Jasmine fixed her gaze on the bag Erica was holding as Erica walk close to her...., she'll literally be mad if Erica didn't get her the banana milk shake she promised...., she extended her hand towards the bag eagerly waiting for her to hand it over....

"I almost forgot it."Erica said handling the bag to her...

Jasmine mouth puckered, then she let out an all together different kind of sigh - softer, quieter. "You're a life-saver and a darling."

Erica just smile and walk towards the room to drop the few things she had gotten for herself....

"What about Derek...., has he answered your calls yet..."Jasmine ask the moment Erica walk back into the parlour.......

Erica sighed and sat down to face Jasmine..., when Derek left her house, she wasn't feeling well.., she felt something was bothering him, something he didn't want to share with her...

"No..."Erica said picking up her phone with intentions of redialling his number....

"You know I'm still of the opinion that he actually came here to have sex with you but his plans changed the moment he laid eyes on me..."

"Are you still on that.."

"Yes..."Jasmine replied before taking a spoonful of the banana milk shake to her mouth...

"Derek understands our boundary.., I made it so clear to him that I can't have sex with him.., if he's still stuck on actually having sex with me..., that is his business"

Shock rusted her insides when she saw a youth pastor and another of her church member on her door post......

"Pastor Wilson.."Erica mutter totally surprised.....

Irritation surged up inside Nerissa as she look at him...."You think you can kill me with that thing....."She said lowering her gaze to the wand he's holding...

Zuba smirked and in a blink of an eye, he strike her with the wand....

Nerissa yanked back as unexpected electrical currents surges all through her body...., she absorbed the pain and quickly stood her ground to glare at him...

"Am a man of few words...."Zuba said as he readjust his hand and set the wand straight.....

Nerissa’s eyes bored into him as anger beat on her hot and unstoppable in her gut..., without hesitation and in a swift second she rushed at him and lunged for Zuba's wand, but Zuba rolled his hands down and away with a minor deflection.., he popped Nerissa's jaw like a rat trap making Nerissa flicked backwards....., just then he faced her with the wand again, mutter some words before he strucked her once more.....

Pain erupted with ravishing measures inside Nerissa's body as electrical volts began to spark inside her...

Nerissa  took a deep breath, her ribcage was hurt, she exhaled, inhaled again as black blood pooped from her bruised skin....

A taunting smile turn up the corners of Zuba's cheek as he saw the blood..."I told you, you made a grave mistake coming here but I'm willing to give you a chance to repent, release your hold on Derek and go back to your world...."

Nerissa scoffs as she came back into focus gain, she inhaled some more and felt a little steadier before she rose up to her feet once more....."You're forgetting something., no matter how powerful you may be, you're still a mortal man and mortal men....they always die..."

"Let the boy go.."Zuba groaned pointing the wand at her with dark intentions of striking her where it will hurt her most....

Nerissa expected his third strike, anticipated it and when he eventually did it.., she focus her eyes on the incoming terror ready to shred her skin apart again..., in a swift second, she turn away her body allowing the great power the wand commanded to tore through the line of front windows like a stray of bullets, striking a side wall..., windows shattered spewing glass shards everywhere....

Nerissa didn't give Zuba a chance to recover from the powerful effect of the enormous power he commanded from the wand before she rushed towards him..., before Zuba could retaliate, she hit the wand from his hand.., the wand fell and clattered loudly on the ground...., she let out a loud growl of annoyance before she slapped her right palm down on his face, Zuba's nose shattered before stars burst in his vision...., blurred sighted he took few steps away from her.....

"Powerless without your little stick..."Nerissa said walking towards him...

Zuba blink more times than he could count..., then he regained himself and look up at her with equal measures of fury and terror...., his eyes slightly moved from her to his wand on the floor, he calculated and weigh the pros and cons of his plan.....

"You have no idea what I'm capable of..."Zuba said as fury swelled inside him....

"I have seen what you're capable of and surely I'm not impressed....."

Zuba chuckle and took a step back......"I've wrestle with demons in higher ranks than you are and I've always won....., this is why I was named Adadowao..., the demon slayer...."

"I see you're eager to die...."Said Nerissa

"Let the boy go..., he's human and you're a demon..., you have nothing in common, you been with him will only destroy his life...."

"I'm saving him..."She hollered...."His life is already destroyed, I'm just moulding it back..., you call yourself a powerful man, how come you've not connected the dots..., his past is racing fast towards his presence...., chaos is in his future....., without me, he's nothing"

"You know the consequences when your clan sleeps with a human...., you claim you love him yet you're willing to see him suffer this horrible fate...."

"I can reverse the curse...."She said

"Then reverse it and let him go..."

"He's my husband...."She growled

Zuba saw an opportunity when she turned away her face ...., he tap into it and quickly rushed towards her and pushed her...., before she could stand up to face him, he reach for his wand once more...., when she darted her furious gaze towards him...., he strucked her with the wand...

A great force released from the wand took Nerissa off her feet, it sent her backwards and she landed with a thud on the ground..., she screamed as powerful electrical currents jolt through her body...., black blood pooped into her hand as she tried to cover the cut in her skin.....

