mother’s company.
- Certificate of incorporation (ONLY) of mum’s foundation.
- Mum’s Share certificates
- CV
- Int. Passport bio data pages for parents and siblings
- Sworn affidavit of one and same person (my names are all over the place lol)
- Police character certificate
- IELTS result (L8,W,8,R8,S8.5)
- Mum’s C of O for just one property (no valuation report, etc., ONLY CofO)
- Proof of mum’s past and current employment
- Letter of support from mum (sponsor)
- Mum’s 1 year mybankstatement
- Scholarship package from my faculty

Home ties:

1. Work ID card, Letter of introduction from current employer indicating my salary, benefits, etc., (and also stating that I will be granted a study leave once my study permit has been approved).
3. I also downloaded my appraisal notes where my supervisor made very nice comments about my work in the Firm and my good character ( The appraisal notes also stated that I was recommended for promotion).
4. I am also a trustee in my mum’s foundation (the certificate of incorporation shows my name as one of the trustees)
5. Fact that my parents and 2 younger siblings are in Nigeria. I am the first child of my parents.

Proof of Personal Assets:

- 3 months payslips and statement of salary account (the balance at the time was not too significant- I only highlighted salary inflow)
- Statement of Retirement savings account and reference letter from Stanbic pension managers

Dual Intent:

I felt like I really needed to let them know that I would leave Canada (after my authorized stay) in the event that my PR application is refused so I added a bit more documents like:

- Character reference letter (from a former employer) who is also a notary public.
- Affidavit of good conduct stating that I will abide by the relevant laws and would not stay in Canada beyond the authorized period.
- I also stressed in my LOE, my frequent travels to the US and UK over the years so they know I will respectfully comply with their immigration laws and not overstay illegally.

Timeline:

- Application Submission: 30 March 2021 with NSE documents and upfront Medicals (which I used for my PR application)

- Review of Eligibility Start Date : 14 April 2021

(Caught more than 5 ghost updates )

- Medical Request : 10 June 2021

(Informed them via webform that I had previously submitted my medicals and it is still valid)

- Medical Passed : 14 June 2021

- BVL : 8 July 2021

- PPR: 9 July 2021

God bless us all and grant us our heart desires! Happy to answer any questions!

Cheers, guys!

They have received it.. Most times they do not reply messages sent via webform.. So far you have sent a webform with your correct details to them, then be rest assured they have received it.. To confirm this, you can order your GCMS notes much later and you will see that the GCMS note will capture your message.... Although there is no harm in sending more messages to them if you feel to do so..... Peace

I have an admission to a college in Canada for Winter 2022. A year old daughter who is US citizen. Is it wise to add her to this application to be submitted this month? Please I need an urgent response. Thanks.

I am also looking forward for this answer as I also have a 2 years old son who is also a US citizen. I was advised not to include him because US citizens don’t need visa to enter Canada . I only stated in my SOP that I’ll be going with him.
