Good evening Mamas,I used kids and teens cream on my boy of 5years and stopped after 3weeks when I noticed he was getting lighter especially on the face. Upon stopping, he started having rashes on his face after 2days. It’s up to a week now and the rashes have not cleared. Please what can I use? Presently using Baby secret cream and detol soap on him. Thank you.
can you share the picture of the kids and teens? There are many fakes of them out there

Hello mamas. Please my lo is 3weeks and 4days old, she passes a lot of gas and her tommy makes a lot of noise, she is uncomfortable most times and doesn’t poo everyday like she used to sometimes for two days. My breast milk supply isn’t much atall till now even after taking a lot of pap, oats and staying hydrated so I co-feed her with peak 0-12 months infant formula. I also give her water sometimes. Please what can I do to ease the discomfort? Her pediatrician told me to get infacol colic relief but it’s really scarce here. Is it possible the formula or what I’m eating is what is making her constipated? How often should I give water since she isn’t exclusively breast feeding yet. Can I switch formula? If I can to which one?
Thank you

try another infant formular, that peak 0 to 12 months get as be, try stage 1 of APTAMIL or that other common one that has 2 variants gold and pro...

I think taking tea, pap, and millet drink (kunu) works just fine.
I hear some mothers also talk about lactating cookies.

Good and healthy food. Try different meals: purees, yam flour solids (amala and ewedu), peeled beans, noodles mixed with egg, boiled egg, yogurt, etc. All in moderation

Thanks mama. Although, I have been taking lots of pap and I still don’t get good results. It’s even worse that my boy doesn’t like sucking from breast

My sister, runaway from anything that claims to brighten the skin for children...they're bleaching agents.
Go for hypoallergenic products

Your supply isn't improving because the baby isn't sucking well so you have to introduce pumping.
Lots of water, rest, eat well, pap and pump pump pump.

Genetics play a huge role in baby weight. What was the birth weight? Is the child eating well or a picky eater?

At 13 months food consistency should be mashed not pureed. In addition to the previous mamas post, you can add fatty foods to the food for the baby. Get butter (not margarine) and add to mashed rice, potatoes, pap (augustsecrets) etc. Use full cream milk for teas and pap. Generally give balanced diet.

At 1 yr, Babies triple their wight at birth. It's likely your baby weighed around 3kg +-.Just make sure the food is balanced.

Hi Sis..thanks for the response. I have stopped it but he has eczema-like rashes on his face for about a week now. I don’t know what to use to clear it as I am scared of all kids products now. Is cacatin okay?

If not for the rashes he already has I would have suggested Blue seal Vaseline to bring back his complexion. But be sure the reaction is just from the cream you used and not ela

Hello everyone.
I'm a FTM and I want to know the dos and donts within the first 1-3months after delivery.
I attend antenatal classes but I want to add to my knowledge from other experienced parents here.

Eg, cord cleaning, necessary baby clothes, weird things that are normal, right oils, things to avoid while bathing baby etc.

It's just going to be me and my husband. So, I need all the advise I can get.

Thank you.

U might really need to read thru a lot of pages back on this thread cos a lot of valuable information had been shared here.
Find time to go back n read cos really there isn't like some sort of 10 commandments cast in stone but there are some things that are really just basic when it comes to taking care of newborns.

Might sound like a lot of work going back to read, but it's worth it at d end of d day.

Simply take her to your pediatrician (doctor), they would tell u what to do, you can also try nasal saline drops, it helps thin mucus that blocks the nose and take note,
Don't give her cold drinks, all her food should be mostly warm, and keep her hydrated.

Yes. He’s had his cut already. Plus he already was on his way talking at 1.3-1.5years. He could say almost anything you tell him clearly. He just suddenly regressed after I came home from the hospital with DD.
Hello I am also going through the same thing my son is 2years2minths and he is yet to speak. I had a hearing test done and the result said everything is fine with his hearing ( I was sure he hears well but I did it, just to rule it out and be very sure). The doctor suggested a speech therapy and that he just gas speech delays. Try and get the test done to be sure its not a problem. We keep praying and hoping we pass this phase. Just wanted to let you know. You are not alone. Take care.

Worm causes cough? grin
Take her to a pediatrician to confirm it's not a chest infection.
Honey and lemon will help ease the discomfort

Thank you momma. Good to hear about the healthy hair void of the 1year traditional cut. If only I knew the right kiddies hair food to rejuvenate her front edges.

I’m located at Awoyaya. I don’t mind at all pls. I’m open to getting professional opinions. He’s just non-verbal as u put it. Everything other aspect is pretty much okay.

Can I send u PM? Remember I shared my experience with my son? I could put u through one or two things

Lol. It's possible she took after someone in your family. But if she's meant to be dark, there's nothing you can do about it. Personally I don't believe creams can change babies skin colour (with the exception of those who bleach their babies skin). My first daughter was light skinned as a baby but she started getting dark when she started school. I had a friend whose baby was much fairer than my daughter when she was born but today, her skin colour is same with my daughters colour. Don't worry yourself too much

Hello mothers
Please my 19 months old boy has been limping his left leg for 2 weeks now, last week Monday I took him to teaching hospital to see a doctor, Dr said there is no cause for alarm once he can stand on it and walk and he can move his limbs.
But I'm getting worried because the feet is cold and getting slim than the other leg.
NB: He was given injection to treat malaria 5 days before the limping started.

We know what you are talking about and unfortunately you need to be referred to a neurologist. But only knowledgeable physicians would refer you to hyperbaric oxygen therapy for quicker solution of the injection paralysis which is already being aggravated.

Urgent action needs to be taken now to prevent local limb growth retardation or shortning.

We are HBOT PROVIDERS and are ready to help.
