But if you wanna be on a safe side, just close eye buy 16" straight up, e get why......
The 15" tires are more expensive...
I usually buy 205/60/16 for 3k, but e get where I dey buy am for that price oo, but 4k on the average, but 215/65/15 would be around 7k to 9k, depending on the grade... that's why the 16" itself is more expensive....
Coupled with the fact that corolla uses a small hub... different from the camry..
So youcam decide what you think you can cope with.
yommie007:
A 15 rim with tire profile 215/65/15 should do the trick too

A number of people mentioned and disagreed with my opinion on what the ideal rental rate should be and the nature of the arrangement between the driver and his partner, I enjoyed reading them and have respect for their opinion even if I dont agree with all they said.

Then there is you felicity, who in your normal abnormal self quoted me and spewed thrash.

I have read through many of the things you openly owned up to doing, from dropping people on 3rd mainland bridge at night, to driving your partner's car to the edo state, having frequent issues with lastma, police, frsc, lawma, ferma, to hopping from partner to partner......many here may not have the courage to let you know these are disturbing behaviour for a normal person saddled with conveying others safely to their destination.

At best, your behaviour is probably more suited for agbero or danfo driving than ehailing., at worst you have an emerging psychological issue.

Its better you respect your old age and not quote me again.
Thanks for speaking out Bruv, Felicity represents all that is wrong in Nigeria and is a bad e-hailing driver, l dont know his town or village but he needs prayer,
Imagine dropping passengers on 3rd Mainland bridge in the dead of night, supposing they were killed,
Felicity is not only evil but i dare say very stupid.
No right thinking person should associate with this fellow, he brings opprobrium to himself, his town and those of us in this trade, their is absolutely no justification for it.
Pure wickedness

My friend go and sit your atupid ass down... When people like me are talking on thus platform you're suppose to sit down and listen.

Even in that uk where you are I'll show you around in some cities there and how you can easily get your stay and get a good degree and get a better life not driving uber that will earn you 3k pounds monthly.

No wonder you're where you're now because you have failed to learn from people that knows better than you.

Many of you in diaspora are just wasting away, you have live 10yrs there and have not been able to mould a single block let alone buy a land but people driving uberand doing cleaning jobs here at home have become house owner.

It's not about abroad old man its about achievement.

Lol. I just purchased an ugly working perfect nissan sentra 05! Guess what, I am in love with the interior and clearance because i just drive am go akute and no single hit. Lmao. Take your time, search, take a competent mechanic and know you will still send 50-100k for tuneup!
I saw a nissan tiida around that price. Whatever car you buy. Ensure the interior is in good taste and first body. All other parts can be replaced but not the body.

Also ask for price of engine and gear and ac unit before purchase. Even ensure the ac is working before purchase.

boss link me with any good deal and a good mechanic.

Well, it is a very good deal... sold my 2003 sport version last month for 1.7m despite being used on the platform for 2 years and also had an accident. The major factor is the maintenance culture. Corolla has a very high 2nd hand value, more than any other car. Bought the car as toks, nov 2018, stared the hustle April 2019, accident may 2021, fixed and sold June 2021. Bought for 1.450m, served 2½ years and sold for 1.7m. Bottom line is the maintenance culture.
this is what will call over profit boss

I'll never support 25k. 30k is fine, and driver must handle oil and filter change, brake pads, and linkages.

Any driver not making money right now with this daily surge and gives excuses is lazy. I recommend you retrieve your car.

I have nothing to hide. Sky can accommodate everyone. My accusers haven't done better. All they do is complain. I don't take them serious. You can never have a sane discussion with lazy people. They'll want to drive you to their level, telling you you work too hard.

Funny thing is, my earnings increased when I started teaching others privately. Teaching them how I do it didn't decrease my performance but increased it.
Evening bro I have sent you an email.

Got a request some minutes ago, spoke with rider on the phone, in my head I profiled her, she would be a problem. Surulere to Mayfair gardens, I used rider app to check the estimate, 7k-8k5... I said to myself this rider won't pay this amount but I say make I fulfill all rights... Got to PU, waited some, then she came. Asked her if she knew the estimate she said No, her son made the request... I showed her the estimate, she said that's too high say she no fit pay... I said "I know", bye.

