As of July 6, the backlog of permanent residence applications had skyrocketed by 70 per cent to 375,137 since February 2020, with the number of applications for temporary residence currently sitting at 702,660 cases. The backlog of citizenship applications has also ballooned: it’s reached 369,677 people from 208,069 over the same period. These numbers do not include the applications that have been received at the mailroom of immigration offices but which have yet to be entered into the system. Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by lawfree638: 7:10pm On Aug 01, 2021 |
atiteb4: I feel same too but even Kenya (Nairobi) does not totally or rather have control over a single application. For instance, an application case analyst or junior V.O is in Nairobi, the 'said' Senior V.O of your application is in second office (London or Windsor). So if the case analyst has done his/her part, it will remain the SVO. That's why you see some GCMS note, eligibility passed or recommend interview will wait for days or weeks even months before a final verdict is released. The process is just too decentralised hence the delay. We hope they remedy it soon enough. 2 Likes |

Hi everyone! Nice job here. I'm impressed. Pls, I nees a response from the gurus @frankrobbn @ shuppy and others, in fact, everyone. I've been refused, anf I plan to reapply asap. My mum's acct is 10m. I have 4 big brothers, and 2 baby sisters. The 4 brothers are business men, 2 sisters recently finished their university education. 3 among the brothers are not in good terms with my mum. I mean they don't talk for the past 3 yrs. 2 baby sisters also don't value my mum. So, should I explain that in my SOP? With 10m in mum's acct, is it okay for the application, considering the fact that I have 2 baby sisters which the VO might consider still under my mum. Now, the eldest and the 3rd are taking care of the 2 sisters in lagos. The second guy is in good terms with mum. The fourth is not. How do I prove that the 2 sisters are no longer in my mum's care? Remember, I've paid my tuition deposit of 8160 cad. Remember, due to the ongoing predicament in my family, I cannot provide proof that my sisters are done with their university education. Tnx in advance for your response. |

Dear All, please who can help me order GCMS notes? I need help please!!! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by lawfree638: 7:28pm On Aug 01, 2021 |
Legacyedition: In a recent GCMS notes I saw, application was transferred to different office 15 times due to workload (stated on the note) - May till July 20th. During this period, many secondary offices will change. The primary office is constant except on rare occasions. Our prayers is that we will share a testimony of success in this process. As I have been saying; There's a God factor in this process whether you acknowledge or not. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Jioke1994: Do not bother about mentioning this to the VO, its personal and dont think it will do much. stick to why you should be granted a visa... Your mum can sponsor you but you will also need to include your own bank account with at least the living expense while the tuition can be in your moms. Also include proof of funds for your mum. Your sister are graduates and can be assumed by the VO are working so, dont worry much about them and how they will be taken care of by your mum. Furthermore, mention your siblings in your application as it will add value to your hometies aside employment and inheritable assets When did you graduate and what do you do currently? lawfree638: Is true. In my note, it was 12times if am not mistaken. From Nairobi to London to china to Nairobi and back to China and bla bla bla back and forth. But the funny thing about it is that, after all the travel that my application did, eligibility never even start. Is just funny but then I strongly believe it will surely end in praises for all of us. Amen. 3 Likes |

Ketima: Is your eligibility blank on the note? If it's blank you can also know by checking the notes & verification pages to see if any action as regards eligibility has occurred. "Notes" on GCMS note could be like 4-5 actions (one or two is always pointing to eligibility). At times, the first page might be blank and eligibility has started. |

@lekibobo, @shupy, @frankborn, @justmellow and everyone else Please all, I applied for student visa with my family Accompanying me (spouse and 2 kids, ages 4 and 2) in Feb (which was my first mistake) and got refusal letter in June, my sister is the sponsor who promised to give us 35k USD + 5k USD bank draft and she also paid half of my tuition fee, I also presented 400k in my statement of account We were refused based on personal assets and financial status. Though my gcms note is yet to arrive and I want to differ the admission and reapply for January resumption. How can I go about this. PLEASE HELP! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Ketima: 8:18pm On Aug 01, 2021 |
lawfree638: Yes sir. First page eligibility and pre-assessment both blank, but all others are either completed or passed. As for the bolded, don't know because have read through the whole pages. Saw notes on medicals. For info sharing, saw countries it was shared with. But as regards to eligibility, can't remember seeing anything mentioning eligibility except for the blank first Page. Even the MBS I submitted through webform and email that no acknowledgement mail was sent, I saw it there. |

[quote author=ilovelearning post=104311834] Please can I reach out to you as regards this, so you connect me to your "connect" that can assist with mine. I am currently in Lagos. I also need assistance in getting my transcript to be sent outside the country but I also want to have a copy myself, so I don't have to be requesting from UNIBEN everytime for it. Please kindly reply, thanks. You can send me a mail. 1 Like |

Tnx a lot 4 ur response @Anon123, though I don't understand what u mean by My 2kobo I should've graduated in 2018, but I left school in 2017 due to some family issues, and I have my transcript to show that. I've been assisting in my mum's business since I left school. Another question, pls. I used my uncle as the main sponsor in the refused app, and mum as d co-sponsor. Remember: First app says that my uncle paid for my tuition deposit. Now, I don't feel like using my Uncle again. Is it ok? Should I now state in this second app that my mum paid for my tuition deposit. Is it a red flag? Secondly, since I assist in my mum's business, should I also include it as home tie, apart 4rm landed properties and family. My program is B.A of Arts...English.
