edi287:I'm tired of correcting that BS. Having issues with the government doesn't mean everything related to Nigeria should stop else you support the government. That's very silly thinking. I don't know why Nigerians like to victim cry about fulanization, jihad and some other trash they can't prove. 1 Like |

edi287: That is what the man is educating us on. They are a symbol of the State of Nigeria. If the Government is evil, playing shows they are endorsing it. I never thought of it that way but from reflecting on it, if they succeed, Buhari gets to receive and host them. He gets to smile and gives us a speech of how their success is a reflection of his Government..... It will have nothing to do with us. |

TheGoodJoe:Start with yourself. Since playing for Nigeria is equivalent to endorsing the government, throw away your passport. don't do anything that relates to or has Nigeria as part of its name or identity. Nothing at all. If your certificate is from a government school, return it, or dropout if you still school there. A terrorist government can't be responsible for your training. don't do any job at all. If you're planning to do youth service or something like that, do not do it. Leave your life alone and have nothing to do with Nigeria. Then you'll be taken seriously. 8 Likes |

Annoying arguments! Useless!!! A mentally deranged man went to assault players and some people have the nerve to support him?... I would have expected him to come and meet buhari and tell him those exact words... Staying abroad and shouting corruption is their new anthem, this same "abroad" people, many of whom are destroying the image of Nigeria, easily act as though they are perfect, woke, home based Nigerians are bad. Athough, not everyone comments regularly here, a lot of such people are committed to this thread ; this trend is seriously annoying. Please, take your politics elsewhere! 6 Likes |

JohnBullMySon: While we are at it, we might as well have our sportsmen pull out of the olympics, world cup qualifiers, afcon et al Kanu, Amokachi, Finidi, JayJay, Keshi etc should probably be castigated for supporting Millitary dictatorship and extra judicial killings by representing Nigeria at Atlanta 96 and USA 94 during the Abacha Era! Heck, we should probably expunge all records of Nigeria's participation in all sporting competitions between AFCON 84 and Nigeria '99 as our performances did nothing but celebrate bad governance/Millitary dictatorship 1 Like |

I guess Nigeria had a non evil government a couple months ago. There is no athlete that puts on the green white and green and thinks "let me give it all for my government". It amazes me that some people on this platform saw nothing wrong with the manner our Super Falcons was molested today by that lunatic. The Austrian police is looking for him, after he is deported he can march to Aso Rock to slap Buhari. This is the type of behaviour that makes these countries deny you people visa. 1 Like

It is quite important to understand the situation of things before pointing fingers at an organisation. The girls were going on an excursion, that was why they transported in a train. However, they had a cartage to themselves. If they charter the whole train you people will still complain. If it is easy you guys should contest for Nff/Nigeria's president. Let see want you can do rather than complaining everytime. 6 Likes

However, this did not make her back out of the USWNT. She still captained them to go all the way and win the World Cup. charlesemeka85: Nigerian football will be in total darkness without football academies. In fact, most of the best players in the Nigerian league are a product of football academies. Samuel Nnoshiri (who according to report just moved to Real Oviedo in Spain) is a product of football academies. Without football academies we will be running after foreign borns and begging them anyhow. In fact, our national team will be so bad that we will not achieve anything. |

jihday: YOu are right. Hitler was once president of Germany and his rascist ideology was used as an instrumentality of government. As popular as he was, he was not germany. The federal republic of Germany lived on after him. Germans are not Hitlerites and after his demise, his ideology was done with and Germany redefined herself as a nation. Nigeria has existed and will exist after Buhari and his activities cannot be used to define Nigeria. As a sports man, you are representing the nation of Nigeria and in 100 years time if you win an Olympic Gold, you will have won it for your Country and not your president (buhari or whosoever). The nation of Nigeria belongs to the people of Nigeria and its citizens no matter how much our leaders like to bully us and mismanage the country. However, with the way things are going Nigeria may not last more than 15 to 25 years. I forsee a massive civil war, insurgency or uprising which the Governmet wil not be able to contain and which will lead to 2 things. 1 Either we have a regional Government where peace and justice reigns 2 We break up and disintegrate as a nation. Our leaders cannot see beyong 2023. Even if they succeed in 2023 by 2035 Nigeria may be facing disintegration and civil war and they will not even have a country to rule over. Nigerian leaders are ignorant, short sighted and myopic and lack the vision for long term planning. They are just brianless. They believe eronousely that because they are in power, they can get away with anything but they lack the wisdom to know that very soon, they will not even have a country to rule and they might lead Nigeria on the road to Mogadishu and Somalia. If care is not taken Nigeria may produce a Charles Taylor who will cause a 5 year civil war that will lead to disintegration. Nigerian leaders are underrating the capacity of the masses and the certain section of the country to protest and fight for their rights. Our leaders will be shocked by the strange turn of events 1 Like |

