I never been jobless. I was teaching after my Olevel til I got admission. completed nysc December and by January ending I got my first salary after nysc. Though the pay was meager I never have to depend on anyone after graduation.

Maybe It was providence at work during my days of job search. While my friends were not getting employed, i work in and out of employment easily without connection. But It changed and i was like a desitute in my first six years of becoming self employed. We now give thanks to God

Finished serving 2012. Got a job 2016. Was asked to stop that same 2016 for no reason. Just spent four months working. I even got very good appraisals two weeks prior to the time I was asked to leave. months later the person that fired me called me to apologise that he was acting on orders from the head hr who hated me from when I started that job. Hated me because I refused to lick her shoes the way others would and snitch on my other colleagues. So she sent my line manager to do the dirty job for her. 2017 got three job offers but it happened to be the worst year of my life. Something terrible happened to me that I missed those opportunities. Infact sometimes I feel death is better than what happened to me. Shaked the very fabric of my entire existence. Basically 2016 till now nothing. Thank God for family.

I don't think anyone should spend so much time in seeking job... Once you are jobless, admit you are jobless and go for volunteering... It will burst your CV to get a better job....not having a job is not the problem, being jobless is a big problem

Let me share my testimony for the first time here. I just miraculously got a job last month: I had been jobless since 2017 August. Its the Lord’s doing. Glory to God!

Well, I resigned from a banking job around March cos I was tired of the kind of job I was doing, no joy not happiness whatsoever. This is my 4month of not having a full time job. Funny thing is, I work remotely for two brands, one in Nigeria and one abroad but the pay is just there to keep me going to find something better. So yeah, I thank God for what I have and at least can still seed something to my younger sibling in school.


my friend if only u know wat u ave at d moment. Work freedom, u control ur time. Pls kindly tink/add about farming to ur hustle bcus ur freedom is near.
Truth is I'm currently in my lowest right now, just striving to stay happy and not feel sad. Don't know why though sad

4years after graduating 2003-2007, then 2years after buhari tookover from GEJ, 2016-2018. My experience of These 2years made Buharis govt the most wicked govt ever, but I survived it.

Was jobless for over a year during my teenage years, not working, not learning any craft, not in school.

During that time, I was always in my room, brushing up my skills in a particular field alone on my PC and smartphone. That skill pays the bills today.

I was seen as lazy then, little did they know I was cooking something delicious for myself.

No regrets over my jobless years.



In other news, Nigeria has a bright future ahead. I had a dream about it.
what skills was that? I am intrested.

3 years but now have a job. Volunteering helped keep my mental health intact and I also trained in practical agriculture. Setting up my Catfish biz now and venturing into small scale crop production for now. It can only get better!

10 months and I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Europe. I relocated to Nigeria last year due to a family member’s health issue and was told that the industry doesn’t exist here for my skills and that I needed to know people in high places to get a job.
