Mehn.. I didn’t know this thing is already rampant!!

I have 2 guys that did it at a certain health center in lagos. 10k for the vaccination card, with barcode verifiable online. Its instant, now they have both traveled. I could have done also but abeg, since canada has said its not necessary, why would I start lying. Something that follows you all through! Starting from arrivecan.

If you’re thinking of getting the fake card, know that you’re going to a country that knows how to keep records.

Depending on the 3rd party, Note could take between 30-35 or 30days to 40.

In some cases, it could more than 40days.

@Lianna2020...when you say 50/50..... i just found out this from a masters student at UNI of BC who is a friend.. she is a Mastercard scholarship student (1st class). During her application for student visa Mastercard gave them a dedicated Immigration assistant to help them have a smooth application and transition.

The immigration Assistant told/advised her to apply for SP and avoid applying for SOWP for her husband. she should just apply for the visiting visa for the husband. That this increases his chances of getting approval via Visiting visa than SOWP. Which they did and they both where issued the visa.

The immigration assistant advised them once the husband gets into the country he can apply for SOWP easily by driving or getting to the immigration border and get his SOWP (that it is his entitlement to get SOWP once he is present in the country) issued same day (esp in BC dont know if there is a restriction in other Province) this was before Covid, during Covid you apply for it online it takes less than 2 months max. This worked for them

This makes sense to me. She said some of her colleagues that applied for SOWP and where unlucky are still finding it difficult to get their spouse SOWP or Visa approved.

For those of us that are well experience and those that are already in Canada what are your views?.... I would like us to explore this pathway

Actually no two applications are the same. I was advised not to even apply together with my spouse and kids and some said I should just apply for visit for my spouse. At the end, I weighed my options and I didn't want the delay that comes with trying to bring my family to join me after landing in Canada. I ended up applying for SOWP for my spouse and visit for the kids. And to God's glory we were all approved. The good side of this approach is that, it's a lot easier if you are going for a PhD program that is fully or partially funded. In my case, I was partially funded and I have some funds to show too. You must also be able to logically convince the VO as to why you must go with the entire family vis-a-vis your home ties.

So you must strategically weigh your options and your circumstances before making that decision.

Best of luck everyone.

Landing gist landing gist landing gist grin grin grin grin

So I arrived at MMA, all those serious looking bag boys carried my luggage, I think say them be better people until they told me I needed to buy yellow card 6 thousand naira that without the yellow card, I won’t be allowed to board or immigration will charge me 200 dollar, well I quickly made it clear to them that I came to the airport with no money atall not even dollar….I nor get money to waste.

Flight was by 11pm check-in started by 4PM they asked for my
Enrolment letter
Acceptance letter
School fees receipt

The airline staff (KLM) verified the documents, Omo one fyn woman..I nor just understand just squeeze face Dey say 3 weeks to resumption…Omo I being 1 faint …after snapping those documents I mentioned earlier, I was asked to bring my covid test result…then I realize I’m good to go

If you are traveling..buy snacks or anything put for your bag….hunger almost kill me.

So when I arrived Toronto airport; officer asked me if I have been accepted by the school I’m going to, I said yes, and he said if I have proof I told him yes and should him my acceptance letter.
He was observing the letter then I gave him my letter of introduction without him asking grin
Then he ask if I have paid my fee .. I told him yes and gave him my receipt…he observe the receipt and he said …oboy your admission letter say 15k then why did you pay 3k …..I just smile and said ….we are allowed to pay per the courses you are offering and I will be offering only 3 courses that’s why I paid 3k …..he just node head
So I told him I have my covid result…he asked me to bring it.
Then he started asking me some questions, Omo …I think the officer was looking at my file and asking me questions from there. I realize that when he called the name of my sponsor grin. And asked about his job. I told him every every.
So he ask if I have proof of funds….I told him my sponsor refused to give me grin (I forget to carry o)
Then final question..what will you be doing till your school resume….I told him quarantine grin
So he printed my study permit Nd SiN stuf …..Nd started advising me that I can work for 20 hours then holiday time, I can work for 40 hours….and I can go back to Nigeria for visiting (I just shake my head for my mind).
So that’s all….then I was walking down to the next part I started hearing…hello sir, hello sir , hello sir…..I didn’t bother looking back ….I nor believe say immigration officer go Dey call me sir….I finally looked back, it was d officer and he gave me one of my print out that I forgot with him grin……

So I went to claim my baggage.
After that, I went to do covid test, then after that …went to one joint to wait for my shuttle to my hotel. Nice hotel nice view, Everything went smooth and I thank God for a safe trip.
Wishing everyone coming this fall Safe travels.

I use style like their food sha.
Thanks for the well-detailed landing gist.

A quick one,

based on your flight experience to Canada, is a Transit visa needed for International Student going from Lagos to Amsterdam to Toronto via KLM?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by DeeShares: 2:08pm On Aug 05, 2021
Good day everyone.

I would really appreciate your advice.

When I was having trouble sending the additional documents that IRCC requested from me, I found out through the Lagos visa office that my file was with the Nairobi office, but I've emailed Nairobi twice now and I have still not gotten any response from them even though my issue was time sensitive. Luckily I sent the documents via email and through webform to Nairobi and the main IRCC webform. I only got a response from the main webform reiterating that Nairobi has my file and they also let me know that the appropriate department has received my documents. But till today nothing from Nairobi. Is this how they are? I really thought they were more efficient than this.

I submitted my application since April 16th and my eligibility review hasn't even started not to talk of medicals and I sent all the NSE documents. This entire process is just frustrating. I pray it will end in praise for all of us on this journey.

Hi Anon123, please I need your opinion. I applied for my gcms note through CBSA on the 15th of June, (My eligibility review started on the 1st of June) then on the 11th of July they replied that they will need more 60days to process my request.

I applied again on the 13th of July through IRCC and on the 15th of July through CBSA, till now I haven't heard from any of them. I know the last two are yet to be up to the 30days but I am kinda worried about the first note. Have you had that experience before... Do you think there might be a problem?

I doubt if micro finance is a recognized financial institution by ircc, I'll advise you move it but you must attach the micro finance statement of account referencing the transaction, this should also be back up with a simple letter of explanation.
Just my thought though

Your thought is on point.
A statement of acc/reference letter from the MF bank and SOP should capture the date the lump sum entered the GTBank account....
