It doesn't matter if you get work experience and obtain the best grade from a University in the Netherlands. If you don't find a job that qualifies for permanent residence after you receive your 1 year post graduate work permit, you will be back in Nigeria or can choose to remain illegally and live like slave.

Yes i agree but for the part of being illegal. That doesn't profit anyone, u will only be wasting Ur time cos u can't do anything.

I did my LL.M in the Netherlands and I agree with most of the submissions. Nice place to stay, but you must learn dutch to thrive in the work place.

Where in Netherlands did you do you LL.M and were you able to obtain your permanent residency or did you have to leave?

Work there for 5 years and then you are able to apply for permanent residence. That was the requirement when I lived there, not sure if they changed reduced the number of years you can work until you can apply for permanent residency.
It's still part of the requirements till date

If you can learn the language and get a white collar job that pays well, I would say you will enjoy Netherlands and USA equally.
States in America like Florida,Texas and California have weather similar to Nigeria, so if you live in those states you will prefer USA over Netheralands.
It snows in Netherlands during winter.
Utah, Colorado, Springville do have decent temperature too. It snow too in those places.

Universiteit Van Amsterdam. I left after my studies. We didn't use to think twice about coming back to Nigeria then. Even my friends in the U.K, we all came back. We wanted to use our degrees to get high paying jobs.

Madam y Netherlands? Pls don't bother ursef going to Netherlands because since u have kinds it will not be easy.

Hi everyone,

Please what are my chances of getting admission into a Dutch university with a 2:2. I studied law but I'm applying for an MBA because even though I have my LLM, my law degree is useless there.

I picked Netherlands because it's the easiest and cheapest option for me because I'm traveling with two kids and my sister (a permanent resident, Married with kids) will be housing us for the duration of the masters, at least until i can get a decent job.

I'm about to register for IELTS and GMAT, I just want to know my chances before investing all that time and money into it.

I have been checking but I can't seem to find any major thread on Netherlands.

Wait till you get there and stay beyond 2 weeks before you make this conclusion. No paddyman for jungle.

Better hold enough money for you and your children if you dont want to lose your sanity.

Hello! Did you finally relocated to Nertherlands? I have few questions to ask
Re: My Chances In Netherlands? by megastu(m): 8:01pm On Dec 10, 2021
I agree with you.

I had my LLM in Netherlands and came back to Nigeria afterwards. You cant rely on job prospects to stay back

Rent around euros 800 - 1500 for a 2 bedroom on the outskirts. A lot higher in the city centre.

If u want to apply for EU blue, u need to have a job offer already on ground. If u have a sister already there, let her do Ur homework for u. Best ways to move are either u have a job and apply for Blue card or u get masters and go as a student. The student route is good but there are no assurances that u will get a job after the masters. So I would say the job offer is the best route, since u already have family on ground.
Let ur sister contact headhunters and find out possibility of finding jobs for someone in Nigeria. Chances are scarce though cos they prefer someone already on ground.
Also jobs making waves now and easily gotten are IT jobs, Engineering and health jobs. So if u don't have documents or certification in these areas, the job aspect may be slim, unless Ur sister knows someone who has a law firm and is willing to employ u for a few years.
I doubt u would get much information on NL for the Netherlands for someone who has a law degree. So pls refer back to Ur sister, if she doesn't know let her ask her husband who I would suspect has been there for donkey years. Let him ask around.

Good morning, pls what chances do I have as an Architect
