America has a higher population of white people but no prizes for guessing which demographic is poorer, so sorry the more black people leading to more poor people excuse won't stick.

codemaniacs:

This is a sports thread leave politics out of it.

Black south Africans have the higher population so there will always be more poor black south Africans than whytes same way there are more rich black south Africans than whytes but the population statistics will not agree.

For example:
If there 5 million Whyte people and out of that only 3.5 million are rich that's 70% while if there are 20 million black south Africans and out of that only 11.5 million are rich that's 55%.

So when the media is telling you the figures they'll say 70% whytes are rich while only 55% blacks are rich but if you look at the figures you'll notice that the amount of rich black south Africans is triple that of whytes.

The Apartheid government was created to take care of the whites they never pretended about that.

Considering that the Whites only government didn't have any regard for the blacks as per education it will only be logical for things to improve in that aspect when the ANC took over but the point I'm making is the way the apartheid government went all out to improve the well being of whites hasn't been replicated enough by the ANC.

Ok black graduates have quadrupled but percentage wise is that any near that for whites. Poor health service delivery Blacks are still on the receiving end compared to whites. Tech innovation blacks south africans should be dominating thanks to relatively better education and infrastructure but yet ''poorer countries'' like Nigeria and Kenya are eating your pie in the tech space. Mention any field be it sports, business, technology, commerce where a South African is blazing the trail more often than not the individual is either white, asian or of colored origin.

Plus I never said the ANC were complete failures but with the infrastructure they inherited by far the best on the continent they should be doing way better. A country with knowledge people and world class facilities shouldn't be going into recession and battling power cuts.

Will answer this in due time, kinda held up at the moment. I appreciate your smartness though(it's refreshing), but SA is complex and its intracricies are unfortunately alluding u. Go through my 5000+ posts on NL and you'll see I never comment on Nigerian politics. It's for the same reasons Im seeing all the loopholes in your arguements about SA.

Will definitely engage u regarding this. Join me on one of my recent threads to continue this discussion since someone has raised an objection about this interaction on this thread.

It would have been worse than South Africa. You're only saying this because west Africans especially southern Nigerians were always prepared to attack the Bri:tish if the Brit:ish attacked them. And southern Nigerians of that era empowered each other. When the Brit:ish left Nigeria there was no University in Nigeria.

before the br:itish left Nigeria, the Br:itish did not build one university, our number of primary and secondary schools were very low, br:itish did not build
smooth roads all over Nigeria , no housing estates, no plans for clean water for communities, majority of the private companies where owned by the br:itish and they only gave Nigerians clerical work which is what the education system they gave us is meant to produce office assistants.

All the developments you see in Nigeria today from Abuja to lagos to calabar to Akwa-ibom to oyo to Enugu e.t.c are all built by Nigerians, our parents, our grand parents e.t.c the br:itish left Nigeria to rot. Everything you had and have the privilege of enjoying in Nigeria was and is through the hardwork of parents, grand parents, and other Nigerians.

I think you're ignorant
The Yaba college of technology and the university of ibadan offshot all were during the colonial era

The railway system that was properly functioning prior the british departure have been left to rot now we're starting all over

Even though the british never provided universities in large numbers they made provisions and accessibility for interested nigerians to travel to the UK for education the likes of awolowo, zik, kuti and others benefited from this....

Yes it could be said that the british did this with no genuine interest in mind but the exposure Nigerians gained from this mix up really opened the eyes of Nigerians.... especially the southern part of the country

Notwithstanding the corruption and mismanagement we're currently experiencing still birthed from our grand grand parents u mentioned

Arsenal continued their pre-season preparations with a 4-1 victory against Premier League new boys Watford at London Colney on Wednesday afternoon.

The friendly was hastily arranged after the Gunners cancelled their pre-season trip to the United States for the Florida Cup.

For the first time in pre-season, young Nigeria-eligible goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo was not involved and watched the game from the sidelines; manager Mikel Arteta handed a start to Bernd Leno with Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson named on the substitutes bench.

Wearing the number 4 at the back of his jersey, Watford's Nigeria international Oghenekaro Etebo started and was in action for 65 minutes before making way for Wise, while Emmanuel Dennis played only the first half.

Hornets quartet William Troost-Ekong, Dapo Mebude, Isaac Success and Tom Dele-Basiru were not in the squad.

Arsenal broke the deadlock inside sixteen minutes when Eddie Nketiah beat the Watford goalkeeper with a curling shot but it was level at the break as Philip Zinckernagel found the back of the net after his initial effort was blocked.

Alexandre Lacazette made it 2-1 from the spot at minute 70 before Kieran Tierney converted from close range in the 77th minute.

Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Miguel Azeez, on as a substitute in the 64th minute, scored the pick of the goals with a brilliant long range shot that beat goalkeeper Elliot in the 86th minute.

Arsenal are next in action on Sunday, August 1 when they host Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
Did anyone watch the match?
How was Isaac Success?

Fighting for our independence from the British was the best thing our founding fathers did and despite their numerous mistakes after that , I still feel they did the right thing.

