I think what he had in mind was that, a fit Osimhen being in the squad to play any team is not supposed to be news. It is something expected normally.

Don’t fear the German league for our players

Most of you are using osimhen struggle to judge our players going to the German league entirely ,as for me osimhen was only having injury issues and the kid just clocked 18 then and with little game time

Awoniyi and ujah has done averagely there and not bad ,so leipzig will be a good move for a talented player like chukwueze

Una call German league farmers league but una still Dey fear for our players wey Dey go there

Chukwueze will do better than Laliga if he goes to the German league ,and a Lille move is also not bad

Remember people opinion about our players going to Porto ? When I said our players that has played for Porto are not good enough to start there some people disagree ,we can all see that zaidu sanusi is doing well there and he is a starter

If zaidu sanusi has met Alex telles at Porto he won’t be a starter and the beer parlour talk that Porto doesn’t like naija player will continue when we all know telles is a better player than zaidu

DTS my tot too...we have d same similar climatic condition in north east ,y can't we achieve d same feat as d Kenyans ,Ethiopians and co

Same thing with d ilajes...d same old fable stories we use to hear abt d ilajes of escaping/evading arrest by staying inside d water for three days grin grin ,yet we dont get to win any medal in swimming @ d Olympics b4,going by d stories of d ilajes...abi na lie grin

Doing swimming in River and running 5000 meters as a hobby is different from real competitions.

Either the government ( both FG and state ) or private sector invests in infrastructure for this other sports and holds age grade competitions/leagues at least twice a year that will last for at least 4 weeks then don't expect such talents to be harnessed because a lot of Nigerian athletes sponsor themselves.

Another method is private companies can sponsor those already sponsoring themselves to encourage them.

I'm saying private companies because both State and FG may not pay them on time or at all.

this Olympics is really one kind not that it's time we've had awful games but the avoidable drama with this one is just too much.
realistically our best medal prospects are still in with a shout but I don't know again because anything with the slightest potential to go wrong has gone wrong
Please who are the best medal prospects?

I was wondering too. Is a normal human being not meant to have growth hormone?

At this stage, even Usain bolt too should be worried because we can just hear one morning that all his medals have been collected because of one hormone like that.

Nigeria is not a sporting country. We are just pretenders, you can't claim to be a proud sporting nation and all you can boast of is a paltry all time record of 2gold medals at the Olympics.
As it stands we are unlikely to add any medal of any color at this games. Just like we returned zero medals at the London Olympics. Our bloated egos won't let us admit the obvious.

What are you expecting divine Oduduru and Brume to win?

Okagbare is our biggest talent here. She's currently rated among world bests. did you see how she ran that heat without stress? She had a good chance of stealing bronze as Richardson was banned. As Okagbare too is out, even Iron medal we no go see

Ese Brume the high jumper she has one of the leading jumps of the year a Nigerian and African record of 7.17. If she can repeat it she will medal. Amusan in the 100 metre hurdles one of the best in the field she's not the outright favorite but with luck she can medal. The female wrestlers one of them is top ranked in her weight category so there's still a slim chance of medalling

Nigeria is a sporting country... the problem is lack of infrastructure and yearly age grade competitions in other sports apart from football...

If Parents A like having children and not sending them to school then when they are adults Parents A starts to complain that the children are not productive when the gov:t or private sector fails to provide jobs for unskilled workers due to lack of infrastructure.

or

Parents B have children and send them to school then when they are adults they can't get jobs and Parents B starts to complain that the children are not productive when the gov:t or private sector fails to provide jobs for skilled workers due to lack of infrastructure..

Sports is a Job and most athletes start before they are 12 years old and have sponsors and sports academies that supports them from when they were 12 years old till they retire...

Messi joined a football club when he was 4 years old... how many Nigerians have their 4 years olds in sporting clubs or academies and how many academies are even available for them
