Hmmmmm it's no longer surprising that this present adminstration have completely lost it. It's plain and very unexplainable stupidity on the part of these thieving leaders to budget a whopping 4billion plus just to track call and other stuffs they intend that the NIA should monitored. My question therefore is "is this what this country needs at this time? My answer is capital NO. 4.88billion will go a very long ways to upgrade one or two teaching hospitals in Nigeria if well managed but what do we have? A government who is hell-bent on making itself a "monitoring spirits" to it's citizens.

Just a question, are you a terrorist?. If you are not, then what is your problem?
They are acquiring suites of technologies to give holistic pictures of the crime and terrorism space. What is wrong with that?
Don't you know people who know people whose relatives have been kidnapped?

These acquisitions will at least give national security apparatus the capabilities to respond faster. It does not stop agitations and social activism. Just do everything in the open and don't take money and sponsorship from foreign agents. If you get donations locally, declare them.

These equipment will crack those too.

Wow. Then the best option is to reconfigure the motherhood of the hardware and change the frequency spectrum from standard IEEE code from native location country to another.

Nothing can crack it. Just that the talent is rare.

What did they do to the ones arrested by soldiers?

Yes sir, especially unpatriotic citizens and foreigners of security interest and national security threat.
We can't continue to have just few among us terrorising the nation with sedition, hate speech, scam , cyberbullying, defrauding, identity theft and kidnapping the rest of the law abiding, innocent and patriotic Nigerians and allow the security architecture to keep reacting instead of nipping them into the bud.

It is these few individuals and those they recruit into their nefarious activities that will particularly be of interest so the security services are always ahead of them even before they unleash .

It's not new and you know sir wink

Security threat?

Looool.

What did Buhari do to the Boko Haram terrorists the military arrested?

What makes you think they are after terrorists?

Really? What happened to naija SAT1 and 2? When was the last time you heard of Nigeria satellite which was built with billions of dollars and the Nigeria intelli9 agency was supposed to be working hand in with the govt agencies in charge of the Nigeria SAT. I still maintain my stand bros nothing will surely come out of this wasteful venture the government of the day has chosen to embarked on in order to continue enriching their deep pocket.

Well, it is not rocket science, but communication surveillance is one of if not the best tool available to the law enforcement when it comes to apprehending bandits, criminal elements, preventing and stopping banditry and attacks.

In the countries we copied democracy from, they have the most sophisticated electronic tools to prevent and stop criminal activities and to protect the citizenry.

America's NSA, FBI, and homeland security, in general, have tools at their disposal to monitor your calls, intercept and read emails and texts.

In the UK, they have surveillance cameras everywhere and in some countries, they have face detection cameras and software.

It is funny how many Nigerians cry and moan every day about a better and crime-free Nigeria, but they can not do or accept the tools and measures needed to make Nigeria great.

Some Nigerians go to foreign countries and subject themselves to the same tools and methods used to prevent criminal activities, but when it comes to their own country, they all of a sudden reject such methods, they quickly default to their usual Nigerian lawless and obstructive mentality.

Fact is, many of you talk so bad about Nigeria, but you can not lift a finger or support anything positive to make Nigeria a great country, you can not abide by the rules and laws that the people in advanced countries abide by every day to make their country great.

Many Nigerians are not ready to live in a more civilized society, they are not even willing to do and abide by the basic requirements because they are always trying to have it both ways.
