South Africa too qualified for Olympics and we did not..kai,but who do us this thing sef

Na, quota now o. Ghana, Nigeria can't qualify st the same time because we are both in WAFU B.
Same way Algeria, Tunisia snd Morroco can't qualify at the same time no matter their form.
Blame West African and North African Union for this rubbish. They should have staged a workout when those meetings were held.

It's when they extend it yo q world cup that I'll know that Africa is really mad. Quota is ruining Nigeria and now Africa.

There is proper wrestling in the Olympics, that's Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling.WWE isn't proper wrestling.

Retracting my position on quota system being used for women's olympic qualification. Zambia deservedly qualified as overall winners

Edit:
Our male team performed woefully in the qualifying tournament.

You see, hammarby will develop Akinkunmi Amoo into a world class player.
The greatest problem African players have is situating a club that is
actually interested in developing them.
All these famous clubs are not interested in developing local African talent.
The clubs that are developmental in nature are:
1. Red Bull Salzburg: This is very obvious
2. Nordjallen: This club developed Mohammed kudus
3. Hammarby (where Akinkunmi Amoo is)
4. Generaly, the Nordish leagues (i.e Norway, Sweeden and Denmark).
5. The Belgian league
6. Isreal league where peter Olawale is (his club is a developmental club)
6. Man city subsidiaries like sk lommel and one club in France etc
. Ifk Gothenburg (that developed alhassan yusuf
Midtyland that developed Onuachu, onyeka etc
5. Others i cant remember or do not know

Hammarby is particularly interested in West African players and the owner of Sidos (Akinkunmi Amoo's football academy)
actually has an agreement with them. He could have been sold to a bigger club
but his managers refused as they did not have a developmental plan for him.
This is where our u17's should go. Going to a big club can be counter-productive.
Our youths fail in Europe because they go to the wrong environment but i am very happy we have learnt our lessons
Samson Tijani's movement to Red Bull Salzburg was brilliant as they are committed to youth development
There are some clubs in Europe our youths should not even go to or at best such clubs should sell/loan them immediately.
Anyway i commend Liverpool for developing Taiwo Awoniyi well. They constantly loaned him to where he could get playing time
until they found a good club for him in Germany where he will be played as he is their most expensive player there.
Our u17's and u20's will now suceed in Europe more often because we now know the importance of developmental football
and not rushing someone to Barcelona after scoring 15 goals in a youth competition.

Lastly Pele said Africa will win the world cup because African footballers will go to Europe and learn
and i think he was right.

19 year old Kamaldeen Sulemana recently sealed a €15million move from nordajaelland to Stade Rennes.

Nice report. Please do you have an update on a certain Tomi (Aka Aguero).
I think he left the shores of Nigeria with Amoo or something. He was once seen in a picture with Ibrahimovic.
Ever heard of him?

He is in Hammarby Taalang (their youth team in the 2nd or 3rd division).
He has played 12 matches and scored 4 goals. I hope he makes it to the main team
as he is an attacking midfielder. His name is Alfred Olatomi Olaniyan.

By the way if our Nigerian League was good, they will easily develop these young stars and sell them to
European leagues in maybe France. We need a good local league but that is another story

Thanks for the update.
I remember one time while sleeping in the hostel those days and hearing people shouting Aguero up and down. The lad had just come in as a fresher and was mesmerising a lot of senior players in the hostel miniature field.
I was like "who be this dude wey everyone just dey talk about sef?" I went to see for myself...
On sighting him I'm like, "naaa, this guys height is a bit too low to eventually blow." Because he was short. I underestimated him. Well, I was to be wrong.

By the time I took my time to watch this guy, I'd consider him arguably one of the best young players I've ever seen.
OMG! This guy was something else. A beast who had developed a foundational and intelligent football brain.
His ball control, deft touch, awareness and ability to beat strikers was on a god-mode level... not to mention his ability to score and the fact that he was entertaining and exciting. I immediately predicted he'd go far.
Like play like play I heard he had repped us for African U17 but was unfortunately sidelined for the U17 wc.
I wasn't surprised when I later heard he was in Sweden.

Like, there are lots of players that are good. But no way will you watch this guy play and not want him called up for bigger things.

I think Amoo is Aguero
I'm just watching his YouTube videos.
They kind of look alike, but they're not same person. Amoo is short like Aguero too.
But Amoo na left footer. Aguero na right.

Yes he has almost the same aggression with osihmen, but he needs to work on the clinical aspect of his game. He always want to shoot each time the ball comes to his leg. I'm happy for him.
