You have no common sense.

No one ever asked Lewandowski, Aguero, Ronaldo De Lima and other great strikers to play out of position. You know why? Because they are bloody good at one thing - goal scoring.

Rooney was asked to play everywhere because his managers knew there was always one player in his team better at goal scoring than he does. I am not your biased goat who would put everything Man Utd over other teams because of club rivalry.

Aguero is heads and shoulders above Rooney - in everything. It’s not even close. Aguero scored more goals for City in 10 years than Rooney did at United in 13 years. grin cheesy

You're a slowpoke and waste of space.

Wouldn't want argue with you. You know nothing. I don't look at stas to determine player worthiness.

Have you a nice day and time.

How did Ronaldo outscore Rooney in 07/08?

Was Ronaldo a striker?

How did Salah outscore Kane, Lukaku, etc from the wing? Was Salah a striker?

Rooney - shit as a striker
Rooney - shit as a #10.

I peeped the statistically best seasons of selected PL players, as predicted Rooney was at the bottom of the pile. grin cheesy

Rooney mostly played from the wing and Ronaldo from the centre. The front three often switched. Garry Neville said Ronaldo can be asked to start from the right but he ends up in the middle or left because he picked the weakest area of the opposition to attack.

Tevez was our striker. Rooney was playing from the wing in a fluid three. Ronaldo even played in the middle more than Rooney.

Rooney was being used as the sacrifice for Ronaldo.

Even in the following season when Rooney provided the Assist for Ronaldo to score against Inter Milan, at half time SAF had withdrawn Rooney from attack to protect the left back where Inter attacked us in the 1st half. Rooney was acting more like a wingback throughout the 2nd half while Giggs moved closer to the opposition box. It was the first time Rooney overlapped that he picked Ronaldo with a pinpointing cross that resulted in the second goal.

Stats will not tell you all these Same way stats will not tell you that Scholes and Ronadinho did great things.

You no know ball. Bye

12 hours later. This fool has refused to take on the challenge posed to him. What stupid mandate are you talking about? If you have a brilliant player in your academy, the surest way of keeping him is by playing him and aligning your plans to fit into his ambitions.

You always make me laugh. Here is your churlish style of arguing. 1. Insult 2. Strawman 3. Insult again 4. Deflect. With you, the major point will never be responded to. As soon as you are trapped, 5. you will bring up another irrelevant point that nobody was talking about and then, use it to throw more abusive words. 6. Pat yourself in the back.

Again, I ask, if a prodigious talent means the player must be given a start, why did Ronaldo De Lima not start or play at all under Carlos Alberto in 1994. I selected said player because that is a player you love. You could not answer the question, you called it a false equivalency yet in the very same breath brought up what Moyes did with Rooney - when MCFC is being discussed. grin

Pep failed to do this and the player wanted out. It’s as simple as that. You have travelled thousands of miles to defend Pep in this but your blockhead refused to ask the $64K question: why would Sancho want to leave a set up as brilliant as City. They have the best school in Europe. He had already had training sessions with David Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero, etc.
I wonder how the intelligent United fans always let you get off with this weak strawman style argument. Nobody is arguing why Sancho left. We have his own testimony - he wanted regular playing time and he knew it was unlikely considering the pecking order. But here you are, presenting a poser as though this question was not already answered pages back and then asking it like it was a bone of contention. Yet, you are still deflecting from the main issue - why was he offered a new contract? why was he invited like Brahim and Foden? If Pep was not going to use him in the first team that season, why did the other 2 players that were invited like Sancho, feature that very season? grin

There was no reason for him to leave if he hadn’t felt betrayed to leave. However, you are too useless upstairs to even give this a logical thought. Your tonsils are permanently jammed in Pep’s bütt, it would take 5 Fire Departments to rescue you.

"there was no reason for him to leave, if he hadn't felt betrayed". When we asked you to present where this was said or alluded to, you replied with insults.
Without promises, there wouldn’t be expectations. Without expectations, there wouldn’t be a feeling of betrayal.
Present where this was alluded to or implied. LOL.
Sancho left because what was said didn’t match what was happening.
Present where Sancho said this or where it was implied. Is it hard? All we know is, Pep came in 2016/17, promoted 3 youth players at the end of that season (after watching them for a season), offered first team contracts and invited them to join the first team tour. 2 of those players who stayed on played that season - with the first team. The evidence shows Sancho would have played. The evidence also shows Sancho would not have had as much playing time with the first team as he did with Dortmund - which is the only citable reason as to why he left.

