Hello elders and knowledgeable fellows, pls who can help me make some inputs on this issue, I learnt there is a positive correlation between multiple sex partners, sti and prostate cancer, and im kind of not so clear on it.

I know there is a positive correlation between the no of multiple sex partners and sti but prostrate cancer is a totally different issue on its own.
The more a man or a woman engages in active intercourse with more than two partners the likehood of contracting any kind of infection is very high.This is because the other sexual partners are also engaged with other partners and here is where infections can find its way into their mix

But there is a mild relationship between some types of infections and prostate problems( not cancer)

There is relationship between the age of men,the effect of cholesterol,harmful fat and possiblity of developing prostrate cancer

Prostrate cancer is not a death sentence for those who have it

Ejaculatory frequency
Over the years, there has been growing evidence of a link between ejaculation and lower chances of prostate cancer.

In 2004, the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study (HPFS) cohort reported a significant positive relation between monthly ejaculation frequency and prostate cancer risk based on 8 years of follow-up [330].

A major study of 2016 that involved almost 32,000 men revealed that men who ejaculated ≥ 21 times per month (EPM) had about a 20% lower chance of low-grade prostate cancer, compared with those who had ≤ 4 - 7 EPM based on 18 years follow-up [331]. A year later, a case-control study sampling a smaller group of men (2,141) from age 20 to 50 found only weak evidence of an inverse association between ejaculatory frequency in the fourth decade of life and advanced prostate cancer, which was not significantly modified by a number of new sexual partners [332]. In the same study, no relationship was found for ejaculatory frequency in the third and fifth decades of life.

The ejaculatory frequency may influence prostate cancer development through several mechanisms. One biological mechanism is described as “prostate stagnation hypothesis”, which involves the prostatic accumulation of potentially carcinogenic secretions that may create a favorable environment for prostate cancer development [330, 333]. More frequent ejaculation may alter the function of peripheral-zone epithelial cells, which start to oxidate citrate rather than secrete it. This metabolic switch is known to occur early in prostate tumorigenesis [334]. Finally, the higher ejaculatory frequency may reduce the development of prostatic intraluminal crystalloids, which have been associated with a higher risk of prostate cancer [335, 336]. More frequent ejaculation is thought to help to lower psychological tension and favors central sympathetic nervous system suppression, which could dampen the stimulation of prostate epithelial cell division [337].

The literature explores a likely relationship but it's not related

And it is listed amongst the many other factors which are as listed in the study
There is vasectomy,std, environmental cacinogens,medications,chronic inflammation and prostatitis,insulin,castration , cigarette smoking,obesity and exercises,coffee,alcohol etc
