I don't know about you but you can walk into a hardware store anywhere in America and come out with a full military regalia including ranks and medals. Secondly, no one joins the US Army unless you're a permanent US resident. Pere came to America in 2009 according to him, he got his naturalization in 2010. How? Please note that there's a difference between PR/Green card and Naturalization/Citizenship.

It was possible to be naturalized after a year of ACTIVE military service in the US. A lot of our folks took advantage of it back in the days, however, that wasn't the case for Pere because he had just arrived the US in 2009. It's either he made a mistake on the dates or he could be lying.

Let's assume that Pere has an American relation who sponsored his PR status from his home country or he won the US Visa lottery. His PR would have been processed after he got to the US and it usually takes between 8 - 12 months. He has to apply to the US Army, undergo basic training and draft which also takes between 1 year or more depending on the Unit of the Army you applied to. You must also have served ACTIVELY for a minimum of 1 year before you're considered forr naturalization.

How did Pere manage to do all these within 12 months?

I'm not the type to overscrutinize someone but his facts are just all over the place and his knowledge of the US Army is too shadowy for someone who has been in the army for 6 years.
