chrisooblog: Will answer this in due time, kinda held up at the moment. I appreciate your smartness though(it's refreshing), but SA is complex and its intracricies are unfortunately alluding u. Go through my 5000+ posts on NL and you'll see I never comment on Nigerian politics. It's for the same reasons Im seeing all the loopholes in your arguements about SA. Will definitely engage u regarding this. Join me on one of my recent threads to continue this discussion since someone has raised an objection about this interaction on this thread. |

codemaniacs: I think you're ignorant The Yaba college of technology and the university of ibadan offshot all were during the colonial era The railway system that was properly functioning prior the british departure have been left to rot now we're starting all over Even though the british never provided universities in large numbers they made provisions and accessibility for interested nigerians to travel to the UK for education the likes of awolowo, zik, kuti and others benefited from this.... Yes it could be said that the british did this with no genuine interest in mind but the exposure Nigerians gained from this mix up really opened the eyes of Nigerians.... especially the southern part of the country Notwithstanding the corruption and mismanagement we're currently experiencing still birthed from our grand grand parents u mentioned |

humility33: it was called Yaba Technical Institute not yaba college of technology, it was not a university while the br:its were in Nigeria. University of Ibadan was called University College, Ibadan.. it was not a full university, some courses required students when they finished at university college to go to e:ngland to get their degrees which you admit in your comment so you should ask yourself why a country of about 50 million people from different ethnic nations ( tribes ) in Nigeria at that era will require students to go abroad to get degrees and not have universities in their ethnic regions like someone said the railway was for their benefits not Nigerians and it didn't cover all over Nigeria... |

codemaniacs: Fighting for our independence from the British was the best thing our founding fathers did and despite their numerous mistakes after that , I still feel they did the right thing. Personally, I believe we were not suppose to get it right after independence, we will make mistakes and we will learn from it and get better. In the past, a coup would have happened after buhari shenanigans because past governments that weee overthrown didn't even do up to buhari but as a country, we lived through many coups to see that it doesn't work and we've learnt even the worse Democracy is better than the best military government. If this country exists after buhari, I can assure you that we will learn from it as well and put more checks that will prevent a future Buhari type of government in future. Also, we've lived through a civil war and we've learned our lesson from it that it's never a solution, despite the fact that there is enough reason for another civil war to happen today, but every same Nigeria no matter their ethnicity knows it is never a way. It took America over a century to get their democracy straight, It took the British far more than that. Considering the age of most African countries, they are still toddlers learning to walk compared to Europeans that are seen as developed. We will get there too. 1 Like |

codemaniacs: You're more ignorant on this than i thought Can u prove that words there that the positions obama and harris enjoyed are birth right of black americanslet me remind u american traditionally belong to the red Indians the mexicans have close resemblance to this race the Caucasians and Negros u see in USA were all migrants the whites obviously came in from Netherlands and Britian then new york was formerly called new Amsterdam later changed to New york when the british bought the city and name it after Yorkshire the independence america got was to stop paying of tax to the british government many prisoners and others were sent to america and later made to pay tax to the british government i told this story to let u know that america is a free world with opportunities for anyone that is wise enough enough to harness it for their good U are wrong to say white americans dont like picking people that are of black america descent The average black america is lazy, driven by orgies and gangsterism and more u can't live in black communities in los Angeles wit your two eyes closed without gun shoots and rival cults clashes. The average white american will not deny u a position if you're competent irrespective of your skin color thats the reason so many Nigerians are doing well in the country with thousands in the health sector as doctors, nurses some in nasa others in legal and educational sectors. |

timay: we were getting it right after independence, but the fact that one person ( Azikiwe ) from one major ethnic nation ( the Igbo ) was eager to subjugate all other ethnic nations ruined everything.. Just because he did not know how to keep his focus on the eastern region, the bad thing is the eastern region was about to experience serious economic boom due to oil that will have ensured the eastern region rapid infrastructural developments.. U:S used slavery, Bri:tain used and still uses wealth from its former colonies to ensure it stays developed, France takes at least $500 billion yearly from its former colon:ies to sustain itself. so you're right.. but there's not another reason for a ci:vil war unless you want northern politicians to bring military regime back which is what they are trying to do with the help of the br:its and which will ensure complete subjugation of southern Nigeria like the br:its always wanted.. Remember it because southern Nigeria had excess revenue they joined it with northern Nigeria in 1914... if the br:its liked southern Nigerians they would have spent the excess revenue on housing, roads, schools, training centers. e.t.c. that's the point I'm trying to make. 1 Like |