Private cab service is a luxury everywhere in the world. If you use it everyday it means you are rich, but here the tomato/spare-part hustler wants to order cab at least twice a day.

Good to see drivers making money on uber/bolt again

Just imagine the greed in your last paragraph as bolded. So if a driver makes a net of 60k after all expenses so he deserves just 20k alone for driving minimum of 9hrs daily while owner that invested 1.5m then and 2.5m now should take 40k ba! because he bares all of the risk? Can you see how selfish your submission is?

No look at it this way, lasma arrested me i paid 12k, vio I paid 10-15k, police, 2-5k, other like airport 2-3k.

Two nights ago I paid 1.5k, yesterday i paid 2k all to police...in a week no ye ooh... All the time I drove for partners (I've 3 partners here on thos forum) never a time I called any of them to come to my rescue apart from once to my former partner... Some of the times it was 10k, 5k, accident 10k, 5k and so on and so forth. And you're saying I should still give you 40k out of 60k net i made in the week... What can be more wicked than that? When at the end of the yr the car still belongs to you...

Oga if the kitchen is too hot for you pls leave... The business was not design for rental in the first place but due to economic crisis and challenges it's why we Nigerians now commercialized it to job like. .. So if you have a car abeg go with the hp terms otherwise look for something else to do or better still drive all your car yourself. You can register all in your profile and alternate them all different days in a week. Simple!

FINALLY someone stated the obvious

Most importantly, drive the car like it is your only hope of survival....
even with an average oil, service after 1k mile....
Try to open and close your trunk yourself... most corolla out there lock the trunk with rope.....
Caution riders to close doors gentle.....
When it rains heavily, don't drive.....
Wash regularly.....
Then you'd be fine......
Is the interval not too short?

The way you guys who claimed to be matured and exposed try to bully felicity is so wrong and unacceptable...

We should learn to deliver our diversified opinions without insults and swearing....just because his opinion is contrary to yours doesn't make him wrong, neither does it make you right.

His opinions doesn't have any control over your business, so why the cursing and insults.

He is not the one who will help you employ drivers, neither is he the one to decide your rent fee for you.

Felicity I will as well advise you pass your point without insult and cursing as well.

Let's try to be civil offline or online

It's very bad and totally uncalled for.

Today I look at this trend and I shake my head, it will be wrong for me to say baseless argument, but that's what it look like. If here is what'sapp group, man don exit.

Like what's the fuss about? Is it to keep the trend floating or settle scores? This car, that car, I've read cars to a point, as I deh like this I don confuse, sotey I saw hybrid. For God sake, ma corolla, matrix, civic, hyundai, volvo, mack o, we all have been (at least known) doing this driving thing for close to 2 years or more and I don't think anyone is using fuel of 6k to make 15k or buying parts every other week, whatever car we may b using, have served it purpose outside accident or poor maintenance, neglecting ford.

So what's it with cars or rental? Partners can peg whatever they like and if the driver see it fit to accept the agreement, fine! Is there a place standard price was written? I honestly don't understand how we intend to run business plan by this back and forth, where we know that situation changes and it's the deliberation and decision we made inbetween that we keep such busines going.

And to the partners, I just want u to know u r at the mercy of drivers, know that and know peace. If he chooses to b stupid, it will effect ur business in major way.

That is how I finished a trip this afternoon, rider called out like two of his family members who came and started speaking grammar for me. I just cross my hand dey rest for the side of my car. They were even asking me if the fee included taking them back to the pick up point. I for begin laugh but I no just dey in the mood.

After wasting like 15 minutes of my time arguing and asking jamb questions, the most senior guy among them brought out his phone and reluctantly transferred the money with a frown plastered on his face.

Some people don't even bother to check the prices before ordering. Whether it's on surge or not. For me, that's irresponsible. It's like entering a restaurant and not bothering to know the prices of items on the menu.

But who should be blamed? The cost of maintaining automobiles has skyrocketed recently. So definitely cost of transportation should increase.