Sancho left because the manager didn’t promote him. Pep had trouble in his debut season and he was scared to play youth players even in dead rubber games. And for every Man City loss in 2016/17, Pep never spoke about giving the academy boys a chance, he always opined he would look into the market to get replacements.
Yet Tosin Adarabioyo played in Pep's very first season for the first team. grin grin

Sancho wasn’t ready for that long game or hoping things might turn around. He dumped Pep because Pep was too scared to play him. Sancho wasn’t promoted(your original lie) so I don’t know why you are still here saving face. You are a pathological liar. We have asked you to provide one link where Sancho was promoted, the only article you could find was “set to be promoted”.
Sancho was not promoted - but he was offered a promoted contract. Sancho was not promoted - but he was invited to the first team's pre-season tour in the USA when other youth team players were to be in the UK. Your entire argument as to what makes me wrong is that Sancho did not feature in the EPL - even when he left before the EPL started. cheesy cheesy

If you aren’t lying about witnessing Sancho’s promotion at Man City campus, you are lying about “some of you” reading an Athletic article you are incapable of accessing. cheesy grin
LOL. People who can read will see the fine print.

TheLequte, Jodera, iamoyindamola if Sweden don't win this PK shootout, it will be very painful to them. Canada did well defending especially in the extra time..

Didn’t see the game... Was occupied.

So Canada won via PK. Must be very painful for Sweden. The quality of PKs in women football is laughable.

finally Canada had their first football gold.
Sweden paid the price for starting the 2nd half poorly and allowing Canada back into the game.
In fact, they literally gave Canada the game at 2nd half. Since the equalizing, Canada just needed to hold it on from there
Honestly. Hoping Sweden will put an end to the game earlier but allowed it to go into PK. They had advantage to score and win, they still missed their PK.

Lol... Well, I had an open mind watching that game cos I wasn't in support of any of the two teams. So congratulations to Canada. They just need to thank Var cos it was var that helped their ministry with that Pk.

Also, that Lawrence girl of Canada was the only lady that impressed me in that match. The rest just dey normal grin

Wayne Rooney has revealed he sacrificed parts of his own game so former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo could excel at Manchester United.

The Everton striker appeared as a pundit on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football and spoke at length about the Real Madrid star.

The pair played together at Old Trafford for five seasons, winning three Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy in that time.

Rooney even revealed what he said to Ronaldo after the pair's spat at World Cup 2004 - when the England man was sent off against Portugal.

However, Rooney also spoke about the five-time Ballon d'Or winner in high regard - and even revealed that he would sacrifice his attacking role to defend so Ronaldo wouldn't have to.

On Sky Sports, Rooney said: "If you've got Cristiano Ronaldo in your team, you don't take away from him what he's best - and that's being fresh and being ready when win the ball getting to score you a goal.

"If you're asking Cristiano Ronaldo to chase full-backs and run back in you're taking a lot away from his game

"It probably does [take a lot from Rooney's game], but at the time he was the more dangerous player and he's the one who's going to produce that magic which is going to win us games.

"As a I said before we're a team you didn't mind doing that.

"We had a good compromise because me and Tevez would do a lot more work defensively than Cristiano.

"But with Cristiano, you knew he would win us those big games with the big moments. With any other player, you probably wouldn't but with Cristiano, he was that good you had to accommodate him.

"I would gladly do that for him to score big goals and help us win trophies."

Rooney started scoring more goals when Tevez and Ronaldo left and before RVP came.

His slow poison method isn’t ideal in some conditions, one like this. He has to follow the Fergie approach and instill discipline in those boys.

It’s as if those boys don’t fear him.

No need. Let him stay at his current club and wait for PSG. Won’t want another round of Pogba or Di Maria-like drama every transfer window.

Mentioned this some days ago, and was told “I’m just making stuff up.”

Amusing how one would think that City will choose Grealish over Messi because they signed him for £100m. “So it shows how much they wanted him” lmao

If they knew Messi was going to be available due to La Liga restrictions, the Grealish deal won’t have happened.

Well... maybe Fabrizio and Guardiola are making stuff up too.

Grealish should go thank the gods in his village for making the deal happen before Messi news broke, else e for dey write epistle like Harry Kane by now.

You said underperforming players like Sterling were being moved - made up. The main player who asked to leave was B. Silva. You said the Kane could be ditched to acquire Messi, plausible, but you added that Levy wanted 150 M for Kane and I said nobody knew that - people had been bandying figures but what was officially claimed was that Levy did not want to sell to a fellow EPL team. Besides, signing Grealish is not what ruled MCFC out from signing Messi (although the number 10 would have been key) - it is the Harry Kane potential signing, from the manager's body language, that ruled signing Messi out. Same reason Kane rushed to post a speech today (I am sure he will be relaxed again).

I think they mean FC Barcelona will not get a fee. The other fees will go directly to Messi and his agent (his Dad).
