I really want guru who are in united state to help me with this information please. A friend of mine who is doing his master's in Canada finds it tough to pay his tuition fees, accommodation and other living expenses, even with his part time job. And his tuition fees is 14k CAD.

However, this 40k, 50k USD fees even after tuition fees waiver, some total tuition fees still remains 25k usd. am really curious about how would one pay the tuition fees, when we all sincerely know that 60% of people traveling are sponsoring themselves.
Are people dropping out of university?

Even with 1k USD dollar job per month can't still balance the 25-50k USD.

Please I just want more understanding before taking a step or advicing any other person

He can apply to mpower financing loan. Initial loan is 25k. Total is 50k. That will help. Read about them first and u can call them. Good luck.

sorry for your denial, The VO was not convinced how a degree in IT will enhance your business, work on your response and give a detailed answer how this degree will help in your career, not this generic answer you gave.

Ok

V.O: Good morning, pass me your i20 and passport.
ME: I did.
V.O: Oh you're going to kentucky?
ME: Yes
V.O: what do you do?
ME: I'm a fashion designer
V.O: Do you sew or sell
ME: I sew and sell
V.O: oh great, So why IT
ME: I Want to incorporate it to my business for growth since IT helps business grow through data collection and customer database
V.O: Who's sponsoring
ME: my cousin
V.O: typing....... then reached out for the blue paper with my passport and handed it over [/quote]

I got this response to my interview date emergency request in Lagos. Please what does it imply?

'Your case has been updated, please log back into your account to view the details'

I was expecting a response that says 'your request is approved'.

Hello guys,

Please I need everyone view on this.

Please assist to make possible corrections on my proposed interview as it's my first time

Gurus please assist..
Thank you all as I wait here for your resposes.

Vo: why or what's your purpose in USA/ Travel plan.
Me: I'm going to the US to pursue my masters degree in social work at Morgan state university in Baltimore.
Vo: why this course?
Me: caring for people especially the vulnerables has always been my passion and what I love to do. I've decided to master in social work as it tend to turn my passion into a profession.
Vo: what's your study plan?
Me: I would be offering just 4 courses in my first semester and a total of 60 credit for the 24 month course with a field practicum which last 16 hours a week. Part of my courses would be GENERALIST SOCIAL WORK PRACTISE, SOCIAL WELFARE & URBAN ECONOMICS, and RESEARCH AND URBAN SOCIAL PROBLEMS..
Vo: Why did you choose this school?
Me: the Cost of Attendance is quite affordable compare to other schools. And also the school offers graduate internship within the two years of study.it has a strong collaboration with various industries which I think would help harness the skills and knowledge to transform what is thought in class to practical use.
Vo: what will this course do for you?
Me: this degree would equip me with the skills and knowledge i need to be a successful social worker..it would prepare for a better position In NGOs I've volunteered for and government agencies upon my return to Nigeria.
Vo: what's your plan after graduation/ what's this degree do for you?
Me: As I've said earlier, upon the completion of my course, in intend returning to nigeria to work with gov/ private institutions to improve or ameliorate the well-being of vulnerable Nigerians, then later start my own NGO which will focus children with specific health challenges such as children with hoes on the heart and many more.
Vo: who would be sponsoring your program?
Me:y Aunt will be sponsoring my Cost of Attendance while myself and my dad would be handling the Living Expenses.
Vo: what doest your Aunt do?
Me: she's a nurse in the Uk.
Vo: Are you married?
Me: not yet but I've a fiancee who works as a nurse in a govt. General hospital.
Vi: have you travelled before?
Me: No
Vo: where do you work/ what do you do?
Me: I currently work in a bank but uses my weekends and leave for my volunteering work..
Vo: so why the change of career?
Me: I have never wanted to be a banker but I had to pick it up as the job offer came as an opportunity..so I decided to take it and save-up to prepare myself for my career goal and objectives in social work.

Again I'm not an expert on Visa interviews as I haven't had mine but please review your work ties and take advantage of it. VOs want to see that the degree you're pursuing will improve your career, no matter what it is you currently do.

Saying that you don't plan on continuing your current job is a red flag no matter how you explain it, as that turns a potential strength (present work place/career) into a weakness (abandoning current career - will not return).

Instead, what bank do you work at? What social programs do they currently have or plan to begin in the future? Do you plan to participate in those programs? Will this degree qualify you to spear head such programs and foster career progression?

See what I did there? Please don't say you're changing your career. That turns your strength into a weakness. Show how your passion for social work will help you lead community social programs that your bank is planning for the future or currently performing.

For those applying for emergency request, asides from SEVIS fee receipt, it is also important to have completed your DS-160 form and submitted. Also attach the confirmation to the required documents.

I submitted and attached the I-20 without the confirmation page. Will this affect it

I don't know whether it would hurt you to say it or not, but I would just say 'no' with a huge smile.

Hello guys. I have a quick question. How does one view the submitted information on the ds-160 form. I just one to cross check and verify if i put in the right info in a delicate section. Is it possible and advisable to use the existing application number to create a new application for the ds-160 just to check and review some information without submitting? Will this affect the already submitted data somehow. Pls I’d appreciate any help on this. I just want to view and cross check info on the ds160 website for an already submitted application and i have already booked my appointment

People will help advise you better if you included what your undergrad program is and how long ago you graduated, also, what and what you have been doing since then. Goodluck

I would say head defers! Some get to school get assistantship most especially in the STEM programs through some research works with profs. Others go through installment payments by that work their ass out. That is why you need to get people who you can follow through paths. Once you arrived you can get some sort of scholarships that would waive chunk of the tuition. Besides, graduate school is well funded in the states than Canada so graduate students have more options for funding. That is why people here advise graduate school more than undergraduate. Yankee is a place of opportunities, once you arrive, keep your heart and sights at greatness, you will be covered!

E-brethren, good day to y'all, GRE is giving me headache especially Quant, my first attempt wasn't good (288) so I'm trying to go again due to my low GPA (2.92/4 Wes Official) Biochemistry. Have already written TOEFL-99. please is Manhattan GRE maths strategy one of the good materials out there? That's what I'm currently using for Quant and I kinda of feel comfortable with it, what do you people advice both based on acing GRE and best schools, have been doing my own research though but any additional information will be invaluable. regards y'all.
