Why did a woman run against men in the final round? Is something wrong with Nigeria?

Same question I have been asking myself here. What kind of gambling is that. Its not like the man that ran against women even gave them like 200m of clear space before handing over the baton. Just madness.

According to Andrew Randa three Plateau United players have signed 3 year contracts with Sevan FC of Armenia. I thought Pinick said he wouldn't allow such moves.

It was all talk. He frowns upon such moves but he doesn't have the power to stop them from happening

Everything is not gloom and doom our 100 meter athletes Blessing and Nkwokocha ran well and qualified for the semis. Okagbare ran a good time despite easing up towards the end. Nwokocha who looks a successor to Blessing ran a personal best of 11.00 which is very good just a matter of time before she dips below 11 seconds. Okagbare still has the best chance of making the finals of the two. She has been given a good lane (Lane 5) in the semis let's just see how it goes.

i saw the ease with which okagbare ran. despite that we still need to go to the drawing board. baring injury to the other top athletes from usa, Jamaica and ivory coast i doubt if she can win a medal. i see she has slimmed down, which is equally good for her.

She eased up because she is running a heat. Her time has already qualified her. Even Frazer pryce ran 10:89. That time will not win any medal should she repeat it in finals.

How are parents responsible for the Nigerian Olympic committee not observing Covid protocol or is there something I'm missing?

Yeah you are right but hopefully the energy she has conserved should help her for the semis. One thing about the heats is you don't want to go and run a sub 11 time and burn yourself out but I agree Frazer Pryce is a different beast. I believe Blessing can reliable do sub 11s maybe not always back to back hopefully she saves that for the semis.

Yeah she looks better physically and more relaxed. We shouldn't put her under pressure. Like you rightly said she's not the favorite hopefully that will help her zone in to run her best ever race.

What is wrong with the ministry of sport.
So not only the athletes are complaining, even the table tennis players also, how can you withdraw a player coach during a tournament and you expect the player to do well.
Who does that, I just love it that all of them are beginning to speak up.

Na wa ooo so you trying to exonerate the sport minister from blame or pass to the blame to even the athlete parents Sometimes it is good we say the truth. Dalung was criticised for this same act years back so i don't see the reason why Dare shouldn't take the blame this time around....

The money budgeted for this Olympics and considering the fact that edo national festival took place months ago speaks volume... the talents discovered from that sports festival ought to be harnessed and prepared for this Olympics and blend them with their foreign counterparts

And the ministry of sports will allow things esacalte to the point where athletes will protest at the Olympics games village of more than a thousand people from others countries, shame no da catch this people at all. And most of those disqualified athletes are even college students from the states, and you think next time they will be willing to fly your colours.
Encourage grassroots sports mbah, oya provide a good platform for those staying outside the country that are willing to represent you na, them no gree.
Which kind shithole country wer God carry me come throw put like this.
