Hello guys, I got an offer from Griffith College sometime last month and by this week my tuition fees should be paid in full by my sponsor's bank. Apparently, the next logical step for me is my visa application. However, I have some questions: - Is it too late to apply for a visa? It takes an average of 6 - 8 weeks for visa processing and my programme starts on the 20th of September. - After skimming through this thread, it is evident that accommodation is one of the major challenges faced by every prospective student (especially those opting to study in Dublin). Staying in one of the halls of residence provided by Griffith College seems like an expensive option. Also, staying within Dublin City Center is yet another expensive option. I have looked at the map of Ireland and I found out that there are suburbs scattered around Dublin. These places are highlighted on the map attached to this post. Is it feasible to live in any of these highlighted areas and commute to school via train? Which of these options is my best bet - school accommodation, accommodation within Dublin, or highlighted suburbs? - Can I use my naira debit card (our everyday ATM card) to pay for my medical insurance on studyandprotect.com? - I was oblivious of the fact that the Irish Embassy requires proof of English Language proficiency and no applicant is exempted from this. Since I require one urgently, how feasible is it to prepare for and take the Duolingo English Test within 3 - 5 days? Can my naira debit card be used to pay for the test? - Will the services of an agent make the visa application process less stressful for me? Thanks for your anticipated answers and contributions.

I will answer the question on English language. I took the Duolingo test also and I didn't make any hard preparation, and I got 140/160. You just need to know the type of questions they do ask. Just take the practice test a couple of times and you're good to go. I trust you will get more that 75/160. You can pay using your Naira debit card, just $49. Goodluck Yasiin: 1 Like |

I'd take the one on Medical Insurance. Unfortunately, you cannot use your naira card to make this payment as it exceeds the $100 monthly cap. You can get someone who uses a dorm account and use the person's card to initiate this payment or you ask someone with an international card to get it done for you. Cheers Yasiin: 1 Like |

First, Congrats on your admission. Yes .. the next logical step is visa applicationbut not without having the basic requirements. So I would advise you get them all within this week and next. possibly you then apply for your visa and make sure you try to submit before 15th August jst so as to still be able to meet up. The truth is no one can answer if its too late or not for you. You just give it a try and be swift with your actions. I feel you just have to worry less for now as regards the accommodation as you will definitelyhave it figure out before your visa arrives. Yes, you can use your naira master debit card to make payment if your medical insurance. I used it for mine a month ago. Also, as @allcollectionz rightly said you don't need much preparations for the duolingo english test. It's something you can easily pass. But please make sure your screen is in full mode when writing the test so as to avoid story that touch of not been certified. You can use your naira debit card to pay. I personally do not think you need the service of an agent as I believe nothing much can be done by them in your absence. So it's still bores down to you doing the majority. I hope this helps Best wishes Yasiin: 1 Like |

See eh… To be honest with you. MBA in Cloud Computing will not do much good without a first degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering or maybe a MSc in one of these. OR at least 5years and above in core practice of these. This MBA in Cloud Computing is for management practice. And here in Ireland to get hired into management role as a new immigrant requires that your skills are exceptional. So like someone has advised… go for the harder software masters program. You stand a better chance of getting a job there….. They are all IT but an MBA is for team leaders, supervisors, managers and above. Except you are already well rounded in Core IT like Dev Ops, AI, Machine learning, Cybersecurity, Cloud Infrastructure, IAM etc…then MBA in Cloud Computing will shoot you to the skies.. Best of luck.
