Just finished the capacity test, got 238ah, started at 12.5v, ended it at 9.0v

Until we treat inverter as a training to manage energy we won't understand why some gets more juice dan others. Check it as u check if gen still get fuel.

Generally, wattage written at the back of our appliances are not fully used. For example a tv of 50w can only be 50w only if all settings are at maximum e.g contrast, brightness, volume etc

Got tired of test as my 100amp LifePo4 was connected to:
Tv 50w
Gotv 12w
Bulb 9w
Total 71w

But my energy meter reads 50w for all(true watt)


Bulbs in other rooms turned on at intervals and turned off( Not used for calculations).

But for a constant capacity test, a 50w was pegged. GOT OVER 18HRS voltage still at 12.7v from 13.3v

Had to stop in order to recharge as nepa could be funny.

Nope, the inverter shut down around 9.7v, finished the test with a DC fan

With my normal charger I noticed voltage goes up to 14v + if charging when inverter is on so I disconnected and charge when I'm not using.

It seems the load out from the charge controller would solve this but people I know only connect bulbs there.

Nope, don't connect your inverter to load out of the charge controller as it can damage it, it is designed for light loads. You should have no fear concerning the high voltage of your battery when charging as it is normal, your inverter can operate in a voltage range of 10.0v to 15.5v

My Inverter and battery are connected and working perfectly.

I have a 70AH battery with the Ceepro.

Now I want to add a solar panel to do away with nepa charging.

I got a 30A PWM controller with the following

Max PV: 50V
Max Solar Input
12V battery, the highest 23V
24V Battery,, the highest 46V
12V max : 390W
24V max : 780W

I'm also seeing there are 12v and 24v etc panels

What sort of panel would work with the setup (250W panel)

I would upgrade the system later to 24V too with bigger battery and more panels so I need what would work with that when I'm ready

You can make do with a 250w or 300w panel, just a piece pls so as not to cook your battery with overcurrent. You may need to edit the bulk charging voltage of your cc to conform with your battery specs

This question should have been asked before buying the PWM controller, PWM cc are limited to the configuration of the battery bank, since u have a 12v bank, you can only use 12v panels, if it were a 24v bank then u either use a 24v panel or u series connect ur 12v to give u 24v.
Lastly, u'll be having a lot of energy losses with a PWM. So before doing anything else get urself a good MPPT charge controller and use whatever panels on any battery configuration.....

1. I said I'd upgrade the system later
2. I got a 12v Inverter first hence the 12v battery
3. I'm experimenting, if I'm doing a major installation I'd get someone to do it. I won't spend throusands on mppt and then fry it for a 70ah battery.

So the important part, I can only use a 12V panels for now. Thanks for that answer.
