Congratulations to the recent PPR recipients. I pray we all get the good news. I have a question. With the hindsight of proving purpose of visit, how do you explain in your SOP why you are choosing data analytics for PGD. Background 10 years work experience in facility management/real estate. First degree -Business Admin. Thank you.

Gaskiya, it's no Child's play.

You can try send a soft reminder to those Profs., they might just respond. Some would respond after such reminder telling you "sorry for the late response, blah blah"

A SAMPLE OF A SOFT REMINDER MAIL TO THE PROFESSOR YOU SENT A COLD MAIL TO

Dear Dr/ Professor X.

My name is Arinola Cardozo, I am a potential applicant to program x. I sent you an email 5 days ago regarding the potential of you being my supervisor for so so program program. I decided to re-send this e-mail as I was not sure you had seen it.

I look forward to hear from you soon

Kind regards,
Arinola Cardozo

Also Make sure your mails are sent in the timezone of the Canadian province the Professor (school) is located, Send mails to Canadian profs. preferably in between 12.30pm & 2.30 pm , cos that would be the 8am, 9am of those profs. In Canada. Doing this would bring about a certainty that your Mail would be on the Top 5 to Top 10 Mail inbox of the Prof.

Very importantly, don't send a Mail to a Prof. on a weekend, cos if you do, your mail would be submerged by those who sent it on Monday at the aforementioned time and it won't be treated with any priority.

Thank you so much lekiboboe. i intend specialising in Finance. Research interests are in Corporate finance and investment banking or international finance.
You are welcome Chief.

Of a truth, the Non-STEM graduates I have seen so far that got Fully-funded Graduate offer from Canadian & US Universities are those in
- History
- International Relations
- Political Science
- Language & Linguistics etc.

I haven't really come across Non-STEM in Management areas that got Fully-funded Graduate offer in a Canadian or US universities.

But I feel the possible game changer for you is if you can tailor your Non-STEM Management Research Interests to STEM cos have seen posts on twitter whereby some two guys in Banking & Finance field have to tailor their Research to STEM , which enabled them get a Fully-funded Graduate offer.

How can you do that?

Since you specialise in Finance & your Research interests are on
- Corporate finance and investment banking or international finance, if you are skilled in Data Analytics (Python, SQL, R-progam, Advanced Excel, SAS etc.), you can easily go for RESEARCH INTERESTS in Business Analytics, cos your skills in Business Analytics can be applied to Corporate Financing, investment banking , international finance

You can go through the Post in the link below, you might find it helpful

If you are interested in MSC or PHD in Business Analytics in Canadian Universities

Lekiboboe:

You are welcome

The above Job Duties as mentioned is 100% related to Human Resources Management (HRM). I would suggest he goes for a PG. Cert program in Human Resources Management (HRM)

See the link below for

PG. Cert in HRM (human resources Mgt.) programs & Colleges Offering them
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/440#95313925

I don't see any linkage between Global Business Management and the mentioned Job Duties, probably the Gurus or other members of this platform might be able to deduce a linkage

Thanks so much Bro. I appreciate you. We will do that asap.

@ Shawn55ng,
So sorry about your refusal. Iv been there before and pray not to experience it again.

Just relax, delay is not denial. You can only fail when you give up. Please order your note, see what they want and re- fire, have faith in God and you will get there.
You can contact Annon123 for your gcms notes.

I need help guys..
I got a refusal, few days ago, it says I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada based on your asset and financial status.
But sinc then I have been receiving emails that says there are changes in your application status and when I log in there's no update.
Yesterday my medicals was reupdated again.
This morning I logged and saw that my background check was updated again.
I don't know if this a normal thing for refused applicants, I'm planning on reapplying but I'm just confused with the updates and email even tho I have been refused

Hmnnn, who knows? Maybe they want to change refused to approved. What God cannot do does not exist.
Meanwhile, order your gcms note to progress with your reapplication plans, and if it is changed to “ approved “ you have nothing to loose.

OCT202020:

Yes you can, but you're limited to a maximum of $15,000 usd quarterly.

You'll need to tender
1. Letter of Admission.
2. Educational certificate.
3. International passport.
4. Authorization letter from the intermidiary (in most cases)
5. Can't remember again o.
Just realize my school said they do not want electronic transfer. I am so confused.

Good day All,

All thanks to God for the multiple issuance of PPRs in this month of July, it has really felt so good seeing rains of PPR in our midst, and I pray those still waiting will also get their PPRs in Jesus name... Amen

Please this is for those that were refused, cos in as much as there have been rains of PPRs it doesn't mean there have not been refusals. If you know you have been refused, also share your timeline and the reasons for your refusal.. There is nothing to be ashamed of, afterall this is a faceless platform and none of us is using our real names here.

Being delayed doesnt mean you wont still get your Visa, we all know of some applicants here that got their visas after the 3rd attempt and even the 4th attempt..

In Fact, I remember a moniker on this thread in 2018 that got his Visa after his 7th attempt, it was a do or die affair for the guy and as I am typing this now, I am sure he would have gotten his Permanent Residence...

So please if you know you have been refused, kindly put down your timeline here and your refusal reasons. myself or any of the Gurus can guide you in getting your Visa..

Remember it is not over until you win, so Never say Never...

PEACE

This is correct, refusal does not indicate one is less qualified, May God help us all.

It's possible, but it requires more effort.

Find a way to prove hometies...

It could be economic hometie, such as a job or business you own.

It could be Familial hometie, such as spouse, children, etc.

It could be asset hometie, such as properties of high financial worth.

And most importantly, write a very convincing SOP.

Since your daughter is accompanying yo, I will advice you do the medicals for her too .

Even though they have not requested for it , which they will still do by the time they want to process her application.

Typically IRRC processes the Primary Application first before attending to the Secondary application which is your daughter.

For instance , My Passport was requested while I await a passport request for my daughter.

Please if you got a refusal, kindly post your timeline and documents submitted. This will help you get advice on what to include or remove in your next application.

I have seen a refusal that resubmitted after 2 weeks and got an approval within a month.

This journey is not easy but worth it.
God will do it this time around.

A 3yr old will do medicals. They will basically do the regular checkup(height and weight) and medical history. If you are proactive, you can book medicals for both of you so it won't delay her application process.