"Reverse the curse and I may let you go..."Zuba said heading towards her....

Pain seared across her face.., she breathe heavily as she try hard to recover herself.....

"Reverse the curse or ceased to exist...."Zuba said facing her with the wand again...

"You cannot reverse the curse without me..."Nerissa groaned in pains...

Zuba scoffs then he wave the wand..., the pearl necklace on Nerissa's neck quickly loosened...., one more wave of the wand and the necklace was in Zuba's hand......

"I don't need you...."Zuba said heartily as he prepared to give her a final strike of the wand to mark a terrific end to her life.....

Nerissa's growled with annoyance..., suddenly her eyes deepened, her skin bubbled and her bones began to transform......

Zuba took a pause and took a step back, she was transforming, transforming into her true form........

Nerissa's skin began to peel away like a banana and got replaced with a large, hairy, dangerously clawed hands of a beast......, her body parts pop out as a slimy, fish saliva-like substance oozes out along with black blood from her snapping joints...., The yellow glowing orbs of a predator radiate from her eye sockets as her eyelids changes colour, and her pupils dilate like a shark, her eyes once beautiful were now stripped of all humanity and replaced with the eyes of a hunter and dangerous instincts of the worst sea monster......, her leg bones begin to snap, lengthen, and a tail pop through her skin and back into place....

As the transformation process nears its completion, her face pushed forward and split away as a snout forms and her jaw dislodges to make room for a massive deadly rattle.....

Overwhelmed...., Zuba's eyes grew wide as he saw the full length of a mermaid......

"So this is your true form....?"Zuba asked...."It's rumored that mermaids are beautiful but seeing one now makes me doubt that..., you're indeed a monster and such should be killed........"

Raw anger wreaked havoc on Nerissa and quickly she jumped on Zuba as he set the wand to strike her again......

They both fell over the chair and the wand slipped from Zuba's hand but Zuba manage to reach it again but his joy was shortlived when Nerissa took it from him and broke it into two halves.....

Fear licked at the bottom of Zuba's stomach as he turn his gaze from the broken wand to see a monstrous mermaid glaring at him..........

"How are you surviving on land..?"Zuba asked...

Nerissa growled before she dig her sharp teeth into Zuba's neck..., Zuba cried out in pain before she took off her teeth out from him carrying a pound of flesh and blood.....

Blood gushed out with earnest force from Zuba's neck, his eyes blurred as his heart began to beat slowly...., and just when he thought it was over.., he felt her powerful claws torn his shirt and with a full force, it dig into his chest...., his heart stopped beating before Nerissa ripped it out from his chest......

Zuba's ghost gave way and travelled into the world beyond .....

Barely satisfied, Nerissa growled loudly...., the house walls cracked..., glasses fell and break before she vanished.. her pearls disappearing with her leaving a hole in Zuba's lifeless body .....

Heart racing, Derek stopped the car., he wasted no time in running towards Zuba's house...., he knocked impatiently, when no answer came, he screamed Zuba's name...

He stood at the door for what felt like an hour but was just only few minutes.., when he was tired of waiting, he wanted to take his phone out to call Mrs Ibrahim to tell her Zuba isn't answering his calls and isn't at home either..., he noticed the broken window.., he moved towards it and peeped inside.., his heart leaped.., shocked he pushed the house door open and rushed towards Zuba's body..., the sight jolted him backwards and the necklace he held on to slip from his hand..., hands shaking he dialled Mrs Ibrahim's number...

Mrs Ibrahim return her gaze to the mirror as the hairdresser comb her hair..., when her phone rang, she pick it up, it was Derek calling, just the person she's been wanting to reach since Zuba wasn't answering..

"Is it done..?"She ask the moment the call connected signaling the hairdresser to excuse her...

Sobs came before Derek's unstable voice came...."He's dead..., he's dead.."

"Who's dead.....?"Mrs Ibrahim blare out getting up from the chair...., she turn around and noticed the hairdressers were looking at her.., she quickly grabbed her bag and began to walk outside, when a hairdressers attempted to follow her, she signalled her to stop before she stepped outside..

"Zuba.."Derek's unsettled voice came again.. "He's dead..., his..his..

"Derek you need to stay put..., I'm driving down, if you see anything suspicious, get out of there.."She said before getting into her car......

She closed the car door and started the car, when she look at the side mirror, she noticed something, someone was sitting at the backseat of the car..., fear ripped through every fibre of her skin and quickly she turn her neck and quickly realise it wasn't her imagination, she was there, the girl who had warned her to stay away from Derek..., the girl they've been trying to kill.....

Her heart pounded in her chest and without signal from her brain, she attempted to open the car door but quickly realise how futile it was when the car door refused to open......, knowing who she is, she had no option but to scream....

All of a sudden, the car started without her touching it..., it accelerated, the tyres reversed, then it released and move speedily into the saloon climbing down the saloon glass door and hitting everyone in it's part...., it stopped when it hit the wall, then the car front and side rear screen broke and shards of it pierced into every part of Mrs Ibrahim's body...., blood flow with ease from her body..., before everyone in the saloon could recover from the horrific accident, Mrs Ibrahim bled out and gave up the ghost........
