This thread is a wonderful place to source for ideas.. all thanks to the gurus. I’m new here just in case my question has been answered previously. I’m really trying so hard to decide on which city to stay for job availability and conducive environment to bring up kids. We’re family if 4 and already gotten our visas. I’m to study at SHU (Sheffield) but classes are two times a week and online for now. I’m seriously considering staying with my family in a city where we can find good jobs and good houses to raise our little kids. Please help. The gurus in the house. Everybody. Kindly help me . |

Aminess1: Sheffield is okay. Try to stay close to the city centre as some employers (hustle jobs) do consider that. S1, S2, S3, S5, and some S10 have very good transport links to city centre. Most part of sheffield are safe, Avoid areas where refugees stay e.g. Burngreave For hustle jobs, you can apply to Amazon, Royal mail in sheffield, there are a lot of care jobs as well. You can search for teacheractive if you are interested in teaching jobs. The hospitality industry is also filled with jobs but covid might have knocked out a lot of positions. Depending on your budget, you can find 2bedroom flat of £500 - £600 that's not to far from SHU. 8 Likes 3 Shares |

tinke: Some of these houses are not posted online but you can get via "person know person" So you have to settle in first and ask students, fellowships that are there already. Check here too https://www.primelocation.com/to-rent/property/2-bedrooms/sheffield/?page_size=20&price_frequency=per_month&price_max=700&q=Sheffield%2C%20South%20Yorkshire&radius=0&results_sort=lowest_price&search_source=refine&view_type=grid 3 Likes |

MY people good evening. Please I need suggestions. I am a Nurse in the NHS currently on a long duration online Masters I need ideas on other organizations I could fit into The NHS is not giving me the much desired happiness and sense of satisfaction Looking towards NON CLINICAL job roles where i could still get a Tier 2 sponsorship I do not mind having to do some training just to fit in better Ideas and suggestions would be appreciated |

Health care related roles seem to be the easiest route to get Silled Work visa sponsorship. However, what exactly do you want to do? That might help to offer advice. Vooom: |

I understand where you are coming from. Best bet would be to plan your gradual transition through volunteering weekends/additional side study and development in what you really want to do whilst still working in the NHS so that upon qualification of ILR, you can then make your move without needing any sponsorship depending on how long you have left to qualifying. Move to NON CLINICAL roles might require you to join private companies who might sponsor but some can even be worse off. You are not alone, I know someone who isn't getting the same feeling of satisfaction you are referring,Goodluck. Edit: I can see from your previous post that you have been here only 7 months - I weak as my advise won't work in this case. Vooom: 1 Like |
