1.Yeah, I know I should follow Serie A and even LaLiga more (and i do watch both leagues now and then. I would also like to follow Bundesliga...but that means spending money on a Startimes account...no thanks).

2.England needs to do better.It would be nice if they win (Southgate has really put in the work, plus the fruits of the recent successes in the Fifa youth grade championships will come through), but the fact is, they need to do better. Even their league is heavily dominated by foreigners. Talented english players also rarely go abroad...big problem! Meanwhile, La Liga and even Serie A are heavily home based. Serie A even in its glory days in the mid to late 80's was predominatly italian.

Italy have been poor... They have had a tough route and stared tournament well but they are very boring and often toothless... All the possession and no crosses, no one running behind defence and no shooting. Only Chiesa is good enough to get in England team

Like I said earlier, an early goal in a high profile match like this can do a lot to disorganize a team plus if you then face an oponent you think you know and they suddenly are playing a different shape or if you yourself lose shape.
Having said that, the Italians are trying to take over the midfield and the attackers have not managed a shot on target to even trouble Pickford abit .......and it's half time now
