We lost 81-72 but I am very happy with the performance. They just were too big for us.

In my heart of hearts I believe we win this game. They got too many rebounds even though we played tremendous defense. Did Chiney also get denied?

Wow that's just bad. Those people know what they are doing. They changed the rules and now that we want to take advantage of it they have moved the goalpost. Those girls would have made us title contenders and I am sure FIBA knows this.

There is home cooking going on for Asian boxers in the Olympics. They have been winning rounds they don't deserve.

Sports in Nigeria is dead in general, especially organized secondary school and grassroot sports.

Im not sure, but I think Chiney was allowed to represent us as a neutralised player but she pulled out.... Maybe because it may permanently shut out her sister from the team.. again, I'm not sure...

Sports can never be dead. We just don't want it enough. The children rather look at phones than go outside and play and even when they play they lack passion.

We sure could have used her today. If we could have grabbed just a few more defensive rebounds we would have had a great chance.

I don't know but as per football a lot of effort is being made. There is the university football league and the sports minister revived the principal's cup and all those Barca, Roma academies etc

What I mean is organized sports in secondary schools and grassroot levels, the bedrock of sports.

According to French journalist, Ignacio Zenoardi, Olympiakos have submitted a loan + option to buy offer for Onyekuru.

The Greek side don't have the funds for an outright purchase this year, it might be obligation to buy.

For them to be making an offer, they must have received the go-ahead from Henry.

As confirmed before, they did not withdraw their offer for him, just told him to speed up his decision.

Olympiakos have just one spot for a foreign player left in their squad.

Besiktas' interest have wanned. Fenerbache still in, but hoping for cut price deal.

Things will become clearer after Wednesday.

Onyekuru to Olympiakos almost a done deal.

The Greek side are so keen on the player that immediately they got the yes from Onyekuru, they sped up the transfer. They have been chasing him since his Everton days.

They might decide to outrightly buy the player, but first have to confirm UCL group stage money will come.

François Modesto, chief scout at Olympiacos, who speaks English, personally called him and showed him the Greek club's plans this season.

Olympiakos will be in UEFA group stages if they avoid defeat against Azerbaijan side, Neftchi Baku, tomorrow. Head coach, Pedro Martins is also a big fan.

The good thing about this deal is that Olympiakos are short of quality first team players.

The bad: Greece is an awful league.

Watford and Hertha Berlin were the other non-Turkish sides interested.
