Congratulations! TundeTheHunter: E don happen o!!!!! PPR ALERT TIMELINE: • February 8th: First submission • February 17th: I received an NSE request. I had already submitted IELTS, so they just requested for MBS certificate. • March 10th: I completed my NSE resubmission. • March 16th: I went for upfront medicals • April 12th: Medicals were updated to passed • April 19th: I received a BVL At this point I was so excited and was anticipating receiving PPR. • April 21st:Received a request letter asking for police certificate. I received the request mail around 6am. I went to Ikoyi that same day to get the police certificate and submitted it that same day. • May 5th: I received a second BVL. When I received this, I was so confused. I had never heard of someone receiving more than on BVL. I thought IRCC mistakenly sent me BVL instead of PPR. • May 31st : I ordered my GCMS notes • June 30th: I received my GCMS notes. They were perfect, they showed “Eligibility: passed” and “Final: approved”. I was so happy, but IRCC decided to keep me waiting. I can't lie, I started to doubt whether the notes were true. • July 28th : PPR I am a first time applicant. I applied for a PGD in Marketing & Data Analytics at Okanagan college. I submitted 2 MBS certificates, one from my dad and the other from my uncle. I also submitted two letters of sponsorship, one from my parents the other from my uncle. It has ended in praise!!

Perseverer:
The eligibility review of a thing doesn't say much bro.
My eligibility review started two days after submission of application. Nothing till now.
Someone submitted application in February, and eligibility review started almost immediately. Nothing till now.
I think backlog and oversight can make Consular officers leave some files, while we keep thinking eligibility review is ongoing.
Most times, what's ongoing is background check, not Eligibility review.
Eligibility review shouldn't take more than three days to complete.
Study GCMS notes and you will see what I mean. I really can't understand IRCC method at all. I am just hoping they should just give us PPR on time |

The right way to ignore NSE and which also save you processing time is for your to draft a letter that you are ignoring and why you chose to ignore. And then upload them in both places provided for MBS and IELTS and send back to them. That help calls their attention to the update in your application and saves you that 30 days after which they are waiting to resume normal application Peacekid: Hi All,
Please, is it normal if someone's profile reads "your action is required" even after ignoring NSE request that was sent in March?
Should I be worried? Can PPR enter with such a profile?
Eligibility review started June 30th

Timexxy: To be honest I don't think it matters but better still compose a word doc informing then to go ahead with the normal route and go upload under the space made for the IELTS AND MBS as required. Click 'View submitted documents....' to see that. Then after that, submit and your current status will change to 'submitted' immediately
Thanks plenty!
I will do that ASAP

LoadedHollow: Please I’ve applied for student visa since last year November. I have emailed them multiple times but all they keep saying is "We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.
Due to the ongoing situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only.
We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.
Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed."
I’m tired I swear. We’re staring in person classes by September and still no feedback from them. I saw what you guys call ghost update but I’ve seen no advancement since then. Can anyone help with an email that I can write to them that will at least do something? You can try re-strategize your Webform/Mail content and make it more appealing and to some extent emotional. Try drafting your Webform message body & mail in this format based on your own situation & resumption datehttps://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/228#98846426Don't restrict your Webform and Mail to IRCC Nairobi, also send it to other IRCC offices That being said, see the link below for Webform Links (Nairobi, Beijing, Guangzhou, London)https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/195#98589889Email address of other IRCC offices you can mailhttps://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/6#97288992 2 Likes |

If you see my pride ehn, as I reach the gate, the police people at the door said my boys are too plenty they can’t enter, just 9 people oo, I sha gave them 5k, they et them enter 1 by 1, I took my load to one place, “CUSTOMS AND NDLEA”.... I sha gave them 1k, I pass there, one other place, “Quarantine services” those ones took 2k.. just not to search my bag oo
As I’m leaving Nigeria na... I was still smiling, my boys were hailing me...
As I reach that place they used to stand in queue, one yeye boy that thunder will fire came to meet me, e say “do I have yellow card” Which dirty yellow card, they have already warned me against these airport thugs, I looked at him disgustingly, I said “which one is yellow card now” e say I no need am, say for back na 100$ but for that front na 6k..
I just look the boy, I sha gave him the 6k, he na ran to one place and brought one small thing like this... e b like booklet!

He said he can let me go o, but if I go they will send me back, I said no no, so I’ll need to reschedule my flight, Turkish airline people said coz I got my tickets from wakanow, I should go there and reschedule, I was offloaded from the flight, then me and my boys went to MM2 (wakanow office) those anyhow people said I’ll pay 600k to get a seat for august 28....

