You think herdsmen issue is linked to Buhari Government?

Correlation is not causation.
We've seen Adesina coming out to Tell People to give up their ancestral lands for open Grazing

In 2014, they were named 4th deadliest terror group in the world. If you think Buhari leaving will change anything, you are on a long thing. Buhari is just a lightning rod for people pissed off with herdsmen.

As far back as 2002 I remember people from my hometown clashing with herders for eating people's farm produce and it even led to serious reprisals that the king had to wade in to stop the crisis, and OBJ was the president and late Prince Audu the governor. The issue predates this present administration and for people to start saying they're backed by the President is pure politicking.
Anywhere you find pastoralists and farmers living together without proper measures put in place by them on resources utilisation there's going to be trouble.
Most of the cattle herded by the pastoralists are owned by some powerful people who are indigenous. Out of 100 less than 5 is owned by the herder, the herder is like a salesman looking over the business of his boss.
Here are the factors driving the herders towards the south; desertification, urbanization, access to market, and insecurity. It is failure of the leaders across board in addressing some of the listed challenges and the mindset of some of the herders and host community that's causing the problem.
I have written on how a colony/ranch will solve some if not all of these problems between farmers and herders because the present system is not working for all.

Most of the things u wrote here are true, the only angle u failed to capture in this current crisis between Herdsmen and farmers is Herdsmen carrying Automatic weapons, plotting and carrying out deadly attacks against host communities and torching villages.

Herdsmen have always clashed with farmers right from OBJ's tenure but they've not been known to carry automatic weapons, neither have we seen miyetta Allah ( the umbrella body of herders) not condemning attacks orchestrated by herders but rather claiming the land belongs to us all.

You see during my NYSC prior to Buhari's emergence as preident elect I encountered Fulani Herdsmen in the north west and they don't carry more than a stick and sheathed cutlass while herding their cow.

How herders suddenly started bearing automatic weapons, burning down farms, annihilating a whole community because they are challenged by farm owners is something this present government needs to answer and find solution to. You should understand people who feel these Herdsmen are emboldened by their national patron being president of Nigeria is just people saying things the way they see it. If this is not investigated and a logical explanation given, trust me we haven't seen the end of this herders-farmers crisis.

So u see it doesn't necessarily has to do with politicking.

I agree with you that in the past that the herders don't move about with assault riffles but with sticks and machetes, the guns used recently are purchased by the owners of the cattle and handed over to the herders as cattle rustling became prevalent (another failure in leadership in providing the needed security). Unfortunately these weapons are now being used to perpetuate crimes like kidnapping and armed robbery by some of the herders which wasn't what the purchase was meant for.
As for miyetti Allah there are two of them one is very calm and calculative the other one are composed mainly of people who are not helping things with their utterances and this is the one that mostly gain media attention due to how sensational their statements are.

The guns is a fall out from Libya and opening of weapons trafficking routes from that side.

Same is happening all over Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad, Mauritania etc

If the bold is true, then maybe the government needs To do more by dealing with these set of people for incitement.....u see, if the government keeps allowing these set of people make reckless statements and then have DSS invite people who make similar statements from other parts of the country it shows nothing but a bias on the part of the government that can be interpreted as persecution of people from certain parts of the country.

The President's spokespersons ain't helping matters too. Juts like nezzar pointed out, imagine someone like Femi Adesina saying things like people should rather give up their lands for ranching than die as a result of herders-farmers crisis.....Does that sound like a logical way of addressing a crisis such as the herders-farmers crisis?

It's a thing for the guns being fallout from the Libya, then it's another thing for the government taking a stand that implies the Herders aren't in the wrong for attacking their host communities, but that they are gods that should be allowed to do as they please and appeased with offerings such as free lands to graze on.

That's just political storytelling as far as I am concerned.

What the Govt won't do is allow communities attack Fulani Herdsmen on the presumption of them being killers

Even the Buhari you are talking about, his hometown is overrun with bandits and his people being killed daily.

Italy rely so much on Jorginho, if England are going to win @EURO2020 then they need to keep him quiet.

One of the reason Italy are solid at the back is due to both his performance and his vocal presence.

but it's TRUE, femi adesina might be very bais but he says it as it is

Why can't southerners allow northerners to have ranches, so many governors were tribalistic on this issue, same people will say one Nigeria but a solution that integrates them and another tribe, they remember their tribal identities

If they are worried, it can be private sector owned ranches, each cattle owner will pay a fair amount monthly to the ranch, they will be fed at the ranch, at the end of the contract, he gets his fully grown cattle and decides what he wants to do with it

It will grow a different sector of the economy, prices of meat will drop and so many people will gain employment, why send a single guy to risk his life in the forest to feed your cattles when you can pay a company to handle everything for a cheaper price with peace of mind, those herdsmen can be redirected into another sector of the economy that can utilize their skillset, how many herdmens dey self? They aren't more than 2000 there will be no damage to those families in the north, everybody is getting a fair price and everybody sleeps at night

There will be competition among ranches, you will even create a haulage sector of that industry to transport cattles or feeds

Vast amount of lands will get inhabited, developments will grow in those hot spots and pour into the national economy

Do u know the attack on Igangan community in Oyo State has really not been addressed by the federal goverment?

I mean a community was attacked, people killed and even the palace of the traditional ruler was set ablaze and yet the federal government keeps mum. Then u wonder how people like Sunday Igboho gets to rally so many people including a professor to believe in his agitations. I really don't understand you. If anybody wants a ranch he can easily buy the vast amount of land he needs and have his ranch right on that land.

Why should anybody give up his land for an herder to site his ranch there? Why exactly? Care to explain?

You're just typing the figments of the imaginations in your head.

What Southern governors banned was Open grazing. They did not ban ranching.

If a group of herders decide to buy 10 hectares of land at Shimawa in Ogun state, nobody is stopping them.

Stop walking up and down with cattles. That's their point.

I don't understand what that has got to with giving up your land.

I don't know the full details of the government's plan but i'm talking based on the theme of the proposal

The governors could have renegotiated the proposal or even set up a think tank to analyze the maths behind a system like that and find positives, options plenty but each state used it to beat their chest in a tribalist manner

Now here's the problem ; you didn't get the full gist about Femi's proposal neither did u get the full gist about why the governors rejected it, but yet u are stanning it. If u must must know, Femi's proposal is a foolish one that isn't in line with modern dictates.

Femi is suggesting that governors make available lands within their states to be used by herders as ranches .....:the governors knowing they aren't obliged to provide such lands for privayr owned businesses turned the proposal down, they believe if farmers can buy lands and cultivate their crops why can't herders do same.

If u don't know, there are farm settlements in places like Epe, Imota and other areas in Lagos where people buy vast amount of lands to cultivate.( I know this because my boss in the office operates a farm in one of such places)

Now tell me what is tribalistic in telling people to run their private businesses in line with modern best practices?