Nigeria does not have Athletes in other sports because Nigeria FG and state governments has not spent money on providing the infrastructure to train this athletes. most private citizens with revenue are mainly interested in Football not the other sports.. 1 Like |

humility33: I am trying my best to stop you from discriminating and stereotyping both black americans and south Africans.... If red indians and mexicans were that important they will be in the religious books... black americans and other black nations are not migrants to the American continent. If someone who has no Nigerian parent decides to run president in Nigeria , Nigerians will never ever vote for that person and that's why I said its the birthright of Black Americans... the U:S traditionally belonged and belongs to black Americans but you yourself will never admit that because there is no document to back it imagine if whyte people in S.A outnumbered black South Africans then whyte people claimed it as their own... there are gangsters in Nigeria also, there are also lazy Nigerians who are driven by orgies and rival cult clashes... |

codemaniacs: Bro, the black americans migrated during the trans Atlantic slave trade era wise u read up the british Britannica for this info even JW awake magazines will help alot There were two types of colonialism pursued the first was in the 16-17the century aimed at pursuing a more white settled economy and the other of 19-20th century aim at european economy expansion The first witnessed the migration of Europeans to new foundland like in new Zealand and austrialia, US,Canada etc for example new Zealand was originally owned by the maoris even the north africa many historians believed have whites due to the euorpeans that were captured as slaves about a 1000 by the arabs during the 15th century The only countries in africa the Europeanz later choose settle where some of southern africa countries, senegal and algeria by France. The algerians greatly resisted Saying that the USA originally belong to the blacks is simply out of context even the whites knows that red indians owns america |

humility33: lets leave this as sports. you're opening a door that you don't have the intelligence to understand where and what it leads to... I don't care what you've read because it does not tally with what's in reality... - transatlantic slavery never happened don't mind the "point of no return" locations its just to validate the history of slavery. - If slavery happened in Africa it did not happen in west Africa because west Africans were fighting the eur:opeans until the early 1900s.. - during the 16-17th century black americans were already enslaved.. - the first colonialism and slavery in Africa happened to north Africans over 1000 years ago through european-arabs people, its the descendants of enslaved north Africans that are behind terro:rism in Africa.. just because they wrote the history books does not make it true... |

humility33: - If you are African you will know Africans are tribal.. It is impossible for an African in that era to capture another person from the same ethnic nation as himself/herself and "sell" the person... - Any person can build chains and routes and claim so and so happened.. - its not facts and truths, its rubbish. - there's no need to create a thread... euro:peans were not as rich as Africans in that era, so there's no means of payment that could have enticed any African to sell their fellow tribesmens/tribeswomen, nothing was "shacking" Africans in that era, Africans had and still have all the gold, diamonds, luxuries of the world e.t.c. If an African committed a crime.. that criminal will be killed that same day because it was forbidden to kill another person.. the education eu:ropeans gave us limits our knowledge to their documents and books, that's one of the reasons I said you do not have the intelligence to understand because once I say something your brain will automatically seek out an euro:pean research or document to discredit me... Anytime someone says something you don't agree with your brain is groomed to automatically seek out europ:ean information on that topic.. 1 Like |

Buhari admin has eroded every domain of Nigerian life. Now our track athletes are the latest to be on the receiving end. Sunday Dare has a lot to answer for and deserves to be sacked. This is the same man who’s actions prevented our rugby team from competing at the World Cup qualification repechage. |
