Based on your initial post I don't know of 384V 30KVA though, 192V is what I know of and Kartel, Eastman, luminous and genus and a few other brands have them in three phase. Also confirm with battery spec. And datasheet to confirm you can do high voltage connections with them as couple of known lithium batteries are more of parallel connections. SuleimanKano: |

[quote author=Saipro Woah! Your separate setup is lovely, but maybe be costly. May I know the name and the kva of your larger inverter and the size of the battery used? I guess your victon Phoenix uses 2x12vx200Ah. What is your total watt of the panels used for the two setup and are they wiring separately? I was actually looking at the cost of two inverter, two cc, cables and others. Enjoy your investment boss. |

Looking at this unsmiling weather in the south, I was thinking of splitting my intending setup. 1) 2x12vx230Ah battery bank, 1.5kva inverter with 40A mppt charge controller and 5x320w mono panels. 2) 2x12vx230Ah battery bank, 2kva inverter with 60A mppt charge controller and 5x320w mono panels. This may attract additional cost compare to single unit, but it may help my tubular batteries to always remain in float mode. It may also put my mind at rest even when I'm out of town as I intend to put 1 freezer and 1 freeze in system 2 while fans and lighting will go |

Fans, tv and lighting will go to system 2. Please, what are your opinions? |

ebocoms: Are you servicing a whole community.....that's a very big inverter. That capacity is humongous. For efficiency, why not consider 5kva/8kva 48v hybrid and parallel them |

Greetings o! Been a bit tied up due to work plus other commitments so I haven't been able to provide an update on my tests. Battery has been performing reasonably well so far without any scientific testing / measurements, although to give NEPA credit, they've been providing 20 - 24hours of power for a while. We have had only 2 days of continuous power failure where a HT cable was faulty. The battery provided power at night while solar was available to charge full during those 2 days. So I carried out a quick test with the following method / results. - I noticed that the voltage reading on the battery indicator differed slightly from what the inverter was showing so I decided not to follow the indicated voltage / percentage - Set the inverter to cut off at 21V - With the battery at 27.2V, I raised my consumption to a fairly steady 1200W (1000W hotplate and a couple of other appliances) - Shut down my grid and solar input - Started a stopwatch I had the whole setup running for about 3hours 43mins when the power tripped off suddenly. I checked and confirmed that it was indeed the battery BMS that cut off and not the inverter. Multimeter showed the battery still at an output of ~23V. - A quick calculation shows that i was able to pull ~4400Wh from the battery before it cut off at about 23V. Since this is short of the expected 5.2KWh and 21V low voltage cut off the manufacturer told me to expect, I put a call across to them for clarification. After explaining my settings of 27.2V Float and 28.2V Bulk charging to them, they called back and explained that I need to raise the float and bulk to 28.8V for at least 2 weeks to allow the balancer properly balance the cells/battery. They also explained that it was likely that a couple of the cells were at a lower voltage hence triggering the entire battery to shutdown before the expected 21V. I'll adjust the settings once I get back in later on this weekend, run for 2 weeks and carry out another test to confirm. oh yea, for those running smart home devices, backup the configurations regularly o!!!. The sudden power trip off while i was testing caused EVERY SINGLE SMART DEVICE in my place to lose their settings. EVERY SINGLE SMART DEVICE!!! E shock me o. babniyen: 3 Likes |

isangjohnson: You still on this matter. Just get 1 Hybrid inverter 48V 5.5KW with 100Amp 6KWp, you can get it as cheap as lower than 220K, though not readily available, you have to wait 2 weeks for it to be shipped and you get it in Naija around 2 weeks after that's 1 month wait.. 1 Like |

OkoroPeugeot: XT60 plugs - can support up to 40amps. Have a couple of these but I don't think the distance will be worth the shipping to you. There's also XT30 and XT90/Anderson connectors. |

Developing in Nigeria. This is a good thing. I just wonder why the Federal Government. I believe it should be more of private investment. The government has never really done anything right.

Decided to do a turn around in my system. Bought 4 no's of 12v 205AH Trojan batteries, for my 2kva inverter. Connection is 2 series, 2 parallel connection giving me 24v 420AH Trojan is quite expensive, buy I hope it last as advertised 2 Likes
