Not a red flag in anyway. It's a good one since fund is sufficient.

Okay.
That’s a relief.
Thank you so much

Next I'll like to appreciate the entire Nairaland family for the show of love. Omohh e no easy. My heart is full of so much gratitude to every single one of you.

Ending of April no funny for me atall
Robbed on April 25
Application denied on April 27.
It was even more painful as I had to view it on my PC screen. The thing just bold for my face. cry

Hehe
Regardless, I give all the glory to God. It was a really long wait, and it was worth every single second of it.
Thank You to everyone here who in one way or the other contributed to my application.

Here's my Timeline.

Got admitted to Uom to study International Business in October, 2020

Application Submitted - Dec 16
Biometrics completed - Dec 22
NSE Request Letter - Dec 24
Upfront Medicals. - March 24
Medicals Updated. - April 12
Letter of Refusal. - April 27

My application was processed via the normal route. I was denied based on Personal Assets blah blah, cos I know I finished them with my SOP godi. grin

I'm back now and willing to help as many as I can on this journey or lemme just say application grin
I'm willing to go through as many SOPs as I can.
I'm ready to answer as many questions as possible.
Let's all get involved in any little way we can.
For Charles Dickens says, "No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another"

My advice to everyone who's yet to apply or waiting for a decision?
Please do not be scared. I know it sounds impossible but on the long run you'll discover your fear and worry doesn't change anything.
If your application was denied, don't give up too. Keep refiring until you hit your target.

I wish everyone awaiting PPR good news in the shortest possible time.

Believe me when I say this..

It will end in Praises!

Welcome back

Good morning guys.

So I stumbled on a video by a Nigerian who's currently studying in Canada.

This guy got admitted into a the University of Manitoba before paying tuition fees.

He also got in without IELTS.

Here's the link to the video: https:///Canada-student-visa

Hi all,

It’s my first time dropping a message here. I just want to share our timeline to encourage someone as I have been encouraged.
Admission: My husband(40years) got a PhD position, Uni. of Manitoba.

Location: Sweden on post-study resident permit as at the time we submitted our application, with 2 kids.
Application submitted: June 13th
Biometrics: June 21st
Medicals: Not required
Visa Approved: July 26th, no update on our applications till approval date

Documents submitted:

HUBBY: Letter of Admission
LOE: 6pages, well organized in short topics, with emphases on academic history. We both started our education in Nigeria in a scarce profession (2002) at the diploma level. He finished his first degree at OAU, Ile-Ife, 2010 through DE, we both finished our masters, last year June in Sweden, fully sponsored. He leveraged the non-availability of the course in Nigeria and 95% of African countries (at graduate levels) as a strong link to Nija and Africa and prospect back home. We added links to the latest advert for our profession in academics that there are no qualified persons to fill up. And several other links to how we have been contributing to the development of our profession in Nigeria.

POF: Approximately 65k CAD, account in naira (salary and savings account) and Swedish kronor, CAC certificate of a newly established company (late last year, with no financial transaction), a letter of support from his cousin who committed to offering her basement for our accommodation and a spare car for transportation, no properties, or assets.
Certificates: All relevant certificates and the scholarship certificate from Sweden, IELTS, CV.
Family document form: All our siblings are still in Nigeria, both sides.
IELTS
MYSELF
LOE: Corroborated our academic history, attached pictures from 2002 and recent family pics. Stated we put our funds together for hubby’s academic pursuit (because I did not make any affidavit for the lump sum I deposited in his account, but I wrote a description in the transaction, stating for “Ph.D. project support”. I mentioned how we have supported each other’s dreams and our successes in completing our masters at the same time despite we have 2 young children. I mentioned that the kids have never lived apart from either of us and we are excited that Canada is very proactive in encouraging family unity. We sha promise to leave the country when hubby’s study is done, etc
Certificates: Hubby’s admission letter and all relevant certificates, IELTS, CV
Travel history: Studied in India and returned immediately after. Yes, we mentioned that we stayed back in Sweden because we decided to put our family’s health and safety first….corona virus restrictions, etc.

Children: 7 and 4 years, we submitted the basic documents required with no extra attachment.

Above all, God’s grace prevailed. We know we couldn’t prove how we will continue to sustain ourselves, but we submitted in faith.
I wish everyone the best in this new month.

This one sweet o,
Congratulations to you and the whole family ma

Hi everyone, Please i need clarification on something. I applied with a gifted sum of money, i was gifted the sum of money for my study permit and its been in my account for a while now. since IRCC has refused to answer me for like 3 months now. Can i use part of the money cause this money has just been sitting in my account without any active use.

Kindly advice

You surely can,the officers don't have access to the current balance in your account.

At the same time, it's a bit risky, because in some instances they might request for an updated statement of account.
It hardly happen though, but to be on a safe side, it's better to wait it out.

Just my thought

The reason why this group has been silent is because several WhatsApp groups have been created thereby rendering the purpose of this great thread useless... Almost everybody is in one group or the other, and such people will prefer asking questions in that group than bringing their questions here for the knowledgeable people to answer and also for newbies to learn....

Just imagine if all the Gurus are in these WhatsApp groups, thereby making them inactive here, who will be giving answers to the many questions being asked here by the newbies or if everybody here is in a group, will there be anything like GURUS?

Frank is considered the most senior Guru here presently, he got almost all what he knew about Canada Visa application from these thread and other Canada travel threads coupled with his personal research..

I remembered when I also joined this thread in 2017, I knew just 20% of the Canada study process, now with all humility I can say I know so much about these Canadian study permit, all thanks to the information on this thread and also my personal research..

So for those of you creating several groups for your own personal gain or for some other reasons, you are not helping the newbies that are coming here for their questions and also there wont be upcoming gurus who will wanna volunteer to help people here with their questions..

For those of you creating whatsapp/Telegram groups for the same purpose of this thread, apart from the groups for same schools or same course,

You are indirectly killing this thread...

This particular set of 2020/2021, Una Group too much, you guys should just relax, cos your testimony is sure..

It will end in praise..

Pls gurus in the house,

I am in the process of applying for my Student Visa. I got a PGD admission for supply chain management. I currently work with my brothers company as a sales person, hes also the one sponsoring me. Is it advisable I use my mum as a co sponsor ( I plan on doing that) or stick to using my brother alone, since the SOP will state that hes sponsoring me so I can come back to Nigeria to handle greater aspects of the company.

The thought of a co-sponsor comes to play when a sponsor is not financially buoyant enough.

If your brother is,then there's no point adding mum, but if not , don't hesitate to add mum.
It will end in praise

It won't hurt your application in any anyway if you have 2 sponsors.

Hope the sales job is related to the intended course. Otherwise, do not mention you are a sales person
