Good morning my leaders in the house .

Please I need your advise at this juncture.

I have B.Sc Economics 2:1...Msc Econs and I applied for an MBA for career progression...
I have applied for my permit since May 13th, though I was able to do my biometrics and got it updated on the 19th of May, did my medicals on the 11th of May as well. Both bio and med have been updated and passed since 19th of May.

I submitted Ielts, 4 months my banks statement, one 9.5m from my personal account in first bank and 6m fixed deposit certificate from an access joint account with my wife.

I also submitted consent letter from wify, My employment letter, pay slip, letter of intro from my organisation and lots more

I submitted police clearance certificate and even paid 11,000 CAD apart from the 15.5m I submitted as my POF.

I attached the landed properties I have in 3 major states in Nigeria and some house documents too.

I didn't get NSE request....and even till now now even a single ghost update.

Should I order for another mybankstatement from January to August??

What should I do cos am bit worried my people .

Kindly speak as your advise here gives us a lot of courage .

My resumption is 26th Sept...Newbrunswick

Your application is definitely well packaged, just relax, order for your note and expect your PPR.

What's the content of the consent letter from your wife?

Pls help

Pls gurus in the house,

I am in the process of applying for my Student Visa. I got a PGD admission for supply chain management. I currently work with my brothers company as a sales person, hes also the one sponsoring me. Is it advisable I use my mum as a co sponsor ( I plan on doing that) or stick to using my brother alone, since the SOP will state that hes sponsoring me so I can come back to Nigeria to handle greater aspects of the company.[/quote]

quote author=funmihero post=104349018]Hi all,

It’s my first time dropping a message here. I just want to share our timeline to encourage someone as I have been encouraged.
Admission: My husband(40years) got a PhD position, Uni. of Manitoba.

Location: Sweden on post-study resident permit as at the time we submitted our application, with 2 kids.
Application submitted: June 13th
Biometrics: June 21st
Medicals: Not required
Visa Approved: July 26th, no update on our applications till approval date

Documents submitted:

HUBBY: Letter of Admission
LOE: 6pages, well organized in short topics, with emphases on academic history. We both started our education in Nigeria in a scarce profession (2002) at the diploma level. He finished his first degree at OAU, Ile-Ife, 2010 through DE, we both finished our masters, last year June in Sweden, fully sponsored. He leveraged the non-availability of the course in Nigeria and 95% of African countries (at graduate levels) as a strong link to Nija and Africa and prospect back home. We added links to the latest advert for our profession in academics that there are no qualified persons to fill up. And several other links to how we have been contributing to the development of our profession in Nigeria.

POF: Approximately 65k CAD, account in naira (salary and savings account) and Swedish kronor, CAC certificate of a newly established company (late last year, with no financial transaction), a letter of support from his cousin who committed to offering her basement for our accommodation and a spare car for transportation, no properties, or assets.
Certificates: All relevant certificates and the scholarship certificate from Sweden, IELTS, CV.
Family document form: All our siblings are still in Nigeria, both sides.
IELTS
MYSELF
LOE: Corroborated our academic history, attached pictures from 2002 and recent family pics. Stated we put our funds together for hubby’s academic pursuit (because I did not make any affidavit for the lump sum I deposited in his account, but I wrote a description in the transaction, stating for “Ph.D. project support”. I mentioned how we have supported each other’s dreams and our successes in completing our masters at the same time despite we have 2 young children. I mentioned that the kids have never lived apart from either of us and we are excited that Canada is very proactive in encouraging family unity. We sha promise to leave the country when hubby’s study is done, etc
Certificates: Hubby’s admission letter and all relevant certificates, IELTS, CV
Travel history: Studied in India and returned immediately after. Yes, we mentioned that we stayed back in Sweden because we decided to put our family’s health and safety first….corona virus restrictions, etc.

Children: 7 and 4 years, we submitted the basic documents required with no extra attachment.

Above all, God’s grace prevailed. We know we couldn’t prove how we will continue to sustain ourselves, but we submitted in faith.
I wish everyone the best in this new month.

Hi, if you mom has a strong bank account too, then why not? The more the merrier. Just get a letter of financial support from her too. The more sponsorship and funds you can show the better.

The case analyst is done with your file - hence why you see review required.

The file is now with the said senior V.O which the final decision lies.

Most GCMS notes that came in this week with Recommend interview and Review required are with the Senior V.O(s) to make a final decision.

So, my brother, I'm believing in positive feedback for you on or before Aug 6.
Wow .I pray so God will make it happen

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Davidganna10: 7:16pm On Aug 02, 2021
So today I had a heated argument with a friend, who happens to be freelancer turn cryptocurrency trader and sports gambler with about $38k(USD) portfolio to his name. this my friend, is of the opinion that he can sponsor his self for a one year PGD in Canada by just showing his trading history without being CAC registered.

Now my arguments are these:
1) Visa officer will want to know the source of income, and to my understanding crypto or gambling income is not viewed as a strong income stream because of its volatility.
2) He graduated since 2016 (5years gap).
3) have never work for any organization since graduation.
4) No physical business to show home tie. Although, he have some landed property and an ongoing building project.

I want to know from the gurus here whether he can self sponsor, taking into cognisance the points I listed above.

Concerning power of attorney I have one for a fenced property. But the property is not registered with ministry of lands. Will it be honoured, or the land must be registered before they can recognize it

Power of attorney does not convey ownership, it’s a representative capacity, it cannot serve as your property.

You have already said it yourself.
Gambling and crypto are not a reliable source of income. Crypto fluctuates and gambling has the tendency of loosing the entire fund. So such business is highly risky.
Based on his TIE to home, since he has landed propertyand building, that one is cool but not a guarantee.

Secondly, his career progression is not good enough. How can u convince the VO that u have not being doing anything related to ur career since he graduated. That doesn't show a progress.

Thirdly, no working experience since 5 years, not a good one. The gap is too much. Even if he is making money , there is no business to prove such income.

The VISA officer will assume the fund is was gotten from an unknown source.
