Wew....try to keep it within 50% DOD and should give you at least 5 years. I wish though that you invested that 900k in 300AH Lifepo4 it will have given you a guarantee better life span and deeper discharge with almost zero maintenance

That's bad. What is he a landlord for if he is unable to provide water for his tenants? He may be excused that of electricity but water, haba! So does it imply that the borehole was only sunk for his use and not for the whole compound?

The house has two tanks of similar sizes. One for him then the rest 7 tenants share the other.

Ok, if he is stringing them up for a 48v system and will be pulling considerable amount of current during usage, the bank will fall faster than 2v strings. From experience.

Amen! Thanks. Actually installed a dedicated water tank with faucet outlets to supply immediate neighbourhood (potable water is always a problem in the dry season). Only problem is I need to pump water just about daily to meet demand.

Thats beautiful. A more sustainable and robust system would have been a batteryless, automatic dc pump system. So it fills up whenever there is sunlight.... Would last longer i think without much supervision or battery maintenance concerns.

By 9am this morning, his Felicity 48v/60A Mppt CC reading was:
Battery voltage 50.4v
Charging amp 6.3
Input 91
Wattage 321

Inverter type is Nexus 48v/3.5kva.
Battery bank is 4x12vx200Ah.
Pv total watt is 2,520.

Day load:
Freezer 150w x 5hrs = 750wh.
Tv 70w x 8hrs = 560wh.
Decoder 45w x 8hrs = 360wh
2Fans 90w x 5hrs = 450wh

Night load:
Lighting 5x5w 25 x 10hr = 275wh
2 Fans 90w x 10hrs = 900wh
Tv/decoder 115w x 5hrs = 575wh

He wants to know.
Is it advice able to allow his system get to absorb stage or float stage before loading his appliances?

Looking at his day and night consumption above, is there any need for adjustment just to allow the system to be fully charged on time?

Looking at the figures on his cc, time and the weather, is everything in order?
His location is Ph and the the weather is still cloudy.

If battery voltage is 50.4v as shown in the cc, what should be his minimum discharge voltage?

Who has Nexus and Felicity cc should please tell us how to go about the setting and others relevance information.

How much is Lifspo4?

We presently get at the minimum 12 hours power supply in a 24 hours day and with the inverter sending 20A per hour, that's 240AH. So if the sun shines between 8:00am till 3:00pm, I should have my 400Ah complete. Hence, I'm hoping not to get to 50% discharge state of battery

Very true.I thought of that too but he might need to change his inverter if he decides to go Lifepo4 because that Prag I am seeing does not have editable battery voltage charge settings.

There are people selling 280Ah to 300ah locally between 75 and 85k per cell. You need 8 cells, a BMS and connection accessories. So under 850k will get you a 280Ah or 300ah bank. If you decide to import directly you may save another 100k to 200k depending on wait time (2 weeks to 4 months)

I was already into it, otherwise would have pulled out and gone for cheaper batteries of between ₦120-₦150,000 for 200AH.

Trojan is USA, while some others are Indian/Chinese batteries

I've seen it fail under two years. Bad charging. Make sure yours are charged with the specified voltage and current.

Seeing those batteries make me feel he needs BMS, lol.

He will even save money on (8 peices)280AH cells of Lifepo4, and can discharge 200AH without thinking about it..

Anyways no be everyone have time for DIY projects.