I pray for you to find peace. So much hate in your heart. The resources you are talking about na you put am there. The resources belong to God therefore the resources belong to humanity (everyone). You can nag from now till eternity Nigeria will stand. The only people that will pay the ultimate prize are those praying for its downfall either from the North or the South! Nobody will fight any civil war for one imaginary country. That time has passed. You challenge the sovereignty of a nation you collect. Simple as ABC. codemaniacs: |

edi287: I tell , Tinubu kept pondering how would Buhari amount votes in about 12 core northern states in 2011 without coming down south when it was suggested to him to look for a young northern to groom for presidency come 2015 he refused he saw buhari as one that has grass root supports in the north and with little southern support from at least a geopolitical zone he can emerge president... that was how the merger between CPC and ACN emerge and there was mild agreement to hand over power to south after the 8 years...he wanted be the V.P but notably persons in the party and outside like OBJ told them it won't work that way and that was how he nominated Osibanjo, buhari wasn't disposed to it citing he once contested wit a pastor in the past and nothing came out from it but in a bid not to offend the agreement he went with the plan. Tinubu greed for power caused all this and now he is hoping to become president something i know can never happen if he truly have the interest of the south west, nigeria at heart he will encourage osibanjo instead The likes of amaechi supported Buhari and sponsored the election in no small way because he has personal issues with Jonathan's family and was scared that he might go to jail should Jonathan win re-election Obasanjo stop supporting Jonathan because Jonathan reinstated those crooks in PDP he demoted and now placed them as his right hand men...folks like Anenih and co Obj start to write letters upon letters accusing Jonathan of things he wasnt involved in, He stopped meeting obasanjo and that was Jonathan's problem and foolishness because God used ObJ to make him who he is I understand obj wanted a serious drastic and brutal action against boko haram which Jonathan wasn't disposed wit and thats where it all started from and the thieves in and around his government only care about their belly And many gullible oldies in Nigeria who saw and witnessed buhari rule in the 80s they saw and experience the hardship but still out of sentiments rooted for him and encouraged their kids to vote him...some pastors self don't wanna mention names it was so embarrassing me not born then i know and i have researched on him Anyway it is well, hope we survive this 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe:The Goodjoe I'm really surprised you are defending that man's unruly behavior against the ladies. The SF are reppin NIGERIA. Not buhari not APC not Atiku not PDP. These ladies have not made any political statement in any way shape or form supporting this govt so was the cowardly action of targeting them. Does the man know whether some of the girls even voted against PMB in the last election? No what is wrong is wrong. Tons of our footballers especially the male ones take pictures with this same bad politicians but I don't see anyone going to harass them but when it's the women who are minding their business and playing football for the nation everyone suddenly remembers things in the country are bad please! Buhari will be gone in the next two years so until he goes let's stop Nigeria from participating in international competitions like world cups and Olympic tournaments. Maybe that will stop terrorism, provide electricity and end kidnapping not voting right leaders, holding elected(selected?) officials to account and doing your own Little bit to improve the country. if Nigerian sportsmen and women were not harassed during the horrible days of the Abacha dictatorship then nobody should justify innocent players getting disturbed by people who don't know where to Channel their grievances. This is why they say politics and sports should never mix. |

fabyom: Bro...you live in the USA With the way this man is ruling, come 2023 Nigerians go to elect someone like him again this country may not survive in all honesty The hardship, injustice and impunity is getting too much I remember how saro wiwa and co seeked for just means for the government to compensate and clean ogoni land but instead abacha crucified them and few years after militancy erupts even though Obj try quench them at Odi but none, I repeat not a single militants was killed and that birth the era of the niger delta warlords like tomopolo, asari, ateke tom,Okah etc they brought the nigeria economy on it's knees that the government had to negotiate for peace Nigeria is a fragile state a very fragile state that breeds warlords and warmongers because its laws and statutes are objects of scorn and derision Any little unrest can unsettle the state, the way the government handles the current agitators like NK and Sunday will go a long way in securing Nigeria survival the root cause for thia secessionist quest should be addressed because killing this men may lead to more violent struggles in the future and trust me nigeria may not survive it |
