Does anyone know what happened to the arrangement between NFF and AITEO. Something obviously went wrong because if it was still on then NFF should not owe salaries.

Onyekuru included in Olympiakos Champions League squad against Ludogorets this evening.

He's had just one training session with them: Yesterday afternoon.

Also Onuachu included in Genk's UCL Sqaud against Shahktar Donetsk, might likely start.

I think it was for a period of 5 years which had passed, plus it's the sport minister that said he will pay the coach salary for him to continue

It was from 2017 so technically it's 2022 for the deal to end.

I think we underestimate the impact Covid had on businesses. The Oil sector in which Aiteo is a big player was severely hit. Not that it's an excuse for the NFF because by default they ought to be attracting billions of naira in sponsorship from various companies not just relying on Aiteo or FG.

I'm very impressed with the low losses Akwa had. I trust there is money to strengthen positions so as to compete on the continent

Let's just see because players were sold even during this campaign. The coach even said he was not sure if the club wanted to go all the way for CAF or not. I think that was a slick way of telling the club they need to invest and I just hope they got the message.

I just don't want to see Kano Pillars on the continent! Akwa, Enyimba, Rivers Utd & I'd manage Nasarawa (Really wish it were Kwara)

What's the last fixture looking like for them?

Kwara can go as high as number 2 everyone above them is on the road.

The Samuel Kalu to Fenerbache report is all rumour.

His manager, D'Avilla, is trying to attract suitors.

Population full everywhere, girls dey measure how big their backside is, boys dey count how many girls dem don count and how long they last in bed. Maybe we go push for sex as part of sports in Olympics, then Nigerians go use basket pack medals.
75th indeed, even Fiji wey no reach 100k dey on top.

I'm the last person here that will do that. It really hit the Oil and Gas sector hard due to massive reduction in transports. Even now things have not returned to pre covid levels. Maybe that's what affected Aiteo. They might even pull out because NFF is yielding nothing for them.

Flying Eagles midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has said he is delighted to score for Watford in pre-season training after he had to endure “difficult” 10 months sidelined by a long-term injury.

Dele-Bashiru hit target for Watford U23s and played 30 minutes against St.Albans City.

“It was a great feeling being back out there again, doing what I love,” said a happy Dele-Bashiru.

“These past 10 months have been really difficult. I’ve been working really hard in the gym, trying to improve myself day-by-day so that I can get back out on the pitch. So I was really happy to get back out there.

“I was happy to get the goal as well. I was very, very happy to score. The type of player I want to be, I want to score goals and assist goals, so it was a good feeling to score on my return after such a long time out.”

Victor Osimhen is again firing on full cylinders in pre-season and his coach at Napoli has now given him some useful tips to help him maintain his red-hot form when the new Serie A season gets underway soon.

Napoli record signing Osimhen scored 10 goals in his debut season in Italy after overcoming injury and Coronavirus infection.

New Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti is known to have brought out the best in strikers like Eden Dzeko and he is expected to do same with Osimhen now.

However, the experienced coach has already told his Nigeria striker he can score a lot more goals, but first he needs to cut down on the amount of running he does in a game.

“He is player who gives everything in a game, who runs a lot and every now and again this running can cause him (to make) some mistakes, but he is an important player, complete, and we count a lot on him,” Spalletti remarked.

Osimhen has so far netted seven goals in the build-up to the new season.
