A Plate number is tagged to an individual. If u or someone commits a crime with your car, u will be nabbed, provided ur plate number was captured by witnesses or CCTV.
Now if u sell ur car and leave the plates for d buyer, whatever crime he commits with that car, off he wasn't caught on scene, u are at risk of being arrested and possibly jailed for what u know nothing about. So if u sell ur car to a stranger, pls remove the plates.

Also ur plates are still valid even after selling the car, u can use it to register a new car that u acquire
Haven't u noticed new cars carrying old plates numbers? That's cos instead of registering fresh plate number, if u have a plate number from a car u have sold, u can use it to register another car. Works pretty much like change of ownership, but in this case, they change the car details linked to the plate on the system.
Okay I will keep my plate when I sell this car then. Thanks for the enlightenment

Good afternoon all,

Please why do Bolt drivers ALWAYS reject card trips? They'll prefer you transfer. Why?

Many reasons.

Some bought the bolt account they are using and any card payment will go to the account of the original owner.

Others came to hustle for an urgent need that can't wait till the following week when bolt will pay.

To my own personal experience. Needed to buy fuel and only realised at the filling station I forgot my ATM at home. I asked to do a transfer and the attendant refused.

All my previous trips were transfers so I had no cash. When I got the next request, I had to ask if he was paying cash and luckily he was. If he had said it was a card trip, the speed with which I would have declined would have been faster than the speed of light.

Yea...Money lost can always be recovered, but time lost is gone forever.

One of these Sundays, I think it was Easter Sunday, I was already salivating at the thoughts of the money I planned to make. As I stepped into the vehicle to start the day's hustle battery had run flat and vehicle would not even crank.

I was like, devil is a liar.

I used my wife's battery to jump start mine and drove all through that day without turning off the vehicle. cheesy

woow madoo.. I didn't know one can do this oo. Na so one crazy rider give me 1 star stating I didn't arrive because I didn't carry she and her four friends mmssheew... Have learnt something
deedee44:

Speaking about reputation. Yesterday my rider dropped midway because of traffic and was jokingly telling me he was not supposed to pay full fare, after over an hour in traffic. I also jokingly replied him that if it was uber/bolt the fare would already be more than his full fare. Despite all our guy to guy gists, I woke up this morning to see a popped up message from indriver that a rider complained that I did not arrive, that I should desist from such behaviour.
I went to my ratings and saw 1 star, and this guy ticked all the cons available..
-Very rude driver
-He did not arrive
-different car
-different driver
-dangerous driving
-poor car condition
Haha all because of 500 that he wanted to deduct and I said no. That was my first 1star ever on indriver.
I went to support to narrate what happened, that how would he know i drove dangerously if I didn't arrive to pick him up, and told them to go through my ratings (lowest is 4 star) and reviews, then they would know it was a false accusation.
Less than 2 minutes indriver apologized and told me they know there are riders with bad intentions, they told me to go and check my app that they have deleted his rating and bad review.
I checked and it has been removed truly, if I have had series of 1 stars and bad reviews then they would have believed the guy.
indriver is bae. I wish bolt too can adjust

This guy did my inspection last week Thursday o, though he was complaining of not feeling well.

He was the one that made me know bolt has reduced inspection cost from 2k downward.

May his soul rest in peace.

This life is vanity, make sure you don't just balance your books of account for profits made daily but also what good you have impacted in another man's life.

Una wey dey do night driving , how do you do it? You must have heart of steel... Yesterday that I decided to stay late till around past 11pm... My last rider was a female who I picked from and hotel around GRA heading towards ogba (kara ole estate to be precise) she was high already when I picked her up and her voice wasn't even coming out well on call.. Her suppose bf was the one who gave me the address of the hotel...
After picking her up, she was just doing anyhow that I was afraid that what if she fainited or something happened to her in my car, what would I do? Before I know it again she brought out a bottle of drug which I suspect to be codeine and gulped it again... *For my mind #he don be for me tonight.... Even when she got to the estate she was no longer sure of her house number, we had to ask the security at the gate...Omo mhen as she drop like this.. See happinesses asay nothing happen to her inside my car....

Have anyone of you witnessed such? And What should one do in case a rider faints or pass out in one's car?

Please I want to know the rationale behind not selling car with plates, what will the owner use the plates for cuz I know he can't just hang it on his/her next car

He can use it on his next car, he will just have to pay like 8 to 10k and he will get it re register to the new car

Okay. I used to think that change of ownership document would cover whatever might happen after selling the car. We learn and unlearn everyday
change of ownership, police report plus court affidavit will cover in case you don't want to change plate

Proximity matters and knowing where ur riders are, but wit rating of 4.8 on 928 trips, my odds r always favorable. I would have been long beyond 928, if not for frequent cancellation, which I need to stop tho b4, deh yank me off. Obviously not d best app right now, but when d need is not available...

Wait! I don't get it!! 15k refund?!! Will this money be sent into your bank acct or to ur wallet?

Its more interesting than many movies listed on Billboards. I read the advices from the socalled talented Mahals.

Take this, The whole thing seems like little things. But Its a world of its own. Its a hash of individual data contributions and intelligences.

Awards Ceremony Needs to be Organised tor everyone to participate. Let's set a day aside to not argue, just to celebrate each other with the love that set the whole thread up.
Charity for data members. This is just like a "1972 Basketball set", "The Magic Joghson set"
Another "Michael Jordan set"

In year 2031, 2051..2091... Kids of the future by year 3021 will still read about the heavy topics and notable names and admire their contributions.

Just like young lads who rep Nigeria at USA '94
That set are legends Kanu Nwakwo, Mikil Obi, Amokashi, Babayaro, Ipeba West, Okocha etc.

Like Now We are Legends, Everyone participating in an iconic ceremony like this is a Star. Y'all bigger than you've ever seen yourselves.

We don't need to wear the white skin to know this is a good thing. Don't let the stress of our hustles blindfold our soul celebration. No matter what we need to celebrate. Let me hand it over to Emeritus Organizers Who knows Best. I'm voting ₦ 1,000,000 for my own support for the celebration. We chould take place at 4 Point Sheraton Hotel in Lekki.

If you have ideas, advices, contributions, you can add them.
All works and no ...celebration makes a Nursery Pupils End of the year Graduation Girl a dull one.

Tagging all members The Bosses are not excluded. The Organizers would unveil Chairman of the occasion, Specially Invited Personality, from Uber ceo to Cars45, Jiji, Minister for Transport, Fintec CEOs, (when time comes).

Please lets make this a memorable events.
Once in a lifetime things.

This is the largest Thread on Nairaland, other thread members can emulate.
If Activist can pick a day for nationwide protest to make every driver park and stay at home.