ooa1st: Thank you very much for this insightful submission.
However, I have few questions.
We know there's usually a quarterly ceiling to what each entity and individual can access, what happens if one reaches its limit and genuinely requires Forex for essential need like health or goods at the port about to enter demurrage Also accessing Forex at banks requires huge documentation and we all know the bureaucratic nature of this country, what happens if 1 has a deal to settle but can't furnish the bank all necessary documents
Lastly, we know allocation of Forex at times as to do with them them and long queue. Those who require might not get it within required timeframe whilst the big guns cut corners, how does CBN & DMBs in the country intends to address this.
I feel the idea is good but has the apex bank worked on ease of accessibility, documentation, fast allocation and other bottleneck to get this going without adversely affecting geninue users who have been transacting via BDC channel for years?
I think we have a long way to go and this policy will affect us negatively ( just like border closing). This won't stop round tripping and racketeering, bankers have been empowered and the cartels will start operations. After all who's going to monitor their dealing and how often does CBN conduct on site supervision?
In all a good policy with bad implementation tools and strategy.
Good day bro. I feel your concern but for the greater good of the country it had to be implemented. In a country with law's being enforced, I can boast all will be well. But as you know Nigetians are ingenious and will look for ways to frustrate or circumvent an obstacle. To answer your question 1. I watched the CBN monetary policy review (MPR) broadcast (live)and the CBN governor never spoke about ceiling or quarterly limit. So it may be safe to assume it remains. However the CBN governor stated it would honor all legitimate requests backed with documents. 2. HiI advise that people should either book well in advance for their needs backed with docs or open $ domiciliary account and fund it via bank and get dollar debit card you can travel with and just hold cash of under $500-1000. 3. We just have to wait and observe. In theory, banks should be flooded with Forex in the weeks ahead. But if the people in power start using connection and man know man to abuse the directive, we will know as the mallams will still be in street. The black market mallams should disappear now and if Nigerians stop patronising them. But if people still go to them despite higher rates, because they want to avoid documentation at banks, then it encourages them and they will go underground and operate illegally 1 Like |

Hi Guys. I submitted my Application on June 22nd. I made sure all my documents met the requirements for NSE. I already did biometrics for my Express Entry in 2020 and also uploaded medicals and IELTS with sufficient POF and SOP. I haven’t heard anything from them since then. My questions are; Are they actually processing my Application as NSE? How long is it going to take? What are my chances of getting PPR before my 7th of September school resumption date? I’d really appreciate an informed response to these questions. Thanks guys. |

There are two yellow cards 1. The one the give you after getting boarding pass to fill your details f destination, name, etc. Its yellow s Colour. 2. A yellow booklet with QR code showing you have been immunised for yellow fever and other communicable diseases, like measles, etc. Its a yellow booklet and yellow in colour. You can get it at the medical center just before the toll gate leading to international airport when coming from Ikeja. Ask for building where you get yellow card. The immunization is valid for life if taken as an adult. I got mine last year. You can Google it 2 Likes 1 Share |

bollybeejay: Good evening everyone I've been seeing people ask what should be done about their refusals from the abundance of my knowledge when it comes to immigration matters the most reasons for refusal are usually Purpose of visit Personal assets and financial situation Finance Purpose of visit : when it comes to study permit often times even before ordering the gcms notes we should be able to detect what went wrong with our application, when you're denied for this reason above specifically all you need do is check if you're able to convince the visa officer as to why you are going to Canada to study a particular program and how that program will be of benefit to you and your career, even if it's a career switch it is in your best interest to write a very good and convincing study plan, we often talk about career progression and or educational progression but ideally the immigration system recognizes that we are human and situations can change even if you're switching career or going for a program lower than your last credentials make sure you do justice to your study plan Personal assets and financial situation The visa officer wants to see that you have done well for yourself where u reside or in your home country, even if you're being sponsored and you are not a minor you can show your level of establishment by adding your statement of account, even if you haven't been earning, have your sponsor pay a certain amount into your account, that's where we talk about gift deeds and the likes, if you don't have a personal assets in your name, submit your car purchase documents, have your parents do a gift deed of their idle land in your name. Even after submission of employment letters and the likes it won't hurt to go extra miles to package your application. The visa officer sees you the way you want them to see you. You aren't going to be interviewed so the best way u can show them who you are is via your submitted documents and your written SOP Finance: even when you have a sponsor and the funds appear okay for your studies, let your sponsor show commitment by sending a part of your fees into your account, the transaction can be tagged "study allowance to Canada" ," living expenses in Canada" etc so that when you present your bank statement and that of your sponsor they can see the transaction and see the readiness of your sponsor to support you, if you are using a 3rd party asides your parents it won't hurt to go extra miles and show the visa officer, what the 3rd party stands to derive by sponsoring you, what you owe the 3rd party or how your studies will also be of benefit to a 3rd party . A visa officer will have concerns as to why an uncle is sponsoring you and spending such a huge amount on you when he also has his own personal responsibilities. But it will make sense if an uncle is sponsoring you because he wants you to come back and head his company or he has a company that wants to support your business and his company supporting your business will gain more financial opportunities while your own brand in turn gets a better recognition and opportunities. Those are things that will make sense to a visa officer I just felt I should chip in some insights I can't start typing cos book go full. It will end in praise for us all Please I have an Important question. I am a lawyer in Nigeria with over 5 years' experience. I have my own law firm and I am married. Please which of the following courses, I am likely to get my visa approve. 1. Paralegal (Ontario College Graduate Certificate) 2. Graduate Diploma in Justice Studies (3) Will my Express entry profile affect my chances of visa approval? Note. My undergraduate certificate is second class lower. |
