So why didn't Gerrard join when they came calling especially Chelsea? For the fact that he under achieved at Liverpool means he can't be placed alongside gods like Xavi, Iniesta and Pirlo.

I'll leave Scholes alone because his style of play suits a winning team. Unfortunately, England didn't know how to use him.

As for Lampard, I can't be moved by his goal-scoring abilities. He couldn't dictate and control midfield in key matches for England. How can a loser in his NT be a football god?
