NO! It's not the same!
My own God asked us to reprove wrongdoers and discipline them but when such individual choose to be unrepentant we disfellowship them.
Well i pray no one experience what that means in our midst because by that time JWs throughout the globe must not greet such a person though he's free to move around but no JW will greet, welcome or eat with him!
In fact according to our God that's a sign that we're all pelting the unrepentant wrongdoers to death, nobody feel sorry for him/her.
No matter how much he has he can't by us back to show him the type of love we share in our midst again.
