I started taking the prednisone on the same day I started my medications and I'll be on it until about 10weeks of pregnancy. I take 10mg daily with 1 low dose Aspirin.
Thank you for your response and congratulations to you. Did you buy it without doctors prescription. I just saw it is a prescription drug

My clinic added it to my protocol. So the fertility clinic actually prescribed it.

Thank you for sharing, it came in handy, please what tips can you share after the transfer, the dos and don'ts. Thank you.

-Warm feet very important. It was extremely warm here but I wore socks until my bfp.
-I also divided a pineapple core ( the hard middle part of a pineapple) into 5 parts and ate one each day from the day before my transfer.
No bed rest. Be a little active but don't over work urself. Being active increases blood flow to the uterus.

I also ate a pomegranate on the day of transfer and the day after.

Laugh alot. Watch comedy shows or be around people who make u happy. No stress needed at this time of ur life.

I don't know if the above points helped but it gave me peace of mind that I was actually doing something and it was a success so why not?

All the best my dear.

I had a similar situation and still do(worst now bc both of my ovaries have multiple cyst and are behind my uterus). One of my ovaries was hiding behind my uterus during my IVF cycle and the Dr told me there was going to be a challenge(if at all it was going to be possible) getting eggs from the particular ovary. However, on the day of my retrieval, a nurse pressed very hard on my tummy(it hurt a little) and with the guidance of an ultrasound they were able to get a couple of eggs from the hidden ovary.
So if the uterus doesn't give way once the ovaries are stimulated, in my case pressing on my tummy helped in moving the ovary a little forward for egg retrieval. Ur Dr could try this and hopefully it works out well for u.
Good luck my dear
Thank you so much. I would be emailing you pls if you dont mind.

Thanks sis!

It was a FET so less demanding than a fresh Transfer. Fewer injections(progesterone only every 3rd day) and meds.

During my TWW DH was on leave and incharge of the baby so I didn't have to worry about chasing her around. U know how busy they are at this stage. On a normal day she's a daddies girl and I'm only an option to her when daddy is absent so she was fine with daddy viaout my 2ww.

Just joining,I had a failed ivf transfer recently but also noticed I got Urinary tract Infection with blood stains and pain while urinating immediately after Embryo Transfer. Please do you think I contacted it during the process and it affected the cycle.thanks
Then when can I have another cycle after because my clinic said 3 months later even though I have 3 frozen Embryos they are saying a fresh cycle will be better.please your opinions are needed

Best practice is to give you Doxycycline antibiotics at some point during the process was this done? It’s to prevent issue such as cross contamination. If not consider it for your next cycle. The only positive i ever had that’s what was done different.

To have another cycle you are advised to wait for 1/2 menstrual cycles just so your body gets rid of all that medication plus gets some rest.
Hope this helps.

Ask them the for your records and to show you the grades of your embryos plus how it has divided so far(ie number of cells) that determines if it can be used or not as some don’t survive the thawing process.

Do your research and just don’t take their words for it as fresh is more expensive and lots more medication.Be kind to yourself and i hope a positive happens for you soon.x.

No I wasn't given I was only given panadol after retrieval and cyclogest after transfer.
Theses are My Embryos Qualities
All day 5 blastocyst
1 BB,1BC,1CB,2CC,1D
1BB AND 1BC was transferred and it failed then 1CB AND 2CC were frozen but they say it takes 3months before considering anything.thanks

Did you take an antibiotic before your transfer? It's supposed to be part of the process to prevent infections like this. Make sure u are prescribed and antibiotic in ur next cycle. I took an antibiotic for 5days prior to my transfer.

Also ur clinic just wants to drain u of ur money. Frozen cycle is as good as a fresh and may be even better. I am a 2time successful FET candidate and u can proceed with ur frozen embryo transfer as soon as u are cleared of the infection. U don't have to wait 3 months.

They would not have been frozen if they were not good enough. I had a baby from a day 6blastocyst frozen embryo transfer. That is the embryo became a blastocyst on the 6th day and not the 5th day and was frozen and it's transfer was successful.

Use up ur frozen Embryos and God will definitely bless u. Don't dive into a fresh when u have Embryos waiting for u.

Having good quality frozen embryos is not the issue but the process of thawing when they are brought out as some fragment and do not survive the process.Everyone’s story is slightly different if her Doctor knows something it should be discussed at length first.

U are very right, all our stories are unique.
However, I responded based on what the op wrote. They have not gotten to the point of thawing and the embryos fail to survive. The clinic just wants her to dive into a fresh cycle which makes absolutely no sense since she has frozen embryos. I'll personally be skeptical about the clinic.

U however made a valid assumption about the Dr's knowing more. So u are right, if the Dr knows more as to why they should abandon the frozen and move on to a fresh cycle, then let him explain clearly to the lady and not give the vague point of fresh is better than frozen.

All in all I hope and pray the op is able to get a successful cycle be it fresh or frozen.

We on the same page.Fresh is just as good as frozen in most cases.
I don’t know if it has gotten to Nigeria yet but from the time lapse machine they can tell from how the cells are replicating if it can undergo the vigorous nitrate process.Drs back home in Nigeria have a Godlike complex and do not reveal all the information for the patient to make an informed decision sadly. She needs to demand her right and look at all the paperwork. This Journey takes so much out of us all without facilities mucking you about.
I join in your resounding Amen to a successful cycle be it fresh or frozen.

Someone should tell me I am not dreaming, it's a BFP!!!
How I longed for a day like this, God I'm so grateful, thank you for taking away my reproach of 4 years. Thank you Jesus.

Thanks to everyone that shared their journey here, @ Henmaris, thank you so much, I started taking the Prednisone as you suggested here even without my doctor's permission, this was my first ever IVF, I had day5 blastocysts transferred last week, so I just checked now only to see two lines, @mommdav may God bless your kind heart, you encouraged me to go for a hysterescopy before going for the IVF and I did that.

This new month shall bring more testimonies to this family. Thank you all, you have all been amazing.

sorry to hear this. Well their services generally is okay for me, it might not be too sophisticated but the new gynae there knows what he is doing, no crowd cos it's not a promo stuff, as for the cost it all depends on your own protocol and diagnosis, expect between 1.5-1.8 for a cycle.

So my cycle was cancelled and my embryos frozen till my next 2 periods as my progesterone level was high and would affect implantation. Since like 3days after the retrieval I have been having severe abdominal pains that have been off and on. Has anyone else had this experience where they had to freeze? And the abdominal pains? Pls share. Thanks

The abdominal pain if it feels like period cramps is quiet normal. The medications have put your body through a lot.Drink a lot of water and take short walks you should feel some relief in a few days.
It can be Ohss as well if your pain is severe. Are you swollen in your abdomen or any vomiting at all?.
