bidexiii: After reading these comments in bold , i am beginning to see what your focus is. i asked for a substantive discourse on the subject the expenditure of $600 million on the 12 A29's looking at alternative options , efficacy and best value. I & FEW OTHERS ARE STILL WAITING FOR YOU But you prefer to post pictures of soldiers posturing and military hardware like we are adolescents who get excited and fantasize about being combatants. And when anything is said that doesn't toe the line that PMB is the best thing since sliced bread, you respond with heightened indignation. You don't substantiate, you make no appraisal you don't counter with facts or figures just your own self birthed opinions based on what , I SAID SO . You are beginning to be like a proxy Lai Mohammed. In my opinion Samuel Anyanwu is the most authentic, on the ground real time TRUTHFUL contributor here , NO CONTEST. And you wish to attempt to contend with him , but on superficial emotive led bias and prejudice. 9 Likes |

Hello @Samuel Anyanwu. I'm curious about something. You said troops are getting kidnapped on their way from where they are posted to Maiduguri, right? And that the drivers of the taxis the troops are in sometimes point them out to Boko Haram at the checkpoints of these terrorists. My question is, troops on leave are usually unarmed and not stupid enough to wear their uniform when traveling on leave in the north east. So, exactly how do the drivers of the taxis they board know their occupation and be able to identify them to Boko Haram? It can't be that these drivers memorize the faces of our troops, cos there are thousands of them posted in the north. |

komekn: Only a confirmed m0ron will believe whatever the Nigerian police or any of our security agencies has to say. They lie, fabricate and dissemble as a matter of course, and this even when there's absolutely no need. Truth means nothing to them and they can look the almighty in the face and blandly lie even if he's waving solid and incontrovertible evidence in their face that shows they are talking rubbish. What perpetually amuses me is how they always trumpet their professionalism and respect for the rule of law even when it's clear to a village idi0t that this is not the case. It's no accident the Nigerian police is rated the worst in the world and our security agencies have an unpalatable reputation locally and internationally. 2 Likes |

tutudesz: Sometimes it's just intuition. I was on flight to Logos,Nigeria and there were group of Americans. I IMMEDIATELY knew they were either current or reservists and or contractors they were clearly battle hardened. Apart from their physical presence the posture, the mannerisms, etc On getting up closer saw some 82nd airborne tattoos on a few of them. All I can say is you just know from experience and association. To Identify our soldiers I think will not be hard for people in the North. 1 Like |

komekn:Most of the times, they identify themselves when passing checkpoint or greet other soldiers on patrol or at check. The tone of their voice, movement and behavior can give them away. 2 Likes |

GabrielYulaw: Sincerely, someone like me a driver can assume I’m a personnel. I remember back in Monguno when I travel every weekend to Maiduguri, the drivers take 1k from me instead of the usual 1,200 because they think I’m a personnel sometimes when soldiers travel together even in the park or transit their discussions can make drivers notice. Pass Gist, Bush Gist, How far Commander don show? I go enter Bush immediately I reach Maiduguri, These Bastard, (Mostly Military call BH Bastards) Some make calls at military checkpoints and Greet personnel there. Once you look like a Southerner you are almost assumed as a personnel except during such profiling they notice maybe a student or Humanitarian 10 Likes |
