Newton85: The Igbo novel written by Ajayi crowther wasn't intelligible to over 99% Igbo people.. Igbo dialect obtained from Freed Slaves in Sierra Leone was used..Only Bonny Igbo, Opobo and Ndoki could understand the Igbo dialect used..This is why the book was not acknowledged as the First Igbo literature |
