Such people then tend to switch accents when they go to new places in an effort to blend. maybe she has subconsciously decided to stick with the Nigerianised accent because majority in the house are like that.

She code switches. If you have grown up in multiple countries, and been exposed to different accents, code switching will be easy for you

Vee used to code switch last year, and una no call her accent fake. How can someone who was born and did her basic studies, and tertiary studies in the UK have a fake UK accent? She literally learnt how to speak English with the English accent. It was Secondary School she did in Nigeria.

If she has a fake accent, it is the Nigerian one
