The lifeless vegetable shut down the borders yet he wants to construct a bridge into Cameroon to smoothen free trade, also the 1.5 kilometre bridge will cost 35 million dollars, at this point even all the vultures in the bbq grill are tired of this government 51 Likes 4 Shares |

$36million to build bridge. This money should be used to build fences at the opened and less secured border in the North so as to reduces the influx of these foreign invaders. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

We don't need a border separating Cameroon and Naija not at all put that money into industrialization, education especially for empoverished northerners those almajiri's those ones who are most likely to be extremists show them the light. You can put that money into electricity, or youth empowerment programs or job creation as in no interest loans for local private sector who will expand and create more jobs and pay back the loans for others behind them to also benefit from For now let us leave infrastructure the only development we need now is Human development those humans will in turn develop their surroundings but when these humans are too poor they cannot even develop their bedrooms let alone their compounds or yards let alone front of their gates let alone the roads leading to their houses or villages A small example a company entered where I live in Naija and as that company came guess what? They paid for electricity bill, for the entire area, whenever light goes they call phcn, if anything spoils they replace it ASAP because they need electricity to produce what they produce it shouldn't be so but at least for the community this is an improvement from just a year ago when if transformer blow they will go round collecting contribution some will want to claim smart and not pay, others won't pay on time etc etc and it will delay for months even when eventually everyone pays the light will still not last for even 2 hours per day. So develop people hopefully even if those people don't develop their surroundings crime will go down, higher value will be placed on human life, standard of living will improve, human sympathy,, relationships, minding your business things you can't quantify the value of will increase, you will not be able to pay people 500naira each to buy their votes, or pay them 10,000 or less to kill a human being, life will be better for you and those around you. 2 Likes |

This was a project conceptualized & started during the PDP era & as usual, this government is coming to claim credit. The following article appeared online less than two months of this government. At the time, recall that Buhari government hadn't even appointed ministers, talk less of awarding contracts. Can this government show any project it initiated & completed❓❓All dem sabi na to dey lie. Even funding was by AfDB. ❎❎❎❎❎❎❎❎❎❎❎❎❎❎❎ https://www.worldhighways.com/wh10/news/new-bridge-connection-nigeria-cameroon NEW BRIDGE CONNECTION FROM NIGERIA TO CAMEROON A new bridge is being built linking Cameroon and Nigeria and spanning the Cross River where it forms the border between the two countries. ROAD STRUCTURES / August 18, 2015 A new bridge is being built linking Cameroon and Nigeria and spanning the Cross River where it forms the border between the two countries. Work on the new dual carriageway bridge has been delayed but the link should be complete and ready for traffic by the end of 2015. The 276m bridge is being built by a Chinese contractor, China Civil Engineering Construction Company, with work having commenced two years ago following the tender process in 2011. Funding is being provided by the African Development Bank (AfDB). The new structure will take the place of the single lane suspension bridge currently connecting Nigeria with Cameroon but which has insufficient capacity for the traffic needs. The new Cross River Bridge forms part of a wider project to connect the Nigerian city of Enugu with Bamenda in Cameroon, a distance of 443km. Some 240km of the highway route runs through Nigeria, from Enugu, though Abakaliki and to the border at Ekok. The remaining 203km is in Cameroon and runs through Mfum to Mamfé and Bamenda. As well as connecting Enugu and Bamenda, this new road link will also provide better transport connections to and from the Nigerian port of Calabar into neighbouring Cameroon. Completion of the new route will improve trade and transport between the neighbouring nations, which has been hampered by inadequate links in the past. In addition to the new cross border bridge, there is another 100m long bridge on the route that spans the Munaya River, a tributary of the Cross River, in Cameroon. 3 Likes |
