Since you don’t come to this world same day. You have to be patient
incx:
Good morning, I did biometrics on June 25th, yet to get pick up mail, also it still in DMC when I tracked my application. Most colleagues who has done earlier said theirs took 9 days, but today makes it 10 days for me and yet to receive mail.

Please what can I do, as I plan to move to the UK next week?.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by anelsta: 5:10pm On Jul 09, 2021

Visa alert !!!

Biometrics: June 22nd
Collection mail: July 8th
Passport pickup: July 9th
Duration: 2 years
VAC: Ikeja

I can remember when I was filling the form I came across a lot of obstacle like me spending more than 2 months of my disposable income, also in my previous application I claimed I dont know anybody in the UK but I filled my aunty's information on my passenger's locator form but was detected at the port of entry so in the renewal of my visa application form I had to fill her name and passport number as my relative in the UK but I won't be staying with her when I visit the UK.

Lo and behold my application only took 11 working days and 2 years visa was issued.

Did they ask you at the POE if you'd be staying with her ?

Good evening house.

I’m new here.
Please I’m in dire need of an advise on this.

My passport is being delayed and it’s about to ruin things for me.

I intend migrating to the UK by September this year via study route but then I’m yet to get my international passport. according to my agent, I can’t further my visa process without it.

Meanwhile,I’ve paid, did both biometric and documentation since May but still yet to get my passport.
Currently, I’m a bit skeptical about losing out in the next batch of admission by September, as I was told.

Pleas What is my fate?
Hopefully I’m going to get my passport before the end of this month
Can I still get admission by September?

Hello all, I'm new here and I can already see all the good work. Thank you in advance.

I'm presently applying for the standard visitor's visa and I have some challenges.

I have been denied UK visa twice, once as a child (I don't have the details of this application) and 5 years ago (a tier 4 visa for a short program). Both denials had to do with proving funds. Thankfully, I'm presently not worried about the financial aspect of my application because I have a very good job and I can afford the trip comfortably.

My challenge presently is that, I don't know my father's date of birth! He's estranged from the family and I can't contact him. In my previous applications, his details were included but I have no idea of the birth dates that were written (in these applications I was a dependant and I was helped with the application, so I'm unsure of these details). There's an option in the application to exclude the parent if you don't have their details, but my fear is, since his details were include in the previous applications, will it raise a suspicion?

Your advice will be deeply appreciated.

No, I didn't use my dad as my sponsor because of a lot of documentation that is involved( I like keeping my application simple and straightforward). I only increase my travelling expenses ( instead of 2 months i used 2 months plus but not up to 3 months)

I used the same document I use Initially for my 6months visa but just added some information on my application form like my aunty's information not document.

At #Sanmigbola. I want to say a big congratulations.
10years visa a amazing! I have received in the past 6months visa twice and I intend applying for 2 years visa in the next few minutes. My intention to going to 2 years is to save myself the stress of reapplying every year for 6 months visa.

My concern is what should I write in the cover letter as a good reason(s) for 2years visa? Kindly advice on a more convincing reasons.

Thank you for your kind response. I have been able to fund my Dollar virtual card but Uk visa application payment portal has not been going through. I kept on getting the attached screen shot

oritse123:

Hope the fund is reflecting on your naira card on the application? If yes. Create a $credit card on the app.

Click on the $credit card you will use, then click on fund after which you will type the amount of $ you need on your credit card.

You don't need to write any letter or explain why you need a 2 years visa. Just go ahead and make payment.
You can apply for 5 years if you have the finance.

Did you apply using the application or through TLS website ?
Using the former, its not functioning but the later is functioning effectively.

Why don't you contact UKVI.

Yes I am, just that my employer wants me to be in the UK 15th of this month.

Can I book for flight hoping it will be out this coming week? Because flight fee is already on the high side and I'm scared it might even be higher if I wait till next week to book

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by twojul: 2:19pm On Jul 10, 2021
Can i ask why your friend's brother who has been to the UK previously was denied? Thank you

Joyousgem:

My husband and I invited my cousin without travel history, about to start his final year in 2017 and his visa was granted in two weeks. I was called to confirm some details and my husband was called too. A friend tried the same thing for her brother who has UK travel history and he was denied. I agree with justwise 50/50 chance.

If you need help with the list of documents we submitted and format of letters, i have it somewhere in my email, reach out to me via email, I'll be glad to help.

Hi guys,

I just want to thank everyone that supported and advised me accordingly when we were applying for a partner dependant visa for my wife. She got her visa yesterday and will be joining me soon. Special thanks to giselle237 for your responses and guidance.

God bless you all.