Personally, I believe we were not suppose to get it right after independence, we will make mistakes and we will learn from it and get better. In the past, a coup would have happened after buhari shenanigans because past governments that weee overthrown didn't even do up to buhari but as a country, we lived through many coups to see that it doesn't work and we've learnt even the worse Democracy is better than the best military government.

If this country exists after buhari, I can assure you that we will learn from it as well and put more checks that will prevent a future Buhari type of government in future.

Also, we've lived through a civil war and we've learned our lesson from it that it's never a solution, despite the fact that there is enough reason for another civil war to happen today, but every same Nigeria no matter their ethnicity knows it is never a way.

It took America over a century to get their democracy straight, It took the British far more than that. Considering the age of most African countries, they are still toddlers learning to walk compared to Europeans that are seen as developed. We will get there too.

we were getting it right after independence, but the fact that one person ( Azikiwe ) from one major ethnic nation ( the Igbo ) was eager to subjugate all other ethnic nations ruined everything..

Just because he did not know how to keep his focus on the eastern region, the bad thing is the eastern region was about to experience serious economic boom due to oil that will have ensured the eastern region rapid infrastructural developments..

U:S used slavery, Bri:tain used and still uses wealth from its former colonies to ensure it stays developed, France takes at least $500 billion yearly from its former colon:ies to sustain itself.

so you're right.. but there's not another reason for a ci:vil war unless you want northern politicians to bring military regime back which is what they are trying to do with the help of the br:its and which will ensure complete subjugation of southern Nigeria like the br:its always wanted..

Remember it because southern Nigeria had excess revenue they joined it with northern Nigeria in 1914... if the br:its liked southern Nigerians they would have spent the excess revenue on housing, roads, schools, training centers. e.t.c. that's the point I'm trying to make.

the main issue was about whyte countries having athletes in sports that Nigeria does not.....

Nigeria does not have Athletes in other sports because Nigeria FG and state governments has not spent money on providing the infrastructure to train this athletes. most private citizens with revenue are mainly interested in Football not the other sports..

If red indians and mexicans were that important they will be in the religious books... black americans and other black nations are not migrants to the American continent. Bro, the black americans migrated during the trans Atlantic slave trade era wise u read up the british Britannica for this info even JW awake magazines will help alot

There were two types of colonialism pursued the first was in the 16-17the century aimed at pursuing a more white settled economy and the other of 19-20th century aim at european economy expansion
The first witnessed the migration of Europeans to new foundland like in new Zealand and austrialia, US,Canada etc for example new Zealand was originally owned by the maoris even the north africa many historians believed have whites due to the euorpeans that were captured as slaves about a 1000 by the arabs during the 15th century

The only countries in africa the Europeanz later choose settle where some of southern africa countries, senegal and algeria by France. The algerians greatly resisted

Saying that the USA originally belong to the blacks is simply out of context even the whites knows that red indians owns america

Will have to create a thread for this so we can both learn on this

- If you are African you will know Africans are tribal.. It is impossible for an African in that era to capture another person from the same ethnic nation as himself/herself and "sell" the person...
- Any person can build chains and routes and claim so and so happened..
- its not facts and truths, its rubbish.
- there's no need to create a thread...

euro:peans were not as rich as Africans in that era, so there's no means of payment that could have enticed any African to sell their fellow tribesmens/tribeswomen, nothing was "shacking" Africans in that era, Africans had and still have all the gold, diamonds, luxuries of the world e.t.c.

If an African committed a crime.. that criminal will be killed that same day because it was forbidden to kill another person..

the education eu:ropeans gave us limits our knowledge to their documents and books, that's one of the reasons I said you do not have the intelligence to understand because once I say something your brain will automatically seek out an euro:pean research or document to discredit me... Buhari admin has eroded every domain of Nigerian life. Now our track athletes are the latest to be on the receiving end. Sunday Dare has a lot to answer for and deserves to be sacked. This is the same man who’s actions prevented our rugby team from competing at the World Cup qualification repechage.

I hope Moffi won't regret it

That's the best move for him.

Repeat last season's tally and he gets a bigger move.

He is rated as a wonderkid in France.

Only problem is Lorient who survived relegation by the skin of their teeth last season haven't made any solid transfer this year.

codemaniacs:

Anytime someone says something you don't agree with your brain is groomed to automatically seek out europ:ean information on that topic..

Let me tell u i study political science with vatse literatures from anthropology, archaeology, political history etal most of this literatures were writ ten by Africa scholars prof. Oke, peter eke (famous two pulics; the civic and primordial public) and more

Africa kingdoms conquer kingdoms like the benin empire, ottoman empire, oyo empire etc this kindgoms upon conquering neighbouring kindgoms take up loots and slaves and later trade them with the merchants for some European products like matches, guns etc

Wish i can give u literatures written by Africa scholars though many can be found in JSTOR,PANGRAVE etc

The books are written by authors who were influenced and most likely sponsored by e:uropeans...

If African Kingdoms conquered other African kingdoms most of the languages in Africa will have been extinct.... Please use your intelligence or brain when people conquer other people they impose and enforce their own culture on the people they conquered.

I don't care what you studied....

its common sense... I'm not responding again...
