Yeah you are right but hopefully the energy she has conserved should help her for the semis. One thing about the heats is you don't want to go and run a sub 11 time and burn yourself out but I agree Frazer Pryce is a different beast. I believe Blessing can reliable do sub 11s maybe not always back to back hopefully she saves that for the semis.

Sub 11 is not the problem. Everybody will run sub 11 at finals. I'm looking at 10.7

And the ministry of sports will allow things esacalte to the point where athletes will protest at the Olympics games village of more than a thousand people from others countries, shame no da catch this people at all. And most of those disqualified athletes are even college students from the states, and you think next time they will be willing to fly your colours.
Encourage grassroots sports mbah, oya provide a good platform for those staying outside the country that are willing to represent you na, them no gree.
Which kind shithole country wer God carry me come throw put like this.

I weak bro
Just recently leon balogun revealed the challenges they've been facing so it is all sport sectors. The presidency should be blamed for this all this while the president and his party see sport ministry as a portfolio that should b given to party faithfuls and politicians who know nada when it comes to sports development and growth..... they see this position of being sport minister as an avenue to boast their political pedigree and not to harness sports development and growth. I am just ashamed

I'm having this ominous feeling that this Olympics disaster is an omen of what's to come with our football team in the World Cup qualifiers.

It seems that every aspect of Nigerian life is crashing down and our sports seem to not be an exception.

I hope I'm wrong, but I won't hold my breath.

If it was a sane country the chairman of this Olympic committee should be jailed and the other members probed

Lol. Nigeria is currently very poor. It's just that the government is not admitting it. Oil revenue is going down drastically due to IOCs scaling down and opening of new markets. It's not all corruption. Corruption was worse in the 80s but we were not this bad, corruption has even reduced. Covid also made things worse. All parasitic public sector agencies are currently feeling the heat. See NFF and the sports ministry have little money at their disposal and that's what is leading to all this. Forget budget, budget doesn't equate to money. Nigeria is struggling to fund her budget. We're looking for what to sell up and down. Why do you think they are scrambling for forex left and right?

The only people that will survive this country now are people that know how to make their own money. If you wait for government, you wait forever. Sorry to all the athletes and sportspeople

But Dessers' style of play (evident in the equaliser) better suits Genk.

Dessers assists again.
