That is crass ignorance to compare cbn governor with finance minister. It is like comparing apple to orange. Learn and stop embarrassing yourself. It is like comparing minister of petroleum to nnpc director. Just like Buhari, anyone can be minister of finance but cbn governor must be a professional. My friend learn, unlearn and relearn

Emefiele has tried.

I think Nigeria got into the mess it got into earlier in Buhari’s first tenure because Buhari seemed not to seek his economic advice.

Buhari listened to his fellow cows from the north and introduced Buharinomics rather than age long tested workable economic principles and policies.

Ever since Buhari started taking Emefiele’s counsel, Nigeria has been on a steady economic growth albeit slowly possibly because of other factors.

And lastly his recent ban on forex sales to BDCs is another masterstroke that has been hailed by all economic expert I’ve listened to. The only people that have issues with the new policy are idiotic zombies with zero knowledge of micro and macroeconomic principles but more interested in grilling lizards and vultures.

Happy birthday Emefiele.

In ur post, u have pretended to have knowledge of economy but unfortunately u have zero knowledge of governance because it's not President that make policies. President can only bring idea which he wants his govt to prioritise in policy making but both ministry of finance and CBN are responsible for making policies that will shape the idea and responsible for making policies that shape economy.
In his first tenure PMB was criticised for refusing to constitute economic team which many experts believed was responsible for the economic dwindling of Nigeria. In2019 PMB constituted 8-man economic team.
The new eight-man team is chaired by Doyin Salami, a respected professor of economics at the Lagos Business School, who sits on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s monetary policy team. He was also a crucial part of the transition committee from the Goodluck Jonathan administration back in 2015, as its vice-chair.
Also on board
Former central bank governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, Lagos-based economist Bismarck Rewane
Ode Ojowu, a former presidential chief economic adviser, Iyabo Masha, a former IMF country representative for Sierra Leone.
The body replaced the former economic management team (EMT), which was chaired by vice-president Yemi Osinbajo.
The committee is an assortment of staunch vocal critics of the government’s fiscal policy direction. Salami, like Rewane, is a known proponent of currency devaluation and allowing the naira to float, while Soludo has also been very critical of the Buhari administration’s fiscal policies.
PMB made this team very powerful and gave instruction that anytime they want see him no matter how busy he ia, he promised to well them as such they've no restriction to state House.
However, this 8-man team are people known for their expertise and wide experience in economy home and abroad but on the other hand, they are capitalists who came with many policies that aggravated the sufferings of Nigerians; among the first plan they submitted to the President are complete removal of fuel subsidy, removal of Electricity subsidy, and channel the money to other sectors of govt though it is obvious that some commodities have to be subsidise to alleviate the sufferings of people because we all know that the money will also be looted. They see subsidy as a burden to govt not pondering about the simple of Dubai removal to the commonest man.
So, u need to k ow that ur paper qualifications describing how someone has improved economy or can improve is useless and doesn't reflect Nigerian reality. You bleeped up by being ethnic bias for exempting Emifele from the people who led us to the current economic mayhem not knowing that he contributed than any Nigerian with his poor monetary policies.

After this your long epistle, I have just one question to ask you, who makes the final decision after the Economic experts have given their views?

Immediately Buhari took power, he stopped the free flow of dollar in the economy which caused dollar flight from the Nigerian economy and subsequent recession. If Emefiele was solely responsible for this, why did he not introduce the policy immediately GEJ appointed him?

Your attempt at exonerating Buhari from the many flip flops of his administration is poor.

The bulk of governance stops at his table.
